The 1st case of superfundication was in Genesis: Cain and Abel. Pretty eye opening and cool, but need to read with a concordance for the original translation.
@@ChrissyChrissyChrissy333 I don't think so... it is only that cain was late to go out... some second twin take their time to get out! If it would have been so, cain should have been much smaller... nothing about it! It does not happen naturally in nature, it has to be the consequence of the medication that was not existing before...
My twins also were conceived at least three to four weeks apart. They were delivered at 32 weeks and she was normal 32 weeks gestation but he was so much little and they said he was perhaps 28-29 weeks gestation. They didn't have scans back then. She came home a week later and he came home 6 weeks later. Dr was so surprised when they were born as they had never picked up a second heartbeat. They are now 61 years old!!
I got pregnant with twins and a single after being in menopause for almost 3 yrs....was quite the surprise.....sadly i lost the single afer 1 month and one of the twins at 2 months....the remaining twin stayed and was born a month early at 4.5 lbs....shes an adult now and shes amazing !
Thank you for giving a name for this. My twins born in 1993 were conceived two weeks apart. They are both girls. The one that was conceived first had Down’s Syndrome. She was the joy of our family until the Lord took her home 2 years ago at age 28. We had four boys when the twins were conceived so we were elated when we found out at seven months that they were girls. We did not know Sarah had down syndrome until she was born. I always tell her surviving twin, Hannah, how special she is because God knew how much I wanted a daughter and when Sarah was conceived, He knew just how long I would have her and that I would need another daughter. My relationship with Hannah is wonderful as we have helped eachother heal. God is good and He doesn’t make mistakes!
I’m in the US and I was a nurse back in the late 70s and working in the newborn nursery in the local hospital. We had a set of twins born that were boys and one was much smaller than the other and actually looked premature. The conclusion the doctors came to was that the smaller baby was conceived about 4 weeks after the other bigger twin. I think back then they didn’t document those things but it did happen.
@@RebeccaRobertsSupertwins Yes, every baby is a blessing no matter their imperfections, disabilities etc! I love them all! God loves them all and He doesn’t make mistakes!
My hubby and I had just welcomed our son and I started taking birth control after a couple weeks of failed breastfeeding. Never missed a day and always took it at the same time of the day. I had started to feel awful and had what seemed like a cycle so went about my daily life. We were moving and I told my hubby that I was going to skip my pull that morning hoping is feel better and I did. My friend was watching our son and I was directing the movers when a sudden gush of blood hit. Confused I call my doctors office and was informed it was likely a miscarriage. I said that's impossible I'm on the pill and never missed one. My baby boy was only 6 months old and my first so I was soaking up everything with him. I was asked to come in to see the doctor only to find out that indeed I was pregnant and if miscarried. An ultrasound was done to be sure everything was good and my heart stopped! There on the screen was a little one. I was 12 weeks along and alone due to the move. I wanted to tell my hubby in person so I did when I got back to the house. Everyone was shocked!!! I was placed on bedrest and neighbors and friends suddenly poured in to help with the move with getting me a bed put together asap. They fed my family too. I was almost 33 weeks along when my amniotic sac tore and now placed in the hospital to keep him in a long as possible. My heart rate spiked and doctor said today is the day as my heart rate could be an infection. I had the most incredible team in the delivery room. NICU staff and doctor, nurses and of course my doctor. I was told to expect a 3-4 lb baby at this point of my pregnancy and he's be in the NICU until what should have been his due date. So we're good to go and everyone assumes their positions. The delivery was uncomplicated (well until 4 weeks later I got a kidney infection). Please tell me his weight I just needed to know I was scared. My little guy was 6lbs 2oz!! He spent 2 days in the NICU and went home with me. Now I've got 2 boys born 11 months apart. The youngest is October 1st and my oldest October 30th. So for the month of October they are the same age. Doctor told me having twins would have been easier as the schedule would be the same. Then followed with... "the first year will be the hardest. Make it through that and you're good". Here I am today with two amazing boys that are 20 & 21. I always wonder what would have been if the younger twin had survived. I feel incredibly blessed to have such great young men.
My Sisters were born in 1963 and the exact same thing happened to my Momma. SHE DID NOT take anything back then. They were conceived approximately 5 weeks apart and formed in two separate "sacks". When they were born, Twin 1 weighed in at 8 lbs and Twin 2 weighed in at almost 3 llbs. Both were healthy but Twin 2 was considered to be way premature. She was kept in the hospital for 6 weeks. Today 61 years later, they are both doing fine. No health complications except Twin 2 is only 4'8" tall.
I have twins boys, Tony (Baby A) and Ryan (Baby B). I was only 15 when I got pregnant, only 16 for four months when I had them. I carried them to 37 weeks. I delivered them vaginally, 6 minutes apart and they were both almost 6lbs each. Tony was 5lbs 10oz and Ryan was 5lbs 4oz. They never had to be in the NICU and got to come home with me. I raised my babies, as a baby myself, all on my own. They're going on 22 years old now and Ryan is expecting his own baby (a girl) in August. My first grandbaby. I really think that mother's of multiples have a special kind of bond with each other. All babies are a wonderful blessing, obviously. But, multiples are just a SPECIAL kind of wonderful blessing.❤❤❤❤
That’s amazing! I can’t imagine having twins at 15! I had my first daughter at 17, second daughter at 20 and twins, boy and girl, at 22. Being a teen mom was hard work, I was just going into my senior year when she was born, but her dad was always there to help and our families were very supportive. We got married eight months before she was born, and are still married 41 years later. I can’t imagine raising her on my own. My hat is off to you my dear. You’re an amazing woman and mother!
Hubby and I have twins that are almost 30 years old. It was a high risk pregnancy, so I had sonogram pretty often. Throughout the pregnancy, I had two different due dates. They were conceived 4 days apart. They had two different due dates. So yes, we conceived and then 4 days later, conceived again!
Interesting....but do babies conceived on the same day even hv the same weights or grow at the same rate when still in the womb......coz I'm thinking how to they see a 4 day difference
@@dzidzisoamandakatanda1916 if there was an early scan (6ish weeks) it's actually pretty obvious. They grow SUPER fast at that stage, and the difference of a half of a week is crazy. I had back to back early miscarriages and so I was monitored very carefully in the early part of my subsequent pregnancies and got to see the difference =)
Had a family member with two uterus and ended up pregnant with two sets of twins. One in each uterus and they were conceived at different times. She did end up losing them all. The way they handled medical things during COVID was horrible. They told my mother she was dying when she was by herself and made her go through the whole process by herself. Nobody should be told they're dying and go through that by themselves.
My mother died alone in another continent and I couldn’t visit her in her final days. March 2020 She has a horrible mother and it has been a very difficult journey.
I'm a baby #1. My Brother is baby # 2 and oddly he was born first with myself 9 minutes later. My Mom conceived twice within weeks AND did that with TWO of her pregnancies. My older sister was a twin too - though a sledding accident caused my Mom to lose 1 baby of her First pregnancy. And.. this was all from back in the 1950's.
I have had two sets of twins naturally. I have never taken a fertility drug because I didn’t have a problem getting pregnant. My first set was a case of fused placenta where one twin was getting all the nutrients and the second twin kept falling further and further behind. They watched my pregnancy daily and when the twin that was behind started feeling too much stress they took the babies at 35.5 weeks. 1 lb 3 oz difference between them. They were not identical. 2nd set of twins was a bit smoother though one twin was consistently a little behind the other in growth. I was able to carry them almost full term 37.5 weeks. Just because the Dr wanted to induce me then because I lived 100 miles away from the hospital and they didn’t want the possibility of me not making it to the hospital in time. In a previous single pregnancy I progressed faster then normal during labor. It was only after they were born that they found out that the one twin that was consistently behind was actually a week behind in gestation. He wasn’t as far a long as his brother and there were a lot of signs that he was only 36.5 weeks along. The drs started giving my husband high fives because he got be pregnant twice. One while I was already pregnant with another which they told us was very rare. I kept thinking what about my high fives. I was the one to send out a second egg while already pregnant. 🤷🏼♀️😉 Of course my case was never documented.
I experienced a similar situation, but not recognized by my doctors. My twins were conceived at different times (1-2 weeks apart); I know because I felt the pain when I ovulated both times. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and saw two sacs but only one baby. Doctor said it could be vanishing twin syndrome and to not be surprised if we lost one. We did a LOT of praying for the next 2 weeks and next scan showed 2 healthy babies with strong heartbeats! They measured 1-2 weeks apart my whole pregnancy and my younger son was born first. He was 4 lbs 12 oz and my other was 6 lb 11oz, almost two lbs difference! Fraternal twins
I commented yes I believe my mom’s situation but no thought then. My mom’s twins born Mine La Motte Missouri at home. My older sister very tiny her twin brother huge.
Wow! What an amazing story! I’m completely speechless! I’ve been a nurse for 35 years, and never once heard of this happening! In fact, I didn’t even think it could be possible as I was listening to you. I subscribed to your channel because I’d love to learn more. I swear I learn something new every day! Lol 😂❤
Thank you for subscribing 😊 I never knew this was possible either. I guess as my pregnancy was monitored for so early on, my doctor was able to tell I had conceived again. It’s fascinating 😀
I’ve also been a nurse in both Labor and Delivery and in the NICU for 30 years. I’ve not ever heard of this, but wondering if this hasn’t happened more frequently than what we really knew about. If you think about it, we do a lot more fetal surveillance now, especially with multiples, then we ever used to do. It’s like anything else I guess. The more we “study” something the more we learn about it. Congratulations on your twins and the rest of your babies! Just curious…did you ever go on a fertility drug again??!
I was the second conception, about 10 weeks after my brother was conceived. The only reason they even knew I was there was because my brother was lost. They felt the need to perform a D&C. They dilated mom. By some stroke of luck, they saw me. Blew everyone's minds. This was in the 1960s, sonogram/ultrasound was a new thing.
Did your mom pass your brother naturally or have the d&c? That is fascinating! I’m sure you’ve missed him your whole life but I’m glad they caught you!! What a miracle
@@alittlebitofmary She passed him naturally. They started the D&C procedure because they didn't feel that "everything" had been shed. I'm not sure exactly what they believed was retained. They saw me (I was about the size of a peanut), and backed out. Obviously, I survived. Yes, minor miracle. And, yes, quite fascinating.
@@karynstouffer3562THANKS for sharing your story Never Ever heard of that happening here in Australia,You Must Be A MILLION To One PRECIOUS ĴEM and all the Best for Your Future ❤********** 🎉
I have a friend that got pregnant she was expecting 1 baby but she was getting large very fast. They did some scans and sent her home . They called her and informed her she was having twins. They called her back the next day and informed her she was having triplets. It turned out she had gotten pregnant with one baby and the next month she dropped another egg and it split into twins. All boys . Now mind you she already had two girls that were in grade school. She was not happy being pregnant again, she had not undergone any fertility treatments. This was back in the 1980s in America. Those boys are now fathers themselves. Amazing isn’t it!
I know of a woman who naturally got pregnant with triplets. All girls. The first one came out in the first trimester and didn't make it. The second one born around 32 weeks and, the last one born at 35 weeks. Now her twins have different birthdays
My daughter in law had boy-girl twins 5yrs ago. The boy had to have help breathing, the girl needed no help at all. But they say he was conceived first as she came out first and he sat on her head the whole pregnancy causing her to have to wear a helmet to round out her head
This was the case with a set of twins at a daycare center I was working at. I think their gestation was said to have been three to four weeks between their conception. It’s amazing!
As for the rest of your story, you can share it if and when you're ever ready. It's all up to you. What you've already shared is amazing and more than enough! Thank you :)
I guess a lot of faternal twins have different conception times and dates - could be 1 minute apart or 10 minutes or 60 minutes or a day apart or a week apart - the two separate eggs could be released at different times/dates & even if two eggs are released from ovaries at same time their journeys to womb could take different lengths of time and sperm could penetrate the eggs at different times.
Yes, it's not that uncommon, they are just usually close enough together that there's not much of a difference and of course no real way of proving it, unless the twins have different paternity so obviously must've been conceived in more than one "event" (which has certainly happened!)
My Mom got Pregnant with my little brother, Jay. In 4 weeks later, got pregnant with my sister Tammy. And she was not on Medication to help get pregnant it was all natural
This happened to my best friend in 1975 before they could do scans. She was 18 years old. When her sons were born the first baby out weighed less than 5 pounds and the doctor said he was premature but that happened a lot with twins. The second baby was 7 pounds. He did not look or act like he was a preemie. As they were growing that first year the twins developed at different levels. By the time they were 3 she had given birth to a set of identical twin girls but the first baby boy was showing signs of mental challenges. The doctors concluded that he had been conceived at a later date and had suffered some injuries to his umbilical cord from the larger, older fetus pushing down on him. So even though baby 1 was the first born he was actually premature when his brother's time to be born happened. BTW: My friend was half Shoshone Indian and twins are rare in Native American tribes.
We know a family that had twins that were 3 months apart. They ended up having a c-section since the smaller one was still so little. But they are doing great today. Almost 3 years old now 😉
Thank you for sharing your story as with it becoming pregnant while pregnant is rare, it may help someone else in the future. I found this very interesting and informative.
So amazing to hear about your story because it is not something that happens that often. I had a similar situation with a 10 days difference between the twins, they called mine double fetation but it is basically the same thing. My pregnancy was really rocky too, the membranes with my youngest fissured at 15 weeks and she held on until 28 weeks, they were both in the NICU for 2 months and are now 1.4 years old and going strong. Preemies are fighters, aren't they?
I am 32 years old, born at 24 weeks. We are fighter and nurtered by love of our parents. At my birth (my mother had c-section), doctors didnt know if they wanted to try to save me... They asked my dad to speak to me and I responded making a little sound. I reconized his voice. This was the signe fir them that I WANTED to live. I was 800 g. ❤
First of all, I am sorry for what you went through before you became pregnant with your twins. I can't imagine how hard that was to go through. I know I am late in saying but congratulations on the birth of all your beautiful babies. Big hugs to you all. I have a story to tell after hearing you mention that you were told you had endometriosis. I haven't finished watching your video yet, but I wanted to let you know my experience for your benefit and the benefit of others out there who may also have been told this. Perhaps it is the case for you, but perhaps it is necessary to get a second opinion. Almost 30 years ago, a female "doctor" in NZ, told me I had endometriosis. I was in my mid twenties. She told me I probably wouldn't be able to have any more children. I had two more, making five altogether. This same "doctor" asked me if I drank when I went to see about a bad headache that wouldn't go away. I said, no, it is not a hangover! She said that she meant it might be better if I did! I left her rooms silently fuming. When I took my little daughter to her to ask about about a growth on her scalp in her hair, she told me it was ringworm. I told her she was born with a very tiny patch that didn't have hair, in her hair on top of her scalp, which had a tiny growth that bled when it was knocked with the hairbrush. I left that room feeling ignored and angry. About a year later, we moved back to Australia and I took her to the local doctor who knew exactly what it was immediately. He told me to take her straight upstairs to a treatment room to inject it to shrink it a little and six days later it was completely removed. It came back as a low grade malignancy. Why am I telling you this? Not all doctors are equal. I didn't get to choose my doctor in the first instance. The practice operated on "you turn up and wait your turn to see the next available doctor". No choice given. All the best to you. Hugs.
I can so relate to the bit where the sonographer was quiet and focused on the screen! I was panicking like crazy thinking something had happened. I kept asking if everything was ok and she kept telling me she would tell me as soon as she knew lol. I also was having my scan just as lockdown happened so my partner had to wait outside the scan room. When they eventually told me that I was having twins I almost had a heart attack ha ha. There were two ladies in the scan room with me and I remember each of them taking one hand each and then breaking the news to me that they could see two babies 😅. They are now 3 years old and absolutely wonderful
Oh wow, so our twins are the same age 🎉 mine were born in September. I found it quite scary being in the room and having the scan on my own, but finding out you are having multiples without your partner, I found quite a shame. I mean nobody expects to have multiples so finding that out on your own is quite a shock. For me the silence was really worrying because we already knew we were carrying one baby as we had seen it and I feared she was quiet because the baby had died. I never expected her to say she could see another baby there. 😀
@@RebeccaRobertsSupertwins basically that’s what I thought too but your story is amazing! I literally was nearly screaming coming out of my scan lol! When the ladies told me I swear I shot bolt up right on the bed and think I might have sworn too 😂😂😂. I was in such shock!!! But yea we have the same amount of children too lol and are around the same age and our kids even have similar names 😂. That’s bizarre… I sound like a right weirdo lol I promise I’m not ha ha.
Such an amazing story. I feel like the part of your pregnancy you withheld may be important for the next woman looking for information about this. I do hope you'll find the strength to share it wherever you're ready.
In 1973 I also got pregnant while pregnant. I didn't know there was 2. We didn't get Sonos as a routine. I miscarried the 2nd one first at 4 weeks and the doctor told me it looked normal for a 4 week, but I was supposed to be 7 weeks, and it wasn't the right size. I was bleeding quite a bit and he said I needed a D & C. Once he started the procedure, he discovered and removed the other one. I had gotten pregnant while pregnant. He put me on a strong birth control pill. 3 months later, I was pregnant again. I had a beautiful, healthy daughter. I was then given the pill and an IUD. 2 years later, I got a baby boy while having those. Again , I was given a different pill and another IUD, and I got pregnant with my final baby boy. At 7 months, I had him because of placenta previa. I had an emergency hysterectomy. I have always longed for my 2 miscarried babies.
My Mother in 1963 had this happen as well. She had NO idea she was having two babies until delivery. We, twin girls were born at 32 weeks and weighed 3#2oz & 2#8 oz. We remained in hospital for several months. No issues or problems to this day. We were so lucky:) Bless you:)
My twin brother was born the same day as me but he was a lot smaller and skinny and weaker. We were about the same weight but I always thought we were conceived at different times. I had no idea that was possible but after this video I know that is what happened. Thanks
Back before there were scans, I had twins, one huge boy 9 pounds and one very small girl 7 pounds. I am fairly certain they were conceived separately. They are old now 40.
Aww Rebecca, what an amazing story about your gorgeous twins Noah and Rosalie, so special they are. I bet when they are older it will be fascinating for them to know about their miracle journey. Sending love to you all xxx 🥰💗
Hi Louise, yes, it’s fascinating isn’t it. One day they will learn how special they really are 🥰 Nice to see your name pop-up. Hope you’re well? See you in the next video take take care lovely xx
I also had this happen. My twins are 26 now and back then they had just started studying this. My son conceived first was 8lb 2 and my Daughter conceived second was clearly premie at 6lb4. Its amazing what our body can do
Now I have questions. My Mom gave birth to twins that were born in 1959 (so no scans, only an x-ray which I remember seeing sincere I was 5 years old). They were born only 10 days early. #1, boy, was 8 lbs, 6 oz. 21 minutes later (no C-section), #2, girl, was 6 lbs, 8 oz. So many questions!
Your daughter was a good size preemie. My first born was 12 days early @5#12 oz 12 mos later his sister who was 8 days early was 6# even. Your preemie would have been a good size baby, like her brother it she was full term. My youngest was born 23 mos later and was 3 days early weighing 7 #, 4 OZ. I said if I had a forth baby it would have been born on their due date. LOL) Interesting stories...thanks for sharing! ( 3 babies in 3 years...all in there 30's now.) What a blessing all of our babies are!
@@karenallen7064 our bodies are still a mystery and I would imagine and hope they will always do things that continue to surprise us. One of my friends is about to give birth to a twin to her daughter that is 3 years old. I can’t even imagine that from IVF. I love being a woman.
My twin boys are 2 weeks apart 😅 yes, it sounds ridiculous but it’s true.. it’s the first time I’ve ever heard about it, never knew it could happen until it happened 😁 I had them when a was 40 weeks and 2 days through c-sec and they were born healthy and ready to go home with mommy and daddy. They are now 3yrs old 🥰
There is a young lady from Northeast Kansas that got pregnant while pregnant. We knew her and her family. Her conceptions were about 2 months apart. One twin was normal size at birth and the other was definitely a premie. This was in the mid 90's before ultrasounds done on every pregnancy. They did not pick up a second heart beat. Everyone was definitely surprised.
That's mind-blowing. I always heard in school that once a woman gets pregnant her hormone level changes in such a way to prevent an egg to be produced and fertilized during pregnancy.
I remember you being in my “due date” Facebook group when pregnant! Your video just randomly came up on my RUclips page. So nice to hear your story again! ❤
This happened in me twice! I was 13 days pregnant with my daughter when I became pregnant with her sister and the second pregnancy they said I was 7 days pregnant when I got the second boy . At birth each pregnancy was 37 weeks and baby a was 7lbs and baby b was 5lbs
What a lovely lady you are! I was riveted listening to your every word! I’ve heard of it happening before, but your story was so warm and heartfelt……..glad you WERE lying down when told! And I loved your husband’s reaction! Bless him. I’m a grandma now, but going back to my first pregnancy ( no scanners then! Just X-rays!) I was due Nov 5th, nothing happened so was taken into hospital, and THEY decided I had twins, one hidden behind the other as I was getting so big! X-rays were considered Dangerous back then, but I was sent for one, and they insisted it was twins. MY POOR HUSBAND nearly collapsed….so late in the day we had got one cot, one pram..what to do! Eventually I was induced on Nov 15th, and was in Labour until 1.35am in the morning when my first son was born…with difficulty! Matthew James weighed 9lbs 8oz!! Just huge! 1st baby clothes didn’t fit, so had to buy second size. So I’m very very glad everything went so well for you both plus babies! Glad you already had had one, so had an idea About caring for babies….how lovely you had a boy and a girl! Lovely names too! I had two more sons in later years, NOT as big thank goodness…I’m thinking you had a caesarean? But so very exciting, and a wonderful tale to share with us! To keep all the notes and “when you get time eventually “ perhaps you might feel like writing your story…..I’m sure your twins would be thrilled to have a copy when older! Now you just mentioned you went on to have two more children!! So, five altogether!! Goodness! And Congratulations!! Truly beautiful story and they all sound super children! Much love and hugs to you all! 👩🦳🌹💕💕💕💫👏👏🔥🔥🌻🌻🌻🙏xxxxxxxx
My bff had her 1st son at age 36, he weighed in at 11lb 2oz, which amused all as she is 1 inch under 5ft in height. She had 2 more sons after that, she was 40 on her 3rd. They are all married with children now. At 75 she is still as young ss ever, they are all the best of friends and do everything all together, parties, holidays etc. The best human being on earth loved by all who meet her. Congrats to you sweetheart. Much love ❤
This is a fabulous story, and congratulations on the birth of Big Brother Noah and his Little Sister Rosalie! Because they were conceived at different times, they share a birthday and a uterus. So, I guess that is considered twins. Although what they should be more accurately described as “wombmates!” ☺️
This happened to a friend several years ago. They were born as "twins" even though they were a conceived a month apart. Mother was on hormones and continued them since she didn't know she was pregnant. The 2nd child had some issues in life since he was born a month early- but received lot of therapies and help.
My Husband is the second baby of fraternal twins. My Mother-in-Law didn't know she was having twins until she was in labor with my husband's sister. We say that his sister was two weeks late and my husband was six weeks early. They were born in 1971.
This is so interesting. And honestly, I'm kind of surprised it doesn't happen more often. Idk why but if I think about it, it seems like it'd be an easy thing for your body to mistakingly release more eggs not realizing it's already pregnant or just because bodies do weird medical things sometimes lol. Idk. Pretty cool though!
@@lisamedla I'm post menopausal now, but don't recall if I had ovulation cramping. I do recall my mom saying that she had it and would actually pass out. This was in the late 50's-60's and her doctor didn't believe her. She always had extremely painful periods...luckily I didn't follow her.
I mean, fraternal twins are always a case of two separate egg follicles developing and it's likely that sometimes they are released at different enough times, some days apart maybe, that they get fertilised from two separate "events". But still close enough together that the size difference is within the expected range, so it goes unnoticed and unprovable - unless they have different paternity!
Actually your body has a build in safety mechanism for this not to happen :) When you are pregnant the Uterus' lining gets thicker (almost like when you are on your period) which releases progesterone. Progesterone is an ovulation inhibitor. Once the placenta starts forming even more progesterone is released. However due to the hormones in the ovulation medicine, this whole mechanism gets messed up and this double pregnancy can happen :) but let's remember it's better it doesn't happen a lot because without modern medicine it's likely that at least one of the babies wouldn't make it in this case
I knew 2 girls who were not twins even though their mom was pregnant with both at the same time. She had 2 uterus. They were born a few months apart. Both full term. This video was quite interesting.
such a cool & unique story!!😁💜 could u not have video chatted with him for your appointment due to not being able to physically be in the room with u? legit curious:)
Multiple friends of mine also had babies during pandemic lockdown rules and they were not allowed to call or video chat with their partners unfortunately.
I am 36 years old and I have a twin brother. I am born in Eastern Europe, and back then we didn't have much technology. My mother had 3 scans during her entire pregnancy and they only saw both of us at the last scan, on April 1st. We're born on the 19th, my brother was full term - 3.2kg, while I only weighed 2.5kg. My mother was 36 years old when she had us and they told her it's very likely we were conceived a couple of weeks apart. She wasn't on any medication or anything. We didn't need to be in the NICU or anything and we are both healthy adults. I now have my own baby, a 7 month old girl. It's the best thing to grow up with an opposite gender twin.
Im a retired nurse and ive never heard of this but im not at all surprised. With the fertility treatments it makes sense. I suppose its a really good thing they were conceived so close together! Congrats!
I went to "that scan" by myself to. I nervously laughed all the way home, my partner was over seas, I had to tell him on cam lol See this one here? and this one here? Twins?!? the look on his face lol Your comment if I wasn't laying down I probably would have fallen down with shock, was exactly how I felt.
I am so intrigued with this Channel!!! My mouth dropped, listening to your story. This is a first for me ever hearing of a situation like this. Cannot wait to follow your journey!!!❤❤❤
Thank you 😀 I’m going to be found a Q&A on this soon. Keep a look out, I’ll be asking for your questions soon on Instagram and on RUclips. Thank you for watching, it’s so worth it when it brightens other people’s day too 🥰
I am currently pregnant. 5.5 weeks today. At 5.1 weeks I started bleeding and went to the hospital. On the ultrasound the foetus they saw seemed unfortunately already gone and measured at 8.5 weeks. They saw another sack behind with just a little blip in it, far from measuring 8.5 weeks. The radiologist advise we wait a week and check again since there could be a second viable foetus, but that it was very unlikely. I am sure I wasn’t pregnant 2 months ago as I had no symptoms and my tests were negative so maybe his measurements are wrong. But if they are not wrong, I really hope that when I go back in 4 days we find out that I got pregnant twice a few weeks apart and that I have a viable 6 week foetus. Your video and some of the comments are giving me a bit of hope.
It was such a roller coaster! The 8.5 “macerated dead foetus” (his exact words) seen by the radiologist was actually a subchorionic hematoma 🙄, and next to it a beautiful foetus with a beating heart. I’m currently 11 weeks 3 days. I had my first official follow-up and we heard the heart with the doppler. What I learned from this experience is the importance to advocate for ourselves. If I hadn’t insisted on waiting to see if the little sac had a foetus I think they might have just suggested a D&C right then and there.
I don't see the issue if the doctor said to wait a week to check again...he didn't do the d and C right there and then as you assumed he might have done.
I took care of infants that were undocumented but definitely were the same. She went in for her scan and she was pregnant with one baby then she went for a second and there was two. One much smaller etc.
I understand you very well. A similar thing happened to me. At six weeks scan (I had to scan early cause I was spotting), no baby was found. Apparently just an empty sac was visible. Then we checked again at week 7 and finally one baby was seen. The doctor wanted to see me again a week later, so at week 8, the doctor also got very concentrated in his scan, not saying a word, until I couldn’t take it anymore and asked him if everything was ok. He stoped, looked at me and told me very surprised: There are two babies! I am sure I only saw one before! In my case, they are identical twins, so maybe the second one was just very well hidden :) when the doctor told me they’re twins, at first I couldn’t believe it, then I just laughed so much! Then all the fears went through me in a vertigo. I was so happy!!! I love having twins :🙂
Interesting life story! Next time at the appointment call your hubby on speaker phone or Facetime him. This way he can see and hear it.. God Bless you and your beautiful family.
When l was at university in the early 70’s, one of my friends in nursing invited me to go to a lecture with her. The gynaecologist giving the lecture was fascinating and had been in practice for many years. At that time he had delivered 23 virgins in 25 years; he also spoke of a very similar circumstance where a woman could have a double uterus and 2 pregnancies with different conception dates. He didn’t give any further details but opened my mind to many differences we have in our world and an appreciation of all life. He was a remarkable doctor and an excellent speaker. It is my understanding that he left this world some time ago, but left a lasting impact on many of us as students, patients and as women. Wishing you all the best in your parenting journey.
12:41 I hadn’t ever heard of this until about 3 weeks ago and I am 43. I’ve had 6 children. I’m but oblivious to pregnancy topics and yet never heard this! It’s got to be the greatest miracle EVER!
I dod not know that was possible. Wow. It made me wonder if that could happen where the babies were so far apart only 1 could be delivered and one needed to stay in longer? Did they hit their baby nilestines together or seperatly.( teeth, crawling, walking)?
be safe after for 3 to 6 months after your Pregnancy also its vary vary easy to get pregnant again we had are 2nd planed kiddo needless to say 33days later the wife got pregnant again but with twins needs less to say it was crazy around here for about 4 years we had a 2yr old, 10m old and 2 newborns lol crazy it was ,but there all in there upper 20's now you'll be fine. thanks for sharing
There was a woman in the USA this happened. She had a double uterus. Her twins were a month apart in gestation age. One came home when he was 2 weeks old. The other stayed in another 6 weeks, I think. It was last year. If you do a search here, you should find it as I saw it here on RUclips.
I was conceived about 4 weeks after my brother, so we were born as twins. I was born at the end of the 50's so there were no scans then. My mother didn't know I was there until my brother was delivered then on inspection, I appeared. I was in an incubator to start with but it didn't affect me later. The only difference is most of my family are six footers and I am 5'4".
First, congratulations and second, when you said you're close to 40, my thought was you are beautiful. As this is some 3 years later, you are doing something right and may look into producing a product and training site for others because I'm pretty sure there are probably quite a few people out there that would love to know your secret.Cheers.
My mother did this but when she got pregnant for the second one the first one was already gone and she had to get a curetage and that is when they tol;d her she still had a live baby in there. She was in the hospital for some time! It is not common but it happens. So glad to hear your are all OK!! CONGRATULATIONS!! My brother is now 68 years old. Greetings from Canada.
I had an by myself because of lockdowns too and the ultrasound technician was quiet too. They thought there was something wrong with his brain. He actually came out perfect, he’s a happy, healthy little 2 and a half year old now. I also dreamed about it too, and that was when I got my first positive pregnancy test (a couple of weeks after I tested without any indication).
Same thing happened to me. At birth, my babies were in different stages of development. One weighted 8 pounds 4 oz, the other one 5 pounds 4 oz. Luckily, they were both healthy.
Hey everyone, here's my story...
Probably one of the most shocking pregnancy stories you will ever hear!
Make sure you watch till the end.
Thank you for watching, I'll see you in the next video.

hidden twin surprise ultrasound twin pregnancy
The 1st case of superfundication was in Genesis: Cain and Abel. Pretty eye opening and cool, but need to read with a concordance for the original translation.
Wow, I have never heard of this happening before!
Look up the Murray Povich show in America, the episodes where (3 different episodes) where women found out that their twins had different fathers lol
Happened to my aunt 30 years ago when taking fertility drugs. More than a month apart in gestation.
Wish you had a picture! God Bless you

I used to babysit for a neighbor who had a set of twins who had two different fathers!
TWO fathers!

So sorry you lost two babies 😟 How old were you when you were pregnant and had your newborn? I had twins four days before my 48th birthday. 😊😊😊
Wow Linda that’s amazing 🥰
I’m sorry to hear you lost your babies 😔 ah 4.5 lbs is diddy, thank you for sharing x

But I thought you couldn’t get pregnant after menapause actually going 12 mos without a period.
❤ May God Bless You and Your Family! May He comfort your family. ❤
A true Miracle and blessing
I’m in the US and I was a nurse back in the late 70s and working in the newborn nursery in the local hospital. We had a set of twins born that were boys and one was much smaller than the other and actually looked premature. The conclusion the doctors came to was that the smaller baby was conceived about 4 weeks after the other bigger twin. I think back then they didn’t document those things but it did happen.
This is amazing, I love hearing about other cases. Thanks for your comment. All children are a blessing 🥰
@@RebeccaRobertsSupertwins Yes, every baby is a blessing no matter their imperfections, disabilities etc! I love them all! God loves them all and He doesn’t make mistakes!

I agree!!!! Children are all a blessing. 🥰
My cousins both boys born in the 70s.... Kansas they were in the newspaper. Their story is amazing how they were conceived.
@tammyfanning7338 Do tell, I would love to hear !
I had a double uterus.. had one baby in each side and 3 weeks apart in gestation.
Oh I think your mom also commented
"Well, you can't get any more pregnant..."
"Actually..."
Wow!! Great job mama!👏👏❤
@@papuche6908 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you
That’s amazing!
15?, so young, can’t imagine it
Did they not hear 2 heartbeats🤔
Hubby and I have twins that are almost 30 years old. It was a high risk pregnancy, so I had sonogram pretty often. Throughout the pregnancy, I had two different due dates. They were conceived 4 days apart. They had two different due dates. So yes, we conceived and then 4 days later, conceived again!
Interesting....but do babies conceived on the same day even hv the same weights or grow at the same rate when still in the womb......coz I'm thinking how to they see a 4 day difference
How can that be known?
@@dzidzisoamandakatanda1916 if there was an early scan (6ish weeks) it's actually pretty obvious. They grow SUPER fast at that stage, and the difference of a half of a week is crazy. I had back to back early miscarriages and so I was monitored very carefully in the early part of my subsequent pregnancies and got to see the difference =)
This is WILD! Scientifically amazing! ❤ Congrats 🎉!
@@Pkeats817One child will be behind the other one in development.
I’m so sorry to hear that 🙏🏻
I'm so sorry that happened to your mum. I wish you had been able to be with her when she died, to comfort and connect with her. ❤
Barbaric!
This is horrific I’m so sorry she had to go through that x
My mother died alone in another continent and I couldn’t visit her in her final days. March 2020
She has a horrible mother and it has been a very difficult journey.
It was your high five, for sure ❤
🙏🙏There you go! One for each baby!
👏 I will virtual high-five you!
You did the heavy lifting!
Same thing happened with my twins my son was older but younger all at the same time lol
My step sons were conceived about three weeks apart back in 1960, naturally.
@lisavyles4888
Hmmm really?
My step sons were conceived about three weeks apart back in 1960.
Wow! That was not “something” that was God leading them to find you. You are not a mistake. You are a major miracle!

10 WEEKS?!?! 😮😮
Wow it does happen. 😂😂😂😂
I know of a woman who naturally got pregnant with triplets. All girls. The first one came out in the first trimester and didn't make it. The second one born around 32 weeks and, the last one born at 35 weeks. Now her twins have different birthdays
I had boy-girl twins, and when they were born, my doctor said my son looked full-term, but my daughter looked 3 weeks premature! So crazy!!
It's so kind of you to share your story for other people so they don't come to the internet with nothing to read, like you did!
This! Mine were a week apart in age- natural conception
So it can happen to anyone it’s just “if”
This happened to my best friend in 1975 before they could do scans.

This is really interesting! I'd never heard of this before. And yes, I googled superfetation twins and you were the first picture to come up 😂
Superfetation is totally cool! On good days I’m a miracle, on bad days I’m a freak of nature!! lol. I was conceived 9 weeks after my twin brother!!
I feel like the part of your pregnancy you withheld may be important for the next woman looking for information about this.
I do hope you'll find the strength to share it wherever you're ready.
Hi, thank you for watching 🙂
@RebeccaRobertsSupertwins Yes, please share if and when you feel able to, it would be great for women going through similar experiences.
Wow this is so amazing for real never heard of this before congratulations
I actually have heard of this before. Lovely story❤
You should’ve been on the phone with Reese while you were being examined. So fun🥰
It was a routine scan and they were never expecting something like this! A phone call at the time probably never crossed their minds
One day they will learn how special they really are 🥰
Nice to see your name pop-up.
I was blessed
What an amazing story.. Thank you for sharing… I couldn’t imagine the shock, blessing and excitement you must of felt ❤❤
That's mind-blowing. I always heard in school that once a woman gets pregnant her hormone level changes in such a way to prevent an egg to be produced and fertilized during pregnancy.
What an amazing story it's a miracle your family are blessed 🤗🫶🙏🏴
Thank you so much 🥰
Congratulations!!!
We NEED more babies in the world. I'm not joking.
Well then, you better get busy, Susan. #preggers #doityourself
@@MarianDouglasUngaro😂😂😂😂
Yes we do
I remember you being in my “due date” Facebook group when pregnant! Your video just randomly came up on my RUclips page. So nice to hear your story again! ❤
Hiya, wow that’s so weird. Can you believe they are nearly 4 now?! How are your babies? Or baby? I’m not if it’s the twin group x
@@RebeccaRobertsSupertwins My baby is great thank you. He’s my middle child now & definitely lives up to the title 🙈
This happened in me twice! I was 13 days pregnant with my daughter when I became pregnant with her sister and the second pregnancy they said I was 7 days pregnant when I got the second boy . At birth each pregnancy was 37 weeks and baby a was 7lbs and baby b was 5lbs
Wow. I wonder if some women are more apt to conceive while already pregnant. Very interesting that this happens.
It's happened to me. Mine were 2 weeks apart. Same womb. But unfortunately one didn't make it past 7 weeks. But I have at least one healthy baby.
Hello and I am so excited for you and Love to know more about your amazing pregnancy. Praying for you and Love.
Thank you so much! ☺️
Dang, didn't know a double pregnancy (not twins) was possible! Cool
X-rays were considered
Dangerous back then, but I was sent for one, and they insisted it was twins. Glad you already had had one, so had an idea
About caring for babies….how lovely you had a boy and a girl!
Much love ❤
Thank you for sharing- so interesting- and very exciting
I had no idea this could be a thing!
This is a fabulous story, and congratulations on the birth of Big Brother Noah and his Little Sister Rosalie! Because they were conceived at different times, they share a birthday and a uterus. So, I guess that is considered twins. Although what they should be more accurately described as “wombmates!” ☺️
What a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey ❤❤❤ I can’t wait to see more ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This happened to a friend several years ago. They were born as "twins" even though they were a conceived a month apart. Mother was on hormones and continued them since she didn't know she was pregnant. The 2nd child had some issues in life since he was born a month early- but received lot of therapies and help.
Great story!!!!
Thank you very much 🫶🏻
My Husband is the second baby of fraternal twins.
I mean it is not uncommon for ovulation cramping to occur twice so it is possible it just never naturally occurs to a person's mind
They call them twins now even if they were born from a mother with 2 uterus ❤❤fyi
Wow, I have never heard that this could happen. I am so happy you and the baby's are doing good. God Bless you and your family.
such a cool & unique story!!😁💜 could u not have video chatted with him for your appointment due to not being able to physically be in the room with u? legit curious:)
Multiple friends of mine also had babies during pandemic lockdown rules and they were not allowed to call or video chat with their partners unfortunately.
The most beautiful english (language, way of talking, diction) I ever heard.
My mom did as well…but she gave full term to brother and 5 month old girl too soon! This was the mid sixties. 1964 to be exact
I've also had twins.. My 1st pregnancy.. Congratulations
Congratulations on your double blessing ❤
Thank you!!🥰
I am 36 years old and I have a twin brother.
Congrats!
Congratulation! I for one are happy that you really enjoy the spotlight. I would have never heard of this staggered twin conception.
Thank you for sharing your story, so beautiful and inspiring.
Wow! Amazing story ❤
Wow, that was interesting. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Mine are now 21. The younger one will be reminded they are younger, by the older one. Mine still do at 21
I am so intrigued with this Channel!!!
Thank you for watching, it’s so worth it when it brightens other people’s day too 🥰
Wow, amazing, congratulations 🎉 I enjoyed your story, thanx for sharing, may God continue to bless your journey 🙏😊🌸
What happened? Hope you are still pregnant. ❤
Wonderful news, well done for giving your little baby a voice 🥰xx
Noah will always be able to call his twin his little sister! Fun!
I took care of infants that were undocumented but definitely were the same. She went in for her scan and she was pregnant with one baby then she went for a second and there was two. One much smaller etc.
I'm currently on hormone therapy and hoping for a positive test result this month, amazing story, thank you for sharing
Hi Louise, I wish you so much success, please keep me updated xx
Thank you so much, will do just that, hoping for my own little miracle
Such a wonderful story, Rebecca! You are so blessed! Thank you for sharing your joy. ❤
23 virgins? It's a miracle!
@@lucyrobin1520- I'm trying to figure out what kind of typo that was.
I meant in the hospital. They were still born the same time. the younger gestation baby has to stay in the hospital longer.
Congratulations on your twins. My mum had non identical twins they were born on different days!! One just before midnight and one just after.😊
I was conceived about 4 weeks after my brother, so we were born as twins. I was born at the end of the 50's so there were no scans then. My mother didn't know I was there until my brother was delivered then on inspection, I appeared. I was in an incubator to start with but it didn't affect me later. The only difference is most of my family are six footers and I am 5'4".
Interesting story. Thanks for sharing your surprise birth!
How incredible. Love your daughter's name btw 😀💖
Thank you Rosalie 😀
First, congratulations and second, when you said you're close to 40, my thought was you are beautiful. As this is some 3 years later, you are doing something right and may look into producing a product and training site for others because I'm pretty sure there are probably quite a few people out there that would love to know your secret.Cheers.
I thought the same.
That sounds like my twin sister and me. 38 years ago, I don't think doctors recognized this.
What a wonder ful double blessing for you and your family. ❤💖
Same thing happened to me. At birth, my babies were in different stages of development. One weighted 8 pounds 4 oz, the other one 5 pounds 4 oz. Luckily, they were both healthy.
