@@perejet once you marry into another culture, and produce offspring together, they are neither one nor the other. They belong to both cultures, and their names should reflect both cultures. Period. There is no dominant culture over the other. Is he trying to erase the Korean part of her? Then he should have stayed in Nigeria and married a Nigerian. Multi cultural is a beautiful thing. We are all one on God’s big Earth.
@@51me36 it's also right to think like u do, however, it's not about whose culture is superior, once an Africa man traveled that far to marry the best thing to do is to name his kids an African names because it psychologically give that kids that sense of awareness of where there root is from, for the Korean part they are born, raise and school there and only exposed to the Korean culture the only way u can quickly remind them of their roots is by giving them African names.
@@perejet I agree with most of what you said, but I still think that he should have allowed for both names. Maybe let her first name be Nigerian and the middle name Korean perhaps?
We lived in Korea for 5 years…& ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! ❤ z🥰🤗✨Never a rude or negative experience…there are nutty people everywhere. I’m very fond of the culture 🎉❤😊
It’s actually a pretty common mix in term of half black and half Korean mix. There are two famous models who are both half Korean and half Nigerian. One is called Jenny Park and the other is Hyun Min Han. There are also some famous celebrities and reality stars out there who are fully Nigerian.
Gina - You are special! You are a beautiful lady who speaks the Igbo language well. I am an older Igbo woman, resident in Britain for decades. I grew up in Yoruba land so understand and can speak Yoruba better than my own mother tongue Igbo. I speak English and Yoruba better. I love everything Korean that we have here in Britain - their Films etc. I have always wanted to visit South Korea so this was interesting to watch. ❤ We Nigerians are everywhere - literally - every corner of the world. I am shocked that mixed kids over there take their Korean surname. "Your name is too long!" and they didn't hire her at a Burger Restaurant - that is serious 'R' word and unfair! He just did not want to hire her, and that makes me sad. The irony is if I'd seen Gina on the street, there is no way I would have thought she is mixed. She does not look mixed at all. Over here in Britain Gina looks Asian (Korean etc). Gina looks exactly like my Chinese Malaysian friend here in the UK who is a Staff Nurse. They could pass for sisters. it is sad, she faces the 'R' word there in Korea. So sad! Because outside Korea she does not look mixed! God bless all of you in Yeshua's Mighty Name. Amen. As for swallowing food (Pounded Yam, Amala, Garri etc), which is literally called 'swallow' - I have never swallowed and I am in my 60s and still chew. I have chewed since I was a child. It tastes better actually. I love Gina's personality. I enjoyed this Interview. I had never seen your Podcast, but I was drawn to the Title. you have got yourself a subscriber. I sincerely hope that your guest "Proudly Nigerian" daddy will ALLOW her to also.have a Korean name as an identity of her mother's root; at least, for future reference sake. Yes o! I will surely shear this classic video of yours.
Even me wey no be Igbo, i sabi "mechi onu" 😂

I love your show,Vickky. I love what you do. I love this interview with Ozioma. You make us proud. May you be blessed exceedingly!
The video IS "top notch".
And Ozioma is indeed special: Here easy laughter is most likely her gift from Africa.
Koreans are fine people; but they are inclined to being overly regimented.
Africans on the other hand are more revealing of the real human spirit.
Interview her more I love watching her she so calm and dramatic love the way she talks . She also brilliant all the Igbo pronunciation is good 👍 she is good ozioma good news .. gospel means the same as oziomachukwu .. I love her ❤ 😍
For someone born and raised in Korea her English accent is flawless and sounds very American
Okay, seems to be because she went to international school
@@LadidaShawexactly
What do you mean by flawless?? Which is not flawless
Sounds self harm.
Said she went to an International school, I guess that explains the flawless English
Wow I love this. I like the host and Ozioma so much. Nice meeting you here❤❤❤

Ozioma is a lovely and cheerful person❤️🎉I would love to be her friend to share more about Nigeria, our culture and society. She would love Nigeria 🇳🇬 more if she gets to know more about the country. She feels more Korean because that is the society she has grown up in.
I love her father he is very original Nigerian it's a good thing he protected his Nigerian heritage by given Gina n her siblings all Nigerian names and telling them they will move to Nigeria

I really enjoy the video, her experience as a mix is so captivating. She so lovable ❤
Wow first time I have seen a Korean Nigerian. My niece from the UK is Seoul right now😊. She loves SK.
It’s actually a pretty common mix in term of half black and half Korean mix. There are two famous models who are both half Korean and half Nigerian. One is called Jenny Park and the other is Hyun Min Han.
There are also some famous celebrities and reality stars out there who are fully Nigerian.
Nice video. Ozioma you're special. Love your bubbling life, don't let anyone, even Korean, dim your light. Shine bright dear.
Her Igbo is so beautiful 🤭😂
I enjoyed the video & questions asked. I like her heart, honesty & joyful spirit! ❤❤
We Nigerians are everywhere - literally - every corner of the world.
I hope we see more of Gina.
I cannot cope with braids - sorry. As a child I had braids or straightened hair. The last time I had braids was in the 1980s. Sitting for hours....No thank you!🤣
