Great shooting! I love it when the sleeper wins the race, or in this case at least, makes the big dogs wonder what the heck just happened. LOL I've got a CZ 455 and the Savage HB MK II. The Savage has nothing to be ashamed of, an absolute bargain.
I shot my first match last weekend with a mk2. Wasn’t the only one running one and they all held their own against the Anschutz’s and custom 10/22’s. Pretty great way to get your foot in the door for not a lot of money without feeling like the rifle is what’s holding you back.
I have the same rifle still in the plastic junk stock but I put a cheap kydex cheek riser on it and a egw 20 moa rail with a riton x3 6x24x50 and its probably the most accurate 22 rifle I've ever had. I shoot cci sv and it is spot on at 50yds. Mainly decided to do this for a squirrel hunting rifle but im getting more and more interested in the bench shooting.
Ha ha you'd be surprised how well it would do if you found an ammo that it really liked. I had a couple guys shoot just factory 10/22s when we first started doing these and for what the rifle was, they didn't do bad.
your Ruger 10/22 might shoot better than you think here's what I did with mine I cleaned it really well took apart the action cleaned everything lubed it but not over lube then put your front barrel strap at 8 to 10 inch pounds back bottom action screw at 10 in pounds test whatever loads you can find take the one that shot the best and on your rear action screw go 10 in lbs 12-in pounds 14 inch pounds 16 inch pounds I took mine up to about 25 it liked 15 my groups shrunk considerably doing that torque test now shoots half inch at 50 yards and mine I found Eliy club and aguila super extra shot the best but that Ely club doesn't cycle all the time yeah I don't know how to spell it LOL
I have been shooting cci suppressor HP 970 FPS in mine and does really well. Still flyers in there. I've shot eley club and match and they are not consistent. Shot 5 SK Match 22lr the other day, 4 hole for hole with 1 flyer. I'm gonna try and get some more SK MATCH and really give it a try. SAVAGE MARK II FV, synthetic original stock. UTG BIPOD, TRIGGER ADJUSTED TO THE MINIMUM IT GOES. 8X32X44 TASCO WORLD CLASS SCOPE
Savage is hard to beat! Low cost with high accuracy and reliable functionality! If you want a deal on some wolf match Axxoman( substitute m for the x’s ) has bricks priced at $57 free shipping. I just bought a bunch, same price as Cci sv better quality ammo.
Absolutely the best bang for your Buck .22 rifle. Performed better than my buddy’s CZ 457 and Ruger precision. Not bad for a $250 rifle! His Vudoo did do better but that’s a $2000 piece.
I agree, Ive competed on a number of occasions right in line with rifles that cost 2 to 3 times as much as I have in my gun. Not sure if I got a unicorn but as long as I keep feeding it the Lapua+ ammo its keeps performing. Thanks for watching!
Button rifling in the Savages is tyoically pretty good. I have more exspensive guns but my Savage constantly makes me think I could have just stayed with it but I became a collector anyways. They have a milsurp feel to them that I also dig. Onve upon a time they also imported Annies.
Incredible accuracy for the $. $200 Vs the $620 cz457 Boyd’s AT one (factory setup actually using SK rifle match ammo)….I’d buy the Savage! Good times and great shoot! Tks Steve! Btw, I’d give ya $220 for it! 😎
Ill be honest Im not sure. I really dont think the rifle would gain from anything else being done to it. I think at this point it really is up to the shooter (me) to take advantage of what the rifle is capable of.. Thanks for watching!
I no longer have the B22 but no it would not. Im not sure why this rifle shoots as good as it does, but it does. Ive won 2 shoots with this rifle shooting that Lapua Midas +. Its definitely one that i got lucky to find. Thanks for watching..
@streettuff2623 Dont get me wrong the B22 is a sweet rig. But for the price of this rifle and matching it with right load it makes for a heck of a rig..
Screws are very nice. No stripping of any kind. No the stock is not pillar bedded. The action screws pull against the trigger guard and metal mag well. Thanks for watching!
I subbed but I can't bring ya over the top alone. Just picked up a Mark II in the Minimalist version. I'll see how it compares to my CZ457, Tika T1X and others. You seem to steer away from giving any credit to the scope. Does it double the price of the rig?
Hey thanks for the support! Well a scope is definitely a help, this one is in the sub $400 dollar range. You could for sure go a little cheaper and get great results. This is just the scope I had on hand. it shot so well with it I just never took it back off for something else.
Great shooting!

Totally agree, I appreciate ya watching!
This just goes to show, you don't need to break the bank to be competitive !!
Great shooting.....congrats on the second-place finish
Totally agree... Thanks for watching!

Heck yeah sounds like you got a shooter buddy!
Getting the Savage Mark 2 fv-sr
You get every penny's worth with the savage mark II. Great rifle for the money.
Indeed, very true!
Great shooting those savage rifles our great gun can’t beat them
Looks like fun, need to get me some of those targets. But my factory stock 10/22 is nowhere near this accurate lol.
Ha ha you'd be surprised how well it would do if you found an ammo that it really liked. I had a couple guys shoot just factory 10/22s when we first started doing these and for what the rifle was, they didn't do bad.

Great series and rifle, the shooter wasn't bad either!
Ha ha Thanks buddy!

Good deal, thanks for the heads up!

They sure seem to just get the job done. Thanks for watching!
cci standard is 4.99 here in oklahoma at big box stores
Same here in Indiana.. Good stuff for the money as compared to other loads for the same price anyway. Thanks for watching..

Always a good time having ya out! Looking forward to the 200yrd shoot!
Good job my friend, Are you going to make any other improvements to the rifle
Ill be honest Im not sure. I really dont think the rifle would gain from anything else being done to it. I think at this point it really is up to the shooter (me) to take advantage of what the rifle is capable of.. Thanks for watching!
What zoom magnification did you shoot the competition on? Nicely done!
24x, thanks for watching!!
She's a shooter alright .... Well done & excellent shooting on your part.
Thanks buddy!
Will your B22 precision hang with this rig you printed these targets with? Thanks
I no longer have the B22 but no it would not. Im not sure why this rifle shoots as good as it does, but it does. Ive won 2 shoots with this rifle shooting that Lapua Midas +. Its definitely one that i got lucky to find. Thanks for watching..
@@TheHide thanks, 3 hours ago I was hell bent on picking up a B22 precision, not so sure now.

Accuracy has never been my beef with the MkII’s - It’s all the feeding/magazine issues.
No argument there, Thanks for watching!
I had the same issue but I greased the hell out of it and now I haven't had a single issue
Yessah !! Congrats man.
Thanks buddy.
Need to know what objective size and what height ringss
Nice rifle & congratulations on your performance! At what distance are these targets shot at? I’ll be looking up the other vids on this rifle.
This is 50yrd benchrest. Thanks I appreciate ya watching!
good shooting, what is the quality of the action screws? Is the boyds stock pillared?
Screws are very nice. No stripping of any kind. No the stock is not pillar bedded. The action screws pull against the trigger guard and metal mag well. Thanks for watching!
What optic are you using?
Thank you for video.
Thanks for watching
