Vertuccis Classification of Root Canal Anatomy

In this Lecture I have explained about Vertucci's Classification of Root Canal Anatomy
Vertuccis have classified Root canal system in 8 types
Type 1 is represented as 1
Type 2 is represented as 2-1
Type 3 is represented as 1- 2-1
Type 4 is represented as 2
Type 5 is represented as 1-2
Type 6 is represented as 2-1-2
Type 7 is represented as 1-2-1-2
Type 8 is represented as 3
among these 8 types ....
first 3 types exits the root as a single canal
next 4 types i.e type 4,5,6 and 7 exit the root as 2 canals..
and last one type 8 exit the root as 3. canals..

Good question Aswathy..
Both r relavent..
The only difference is Wein has given only four type like 1, 2-1,2 and 1-2...where vertuccis has given 8 types..which also include above four ..
Other than this four.. vertuccis has observed 4 more types of canal configuration like 1-2-1 ,2-1-2,1-2-1-2and 3
