Words I will NEVER abide to on any boat is 'Go back to your cabin.' Aka. 'Go to your enclosed, lop‐sided, sinking metal grave.'

How about: "I wouldn't worry, we just stopped for the night." RMS Titanic, April 15, 1912.

@@CrankyBeach This is SOP across the board in high rises. The same instructions were given to the residents in 2017's (UK) Grenfell Tower high rise fire in which 75 lives were lost.
I've read the literature as to why this is what authorities direct people to do but it's not written in stone either and when I hear the alarm sound, I'm LEAVING!

    Largest? Larger maybe.
Luxurious? Costa is a budget cruise line. Hardly the definition of luxury.

It's amazing a solution to launching lifeboats from a listing ship still hasn't been engineered. Basically every big 20th century sinking with the exception of the Titanic has suffered from this issue. Who cares if you have enough boats for everyone if half of them are rendered useless almost immediately?

Does anyone know when part 2 is going to be posted?

I believe the second part is listed in the menu "Captain's Fatal Error/CC..." I haven't watched it yet but I presume it's part 2.

Did the one lady really suggest that someone was able to get to the morgue and get coffins to use as flotation but could not get to a life jacket!? Really?

    • @isabellind1292
      @isabellind1292 2 дня назад

I don't know but one elderly woman had some nerve to tell rescuers if they wouldn't allow her to bring her bag, they could leave her behind. I'd have suggested she hold onto her bag to use as a flotation device whenever she decided to leave the ship.

For reference, the Titanic was 92 feet wide. The Costa Concordia was 118 feet wide and 68 feet longer than Titanic.

Bad and irresponsible captain should be immediately replaced with someone who is more intelligent and responsible for helping others.

Replaced? They sent him to prison for nearly 20 years.
      10 years for manslaughter
5 years for causing the shipwreck
1 year for abandoning the ship before passengers and crew were clear
1 month for lying to the authorities afterwards😂.

Woman: "When I saw the ship, I couldn't believe how large and massive it was" It was so large, you couldn't imagine something so large floating in the sea" Quite the rocket scientist, that one. You didn't HAVE to "imagine" anything. You were on it for crying out loud.

Costa Concordia largest ships ever built? Most luxurious? Hardly.
Costa ships were at best, C-rank compared to the vast Cruise ship titans of Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian cruise line's vast ships.
They describe the ship as a wonder, with even a full sized casino on board.........honey darling, EVERY major cruise ship has those amenities!
