  • How much extra power does it take to overclock an S19J Pro?
    How many amps and watts does it use to overclock your ASIC miner..
    What Mining Pool Do I Use? pool.lincoin.com/user/login?r...
    I took the asic.to overclocking firmware to the limit with my S19 J Pro 104TH to find out.
    Ive been testing different immersion cooling setups for my bitcoin miners for months now, and Ive finally landed on a test kit.
    I was able to get this machine running stable at 130TH with no hardware errors and no rejected shares and temps in the low 70° C using bitcool from engineeredfluids.com.

    dude im so happy you are doing vids on this...im a gpu miner and run about 140 5700xt and 3000 series nvidia gpus and am looking to make the switch to some asics. im always about finding the most efficient settings for any hardware to mine. but there are people out there that dont pay anything or next to nothing for power so i definitely see the want to go higher hash at lower efficiency. thanks so much for this!

    Dude, nice video. One question. Immersion cooling and the fans of PSU. Do the fans on PSU have an issue by running in oil? Due to density difference between air and oil?
    Will those fans in oils not get demaged?
    Thx Peter

    • @SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE
      @SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE  2 года назад +1

      You CAN take them off, but no they won’t get damaged. The oil lubricates them well and they run slowly in the oil..
      Basically they have whatever voltage applied to them and that causes them to spin so with the resistance of the oil they simply spin slower, they don’t work harder- if that makes sense.

      @@KeepeRArg every individual miner will have different ideal settings. The chips that make these things are sort of a ‘lottery.’ Sounds like you got a really nice set of chips!!!
      If it’s stable, you’re doing it right. That’s the whole point of all these firmwares starting to ‘autotune.’ They will find the best frequency for each set of chips in your miner and tune them individually (in sets of three).
      If you go to asic.to you can try out their newest firmware that has autotune now.

    • @SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE
      @SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE  2 года назад

      Well I started with a car radiator, which seemed to do well, but I wanted to overclock super hard, so I moved up to this heat exchanger (which really is no different from a truck radiator, just thicker, more tubes inside) and I was experimenting with a plate heat exchanger to heat the pool with. But it turned out I used the wrong heat exchanger, and the pool water was going to destroy it, so since I already had that second loop built, I just put another radiator on it and now it’s now.

    • @teaganconnor8192
      @teaganconnor8192 2 года назад

      @@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE gotcha, the main reason why i was wondering about using a truck radiator is because they have the built in fans, which seem like they would do a very good job at cooling the radiator, though given, i am not sure if they are designed to run 24/7, as i noticed the motors getting very hot when running at full speed

    Remove the casing of PSU and especially casing of miner. Find a way to support boards in your SLIC so that u also remove that bottom plate. This will increase flow thru boards, thus better cool.

    • @SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE
      @SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE  2 года назад

      Ive thought about this, but the case is what directs the flow right next to the hash boards.. like a tunnel.

    • @almaguapa-sailboatliveaboa440
      @almaguapa-sailboatliveaboa440 2 года назад +1

      @@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE The flow is mostly lead by the pump pushing the cooled liquid at bottom. Thru convection the hot liquid, having less density, floats over the cold. By keeping the casing, the hot liquid has no possibility of being replaced by cooler liquid because its trapped inside by the case. Right from bottom in contact with board the liquid gets hot and travels “hot” all the way up inside casing because it can’t be replaced by cooler liquid found in its surrounding. It’s indeed a minor improvement but it’ll be more distributed cooling.

      @@mohammadomar5749 you can mod it yourself for couple of bucks in resistor parts or pay some company like 500$ to do it tho or buy one modded for like 900$. I believe our friend at space design warehouse, is going to show us all how to do it sometime though so i would hold off doing anything for now.

    Great video but have you seen the video that shows the quick mod you can do to the power supply to provide your miner more power? As I recall it was a matter of soldering in 4 tiny resisters. I look forward to you making this mod and running you machine even faster.
    See ruclips.net/video/kZt_ejnZKP4/видео.html I had another video but can't find it now.
    This link suggests you can remove the fans in the PSU but you will have to review to make sure.
    Next tweak, is adding refrigeration to your cooling loop. If you cool it enough, i.e. down 5-10C you should save on watts used and partially reduce the increase in power used due to overclocking. I bet you can get to 160 plus THs at less than 5,400 Watts!
    I look forward to that video.
    Thanks of all the great videos/work.

      @@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE please check the comments in the RUclips video showing how to mod. The guy behind the over locking firmware “asic to the moon” I think his name is Marc. Mention that he is working on new firmware and new resistor hack for 10kW!! The one shown in the video is an old hack and from my understanding from his comment that’s it’s not recommended because of the actual firmware. So maybe you could talk to asic to the moon and be beta tester and let us know. 👊

      There’s no slider for watts. More volts = more watts. And you are correct, you need to do the mod to get more volts.

    • @bigtymer4862
      @bigtymer4862 2 года назад +2

      Well there’s additional drag aka a small amount of resistance in the bitcool fluid, compared to those fans spinning in the air. That resistance will burn out your psu fans eventually.
