I always feel insanely motivated after watching your videos!I graduate esthe school in about a month and im so excited to enter this industry. thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I’ve thought about doing esthi school and I’m still thinking about it, it’s not in my path right now but hopefully in the future but hearing you say you’re shy gives me so much more confidence in going into it bc there’s such a stigma that you have to be outgoing and extroverted and I’m reallly not but I really want to do it but hearing you say you’re shy really helps me and makes me more excited bc now I know I can do it and will thrive bc you are
I’m starting esthetician school next month and I could not be more excited, it’s been a dream of mine for years!:) your my fav esthetician you tuber to watch- so so helpful!❤️
Great timing on this video!! I’m 3 weeks into Esti school and have learned so much already! I’ll be graduating in November but good to know what’s it’s like out there especially now with how things are changing and affecting the esthetician work environment. I’m loving the spa facial treatments & Dermaplanning! I also love doing bridal Makeup so I’d really love to eventually have a bridal boutique for preparing brides skin with treatments and making it look beautiful for the day of makeup application on their Special day! ❤️
Graduating in a month from esty school! Your video came at a perfect timing ♥️ also- one of my workbook questions was asking who some of my role models were and your name came up immediately! Thanks for what you do and being who you are, Tess!
Thanks for posting this video. I'm going to a School tour next Thursday for the esthetician program. I was a little worried how covid-19 would affect my experience going to school and after getting a job. The way you said to get a job is a great technique. We sometimes forget just because everything is online we still could go back to the old way of contacting companies over the phone or even walk in. It gives me more confidence that I'll be able to land a job. This being especially becausee I waited until my thirties to change my career. I'm going to make my list now and set some skin care appointment's for myself up.
Very helpful video. I just graduated Cosmetology school recently and have the experience of working for myself doing some beauty work on the side. I. love how flexible my schedule can be but at the same time I want more stability in my life and be able to grow my skills at the same time. I am struggling a bit for *wanting* to work for someone else when you know you have a taste of being your own boss (if ya know what I mean). But just like how you said, it takes patience and there is a lot of value for working for somebody else.
I graduate at the end of this month and have felt unmotivated ever since covid happened but your videos have restarted that fire in me! I’m definitely going to use these tips! 💛
Thank you for your videos! They are very insightful and inspiring! I've had to postpone my esthetician school because of covid. I didn't want to do online classes, so I'm waiting to start back school in August. Anyways you're great and thanks for all the inspiration!!! 💖
shettle ulstein thank you so much. Everyone has to find what makes them comfortable and motivated!! I applaud you for making a choice that involves a little patience but that you feel good about. 😘
Don’t give up! Try cold emailing or using resources from your school/ asking teachers. My advanced esthetics school also sends out job postings (concepts institute)
I just graduated with an esthetics license in the time of covid and jobs are scarce which SUCKS! lol but I am hopeful and positive that the right opportunity will reach me. Looking forward to listening to some of your advice on how to make it as an esthetician! Thank you for your knowledge! Peace and love
I have 3 more months before I graduate! I just found your channel and absolutely love your content! New Sub here and thank you so much for all the gems you give us !! 🥰
I was supposed to start school the week the quarantine started...we were delayed one week and went to distance learning. We finished all of the book work 2 weeks ago and have been working on prosperU, and state licensing guidelines. We were literally just about to go back to school this week, and NY delayed us again. After this week we will be going on a leave of absence, until further notice 🤷🏼♀️ I applied for school over a year ago, I couldn’t have even imagined going through this but it’s a wild ride.
Hi! I just see your videos and it’s really helpful and inspiring!!!😍😍I’m saving money to enroll for esthetician in January because I can’t get financial aids, but I’m worry if I can’t get a job with language barrier :(
Tess Zolly It’s what I have to do lol. I hate that I have zero hands on. No clients, we can’t work on each other. It’s definitely tough. I’ll learn more once I get a job but I’m worried I won’t get hired because I have zero hands on. I’m nervous
3 years later and I’m so thankful this is still up I love and appreciate YOU!

Liliya Odarchuk salicylic acid toner, chemical peels, extractions and good cleansing!!
Starting school on the 13th!!
The Oracle of Chaos ahhh so excited for you babe
I’m starting on the 13th as well! Where are you going to school?
Rachel Dahl it’s a small school in Louisiana!
The Oracle of Chaos, I’m attending school in Minnesota. Good luck!
Rachel Dahl same to you!!
So helpful
Thank you so much for watching!
I’m about to graduate in a week and this girl I met told me she has had her license for 4 years and never got a job 💀
That could def be possible! Getting your first job is the hardest bc employers usually prefer some experience, plus a recession….
