I loved Tobey recapping his experiences in No Way Home. He is 100% right: the gunman dying never made coping with Uncle Ben's death any better. But it was thanks to his words: "With great power, comes great responsibility." that he understands his destiny to be Spider-Man. The same thing of the desire for revenge can also apply to Sandman in Spider-Man 3, which is only fitting given how Flint Marko was Uncle Ben's actual killer. Granted, Tobey was under the influence of the symbiote, but Aunt May's words about how revenge can turn you into something ugly is absolutely true. I'm glad that Tobey was able to grow from both of his experiences with Dennis Carradine and Sandman, especially since the latter only wanted to cure his daughter from her illness, and he expressed deep regrets for his part in Ben's death. Tobey forgives Flint and allows him to leave peacefully.
@@rainbowrunner1550 Indeed. Tobey's Peter, being the older more experienced Spidey-bro, was the one to convince Tom's Peter to temper himself when the latter almost kills the Green Goblin in the No Way Home final fight after his May's death. He's been there before. When he let Dennis fall to his death ( "It didn't make it better") , and when he initially thought he killed Marko/Sandman while under the influence of the Symbiote suit. Tobey took Aunt May's words to heart in the end after hearing Marko's side of the story. So, in a sense, you're right.
