I just wanted to quickly hop on and say thank you all so much for the continued support - I’ve been going through a little bit of a tough time recently but you guys have been so supportive so thank you all 🙌🫡
good job on the videos! You should do a comparison video of this model with the spirit zulu time gmt. I need one of them but not sure which to get yet. It would this model in blue or the zulu time in 41mm and green
A truly beautiful piece. But, there’s no getting around the Rolex Submariner comparison (reversal of the round pips and rectangular hour markers, tapering oyster bracelet notwithstanding). I see hints of Omega SeaMaster as well.
This is really a great improvement for Longines. I saw it in London and I can say it’s a real masterpiece, especially the blue one. Defenitevely an heavy upgrade vs the previous version.
You must have seen a different watch to me lol. I will reserve judgement for the Blue one, but the Black looked and felt cheap to me which was a disappointment :(
@@wristopia4101 I saw the right watch 🤣🤣…after having seen/had many others in my life…this is a clear upgrade and the blue one provide a great quality feeling
Never had Longines really on my list. Especially the Hydroconquest was a bit too large for my taste and I didn’t like the clasp. This new model is just amazing and really let‘s me overthink my collection to find a spot for this new Hydroconquest👍. Highly interesting watch! Thanks a lot for this amazing video 👍
Yeah the watch community has collectively given Longines the nod of approval. If they keep this going, it might be wise to buy them before their price inevitably climbs out of ‘good value luxury’ territory. If Swatch Group keeps them at $4 grand (Spirit Flyback) and below for a decade, I’d be happy!
I have the LHC in black aluminum bezel, busy dial and I love it. It’s a 39 mm so the busy indices are super tiny so it looks highly detailed and sucks you in!
I dont know exactly why, but that older automatic HydroConquest is one of my favorite watches ever made. It feels so good in-hand and on-wrist. The quality is much higher than the pricetag.
excellent review and clean presentation! do you happen to know if the clasp extension (button) provides step adjustments or only one fixed extension? thank you
Great review, I've been debating this watch for awhile and just pulled the trigger on a lightly used sunray green model for almost 50% off MSRP! I am considering selling my Seiko Alpinist GMT (Green dial) so I don't have two competing green dials in the collection haha
Wrist check, I'm doing the hydroconquest red bezel 41m black dial today from 2015 on steel.. Nice.. And I actually bought it from you guys in your bromley shop ! Great service by the way. 👍🏼
I used to not be too much of a fan of diver style watches but the HydroConquest GMT made them look appealing again, especially the 41mm model. This review also made want to pick one up, so thanks for that I guess haha. Wristcheck today: a Tissot Chemin des Tourelles Powermatic 80 39mm in rosegold.
Love this watch in blue. Recently bought a SMP 300 in green so I have to start saving from zero for this. Marvelous watch for a reasonable price. Well done!
Contrary to many watch fans, I have never been a fan of the Rolex Sub. The ugly green box looks like it came out of a 70's disco, the dial has the cheaply stamped Rolex crown, excessive text above six o'clock, undecorated case back, the movement is not highly finished...I really don't understand the demand for such a lame watch. For the asking price, it should be much better. The Longines Hydroconquest GMT is value for money. Beautiful outer box, proud applied Longines Winged Hourglass logo on the dial, nicely finished case and bracelet, excellent movement...and a long respected provenance in horology. Longines proved that you can have your cake and eat it too. It's a home run. I just bought a Longines Ultra-Chron diver. With it's sapphire bezel and high-beat movement...it's a stunner.
Nice review! I have the exact same watch and just like yours (correct me if I'm wrong!) the date seems misaligned, sits a bit high in its window. I almost sent mine back for service, but decided to live with it for now.
I MUCH prefer the earlier model - it has a unique look that doesn't remind me of anything else. The new one @ 2:38 screams Mido OceanStar at me whilst the bezel and case are trying to be a Sub. If I wanted a diver that looks awfully like a Sub without being one, I'd buy a San Martin and save a bunch of cash
Sometimes I want to sell all my other watches and just collect Longines!! Especially with the new releases. I found myself picking Longines over the others especially big eye titanium blue dial
I'm not sure now. I have been looking at the white dial tudor but this looks nice as well. And like you say I save a grand! On the wrist Breitling avenger II gmt 43mm. Should have gotten the 45mm lol
really solid option for the money imo - my only gripe is there are too many different shapes on the dial, big circle, small circle, big triangle, small triangle, rectangle, diamond, sword, square. It looks busier than it should.
I like it! The bracelet for sure being all brushed and the quick adjust is great. Looks like Mido Oceanstar and sub had a kid... but yea... you're right, once you get close to a TUDOR price point it's tough. Definitely on discount it would be a consideration. Hope it's not too top heavy. My Tag 300M Aquaracer is starting to become too heavy for normal use.
I have mixed feelings of this. It looks stunning at first. But then the diamond lume on the hour hand looks kind of odd when there are circles and rectangles and triangle as indices. Also how is this 300m diver thinner than the Zulu time by 1mm and still manages to give depth to the dial. This is one of those watches that open up to oyu when seen live I guess.
I really feel my collection should feature a Longines at some point. Though to be honest I much prefer the spirit zulu gmt to this. Just bought a Longines for my mum who's 70 next weekend. Brilliant watches that for the money offer superb quality. Got my Omega Planet Ocean on right now, white dial orange bezel model with the killer lume.
orange is used for aviation due to it being visible with glare. its why bmw used it for nearly a century in their cars to match the aviation heritage. i like it, on the black - pops like the omega planet ocean
I have watched five videos on this watch now, and not one has given the lug to lug. As someone with small wrists, this is kind of relevant information. Do you happen to know the lug to lug?
Same feeling as a Tudor. Good quality, strange not-for-me hands, some fdesign items that look a bit strange, but a good price. I guess there's an audience for that, it's a good watch.
Thanks for the great video! What I don’t like are the dot markers on the 6 and the 9. I wish they used the baguette style markers. Although I like the new model more, I still lean towards the Spirit Zulu Time GMT…
Hello, Harrison as always - this was a great video! In the future, i'd like to see a side by side comparison between this version and the Spirit Zulu. I want a Longines GMT and would love to hear your input on these head on.
I have never considered Longines during my time collecting watches, that being despite their undoubted heritage. I have also never bought a watch with gold featured in any part of the watch. A couple of weeks ago I broke both those ducks when I bought number 30 in my collection. The Hydro Conquest grey dial, with a rose gold bezel, crown & Arabic numerals/indices was too tempting at first sight. It's a great looking watch on the grey rubber strap. The watch on the bracelet not so much so IMO. The bracelet, I feel, doesn't do the watch justice as it feels a bit light & of lesser quality than other similarly priced watches. Apart from that, at this price point Longines is knocking it out the park for looks & value.
I have this exact version 5:58 which I have to say I prefer. The new one is beautifully executed but, having the Explorer style numerals set the old one apart from other dive watches and now it just seems to look too generic.
Beautiful watch but this dots indices on dial at 6 and 9 o’clock are destroying the watch aesthetically. Looks like they didn’t have enough rectangles to complete the dial and put that to complete it 😅
Nice analysis and comparison, Harrison. Thank you! And if my eyes don’t deceive me, what’s up with your new jewelry? I noticed I was a bit distracted initially, but got used to it eventually.
i think if they could make the font yellow instead of orange that would be better, since black + orange is Mido's color (also a swatch group brand) and Mido came out earlier than Longines with their Ocean Star GMT watch which has basically the exact same function as the hydroconquest GMT. (true gmt + a diver's bezel) but Mido is below Longines' tier and the Ocean star GMT is only rated at 200 meter water resistant. so longines' 300M is better.
I just wanted to quickly hop on and say thank you all so much for the continued support - I’ve been going through a little bit of a tough time recently but you guys have been so supportive so thank you all 🙌🫡
One of the best Horology channels out there. I'm sure I speak for all in saying the pleasure is all ours 👌

Agree with you on this one. I'm more of an Omega and Rolex wearer, but this Longines felt amazing. That other reply is completely wrong.
Longines is killing it with their new releases lately
Yeah the watch community has collectively given Longines the nod of approval. If they keep this going, it might be wise to buy them before their price inevitably climbs out of ‘good value luxury’ territory. If Swatch Group keeps them at $4 grand (Spirit Flyback) and below for a decade, I’d be happy!
Just picked up the brown version of this and they knocked it out of the park.
Is it possible to buy the bracelet separately and put it in the Longines Hydroconquest 41mm?
Any idea if this hydroconquest gmt bracelet would fit the original hydroconquest?
Usually, I don't like GMT's but this one is a stunner!!!
Black dail is stunning. I like the contrast with the red markers.
Really like the green/gold colourway. Longines smashing it yet again!
Agreed. Colours are really well chosen. If they do that in a 39...
The dial is based on the vintage Longines Admiral diver, I like it. I was considering the Longines Admiral but could not find a decent example.
+1....plus it's shock proof (at least from my experience), dropped mine 3 times thanks to some aftermarket springbar, still runs perfectly.
excellent review and clean presentation! do you happen to know if the clasp extension (button) provides step adjustments or only one fixed extension? thank you
Step extensions just like submariner but it has 3 positions i guess
Love that you give your genuine opinion and preferences. Really really helpful, thank you.
Appreciate that mate, thanks for watching
I've been waiting for this review but the wait was ABSOLUTELY worthwhile! As Always!
Hope you enjoyed it! Cheers mate!
Where did you get that faux patina'd Hydro?? Here in Hungary that wasn't available.
Great review, I've been debating this watch for awhile and just pulled the trigger on a lightly used sunray green model for almost 50% off MSRP! I am considering selling my Seiko Alpinist GMT (Green dial) so I don't have two competing green dials in the collection haha

My perfect watch, I love the R submariner aestetic, but need a gmt function as well as a dive timer. This delivers.
I m wearing my Baume & Mercier two tone 200 m GMT. I love the look of that Longines GMT.
Thank you for the very nice review. Why do you think there is such difference in price for this Watch compared to the Zulu time?
Will this hold its value?
Wriat check: right now wearing a casio g shock a gws5600u carbon fiber insert strap version. Love it.
Love this watch in blue. Recently bought a SMP 300 in green so I have to start saving from zero for this. Marvelous watch for a reasonable price. Well done!
What is going on with the gap on the first link really like this watch but that gap is off putting the rubber strap seems the best way to go
I own this exact model and it's great , just waiting for the option to purchase the black rubber strap separately. Great review as always
I have the all black ceramic Longines Hydroconquest L37844569, which is one of my favorite watches.
Longines if you're listening pls make a non gmt version in 39 or 40mm, even
I think they will have a 39 but just do when they launch it 🤔
Non gmt with a thickness < 12mm would be a killer watch
@anjangaki it would be less by nature. It's one less added moment. Plus, the previous is thin. All they have to do is put that moment in the new case
Looks like they stepped up and finally found the Chris Ward clasp supplier.. it's EXACTLY the same clasp as CW.
Nice review! I have the exact same watch and just like yours (correct me if I'm wrong!) the date seems misaligned, sits a bit high in its window. I almost sent mine back for service, but decided to live with it for now.
Mine has the same thing. And every one I've seen in person does. Im wondering if its a purposeful perspective.
Just stumbled on this watch yesterday.
Really interesting option. Perfect sunny vacation option.
Wrist check: I'm wearing the Spinnaker Boettger- Orange dial with steel bracelet. Absolutely love this watch.
Belter!
Very nice Longines! How close does it get to your beloved SMP300?
Wrist check ✔️ citizen ecodrive titanium 'Ray Mears'. Bought yesterday for an office watch but a fingerprint magnet.
Green Longines Hydro with a green Delugs rubber strap. Best all around watch I’ve owned
+1...the only model similar to the earlier one is probably GO SeaQ
Great review…as always! Wearing an Omega Seamaster Quartz, black on black rubber strap…but, really like this GMT especially the blue
How come that Hydroconquest has black date wheel?
I have a 6.5" wrist, still thinking about if buy it or not.
Same. Did you try it in person?
Both the previous and current look amazing !!!
Your review was absolutely awesome! You make me want to get this watch! It's stunning
Sometimes I want to sell all my other watches and just collect Longines!! Especially with the new releases. I found myself picking Longines over the others especially big eye titanium blue dial
Wow, this is a solid new model. I really like it and think it's going to be a very popular model.
Have Longines used Screws on the bracelet links or are they still using pins?
Split pins. But still very easy to size. The bracelet is very comfortable.
Wish they would do a diver gmt with the spirit line instead and use this bracelet with female endlink and on the fly adjust.
this watch is gonna be legend after 20 years
Wristwatch check - wearing my favourite Seiko SARB035 now.
매우 동의합니다. 2 big circles --> 2 big triangles or a circle date window would look much better.
I still like the older hydroconquest with the arabic numerals. Currently wearing hamilton expedition 41mm
Great sub alternative. Might go take a look
Hope your throat gets better. You’re in the UK, buy some vocal zones, I have to have them shipped to Aus, you’re so lucky to have them available.
Some of those design choices are indeed strange.
About time they changed the crown guards and clasp!!! This one I'll certainly buy.
Thanks Longines for waking up!!!
Great video, thank you.
The Zulu is miles cooler than this one!
Excellent review! Not too many on YT!
Appreciate that!’
It's a bit of a safe choice for Longines. Not overwhelmed but it sure is a solid time piece.
I think every brand needs a black dial diver to try to capture that Submariner market.
I hope the time only/date version will get this updates. It's fantastic!
I love this watch, maybe even the best watch of 2024. I would love to own one some time 🙂
Got my trusty breitling colt 45 gmt on a black breitling rubber strap! 🤘
This is cool but not a brand I'd typically go for. Wrist check, Tag Heur Aquaracer black dial on black rubber strap ⌚️
I don't like the orange accents/numbers on the black GMT. For that reason I like the regular one more. Great watches regardless though.
orange is used for aviation due to it being visible with glare. its why bmw used it for nearly a century in their cars to match the aviation heritage. i like it, on the black - pops like the omega planet ocean
Great review..Such meticulous work is what everyone wants..looking foreward for more ..and beauty timepiece
Thank you mate, really appreciate that.
I've been leaning towards a microbrand GMT, but this Longines looks delicious!
I have watched five videos on this watch now, and not one has given the lug to lug. As someone with small wrists, this is kind of relevant information. Do you happen to know the lug to lug?
Brother i believe you forgot to mention the lug to lug or did i missed it? Beautiful watch

Epic.

Beautiful watch. Alongside the new Conquest the pair are reallly doing bits for Longines. On the wrist today blue steel Casioak GM2100
Agree! We actually have a conquest video coming soon. Epic watch aswell, as Nico would say, GOD TEIR
It's a great looking watch, I haven't got a Longines yet. This could be it. Wearing my Seiko sbdc167.
Hello, Harrison as always - this was a great video! In the future, i'd like to see a side by side comparison between this version and the Spirit Zulu. I want a Longines GMT and would love to hear your input on these head on.
Thanks mate! Absolutely let me take a look into this for you 🫡
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial Sounds great! Also, the brown version is definitely the best looking among the new variants 😉
This is great from Longines , i can finally order a hydroconquest i like! Well done

Got exactly the same..! The looks, the performance and the heritage make it a fantastic proposition.
We want an overview of the new Seiko Alpinist GMT please
I get Orient Mako Gen 1 vibes from the Longines and there is nothing wrong with that.
I am wearing my Casio G-Shock Tough Solar G-6900-1D.
I have this exact version 5:58 which I have to say I prefer. The new one is beautifully executed but, having the Explorer style numerals set the old one apart from other dive watches and now it just seems to look too generic.
This version is far far better than the old HydroConquests, IMO....
It reminds me of the Mido Ocean Star GMT M026.629.11.051.01, but that is 44mm-s, so this Longines is more wearable.
Only rhing that bothers me is, most videos i have seen, I see the GMT hand wiggles a bit while changing the time. Feels like a QC issue.
Add numerals at 3 6 9 a bigger trisngle and change the hour hand
I love this new gmt. I 6 wait to try it on. So happy w upgrades. Cheers
Super content as always. Thank you. 😊
Appreciate you mate, thank you
I can’t unsee how the 6 and 9 need to be larger rectangles and not circles.
Nice watch, nice review, I prefer this better than the Zulu, solid!
Great watch and great review, thank you
Beautiful watch but this dots indices on dial at 6 and 9 o’clock are destroying the watch aesthetically.
Hey mate, appreciate that. I actually have a story behind this but I don’t want to leak to much just yet…
The brown killed it in person!
I can see you say "It's stonning, it's seksi" on this HydroC
It is sexy 👀
By present standards well worth the asking but I bought my Hydroconquest on bracelet (two iterations back) for £650, not so long ago.
What is your wrist size?
Great job, subscribed! 👍
Appreciate that, thank you!
i think if they could make the font yellow instead of orange that would be better, since black + orange is Mido's color (also a swatch group brand) and Mido came out earlier than Longines with their Ocean Star GMT watch which has basically the exact same function as the hydroconquest GMT. (true gmt + a diver's bezel) but Mido is below Longines' tier and the Ocean star GMT is only rated at 200 meter water resistant. so longines' 300M is better.
This watch reminds me of the mido ocean star gmt Hodinkee version I owned
Just purchased the ultra chron . I think I would better wait for those
It’s a good video, thank you. Your rings, however, competed heavily to the watch for my attention.))
