It's fitting that the last SwagyTracks song was an Abstract one; he was the first artist I discovered through this channel after a friend linked me the song "Neverland" over summer break, and he is also one of my favorites. There were many others, like Luke Christopher, Hendersin, Yonas, Knowmads, Ryan Caraveo, Kid Quill, etc. I could go on and on. RIP Swagy, and thanks for all the memories. You helped me discover so many good songs throughout middle school and high school.
It isn't just Swagy either; I remember back in the day all the big music channels were popping off and never going below hundreds of thousands of views, and even often breaching a million views on some songs on channels like JennyMusic, EpicMusicWorld, Nightblue Music, XKitoMusic, the "Nation" channels, and probably a lot more that I don't remember. Maybe there are new channels out there blowing up that I'm just not aware of since I moved away from these communities, or maybe people just aren't interested in discovering music through these forms anymore. Either way, the communities were fun while they lasted, and nothing lasts forever. Enough of my nostalgia trip. If anyone is reading my inane rambling, I hope you have a good life.

The love and connection to what we’ve done over the years means everything 🙌 though these routes have fizzled thanks to *cough* TikTok *cough* corporatization *cough* many of the artists who were big players in all of it are still very active and I hope everyone tunes in to what they’re up to as the world and climate makes it increasingly more hard to exist as an independent artist, I for instance am going on tour in two weeks, community is still found out in the real world 🙌
@@AbstractTheArtist I wasn't expecting a reply from the man himself! But yeah, I do try to check in on most of the artists I enjoy every now and then when I've got the time. I suppose it was just more convenient as a listener when they were all posted on one channel for discoverability as a kind of notification of sorts that an artist had a new release, after which I could then check it out on the artist's official page, plus the community of people with similar tastes all gathered in one place was also a fun time. A contributing factor is also probably no small amount of nostalgia for when I was still in high school and times were simpler, lol. I hope you have a great time on the tour man. Also, "Something to Write Home About" is one of my favorites; the whole album's been on my playlist for who knows how long at this point, so thanks for making those bangers and many more.

Do you know anything about him? Is he OK? I'm from Germany and I don't even remember how I came across this playlist back then, but I loved it and was happy about every new song. Abstract was the first one I listened to on repeat. I just hope he's OK and has just found other interests in his life. A goodbye would have been cool.
