I love watching the goodwill hauls please don't stop! I couldn't get with the Versace crystal noir 😖. Now Aura is one of my favorite and I also have diamonds and emerald and don't really smell the similarities 😢. I wish because it's a cheaper option 👍👍
I have a dupe of Bal D'Afrique from a comoany here in UK called Perfume Parlour. I absolutely love it. I used to wear CK Be back in eary 2000s and I can see the comparison... I don't remember CK Be to have the citrus notes that Bal D'Afrique has though. It's more like just the base.
I absolutely agree about Aura and D&E. When I first got Diamonds and Emeralds, Aura was the first thing on my mind. I wouldn’t say they’re dupes when smelled side-by-side, but they’re close enough that I bet the casual observer would have trouble telling which one you had on.
I really need to try Diamonds and Emeralds. Aura is one of my favoutires, it's so unusual... the green balancing with the creamy facets takes me off guard. I love that.
There are a lot of Middle Eastern fragrances that I like, but many of them can definitely be harsh. They say to let them sit and they’ll get better, but even if that’s true, why do they sell fragrances that aren’t “ready” to be smelled? I don’t know that you’re a fan of gourmands, but I do love Lattafa Nebras, and it sells for about $35 on Amazon and other sites. It’s supposed to be a dupe of Billie Eilish’s original Eilish perfume, but I think it’s much better. It smells to me like chocolate mousse with whipped cream and topped with a sprig of fresh mint.
@MyPerfumeMap if you like dupes, Lataffa makes MANY great ones. I would give them another try. (BTW- I agree - Anwan is terrible. I was persuaded by another youtuber to blind buy it and YUCK! Smells nothing like L'Interdit which I own and LOVE.)
The first Lattafa pride series is coming down in price now and the quality is pretty good. Ansaam Gold ia really pretty, it's a dupe of DPM Oriana. ( I've just realised Awaan is actually in that collection 🙈 but dont let that put you off!)
La Vie Est Belle (LVEB) gets a lot of hate in the fragrance community because it’s become so popular. But I love it. It’s so strong and sweet, and I imagine it may be seen in the future as the (Dior) Poison of its day in terms of its polarization. I’m pretty sure that Luminous was meant to dupe LVEB. Also, you probably know, but just in case, BBW SAS starts on June 1 and Luminous is being retired. So at some point during the sale, it is likely to go down to 75% off.
Agreed, I don't understand hating LVEB. It is beautiful! I own many of the flankers that are also beautiful - my favorite being the intense and floral. I'd love to try the most recent releases soon.
I personally don’t like La Vie Est Belle bc it is very patchouli heavy and it doesn’t work for my body chemistry but I get we all have preferences! I feel like Black Opium is another one of those fragrances that’s so popular that people hate it, but it really works for some people (just not me!)
Versace Crystal Noir EDP has different notes than the EDT. I've been wearing it since it was 1st released in 2004. The EDP is my fav it has a coconut note. BUT this year it has been reformulated and I will be trying it of course.
I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this fragrance bc it sounds divine but I’m scared it’ll smell sunscreeny. Then again I also tried Arizona bloom that has a very unique coconut note that is so photorealistic to me so I’ve always been curious abt other coconut fragrance!
Hello Maria here. Your goodwill hauls are fun to me. I would like you to keep you showing them. May i ask you how to spell your name. I wrote your name previously as Karina. But i saw sombd call you Corina. Just want to make sure i call you the right way.
La vie est belle gets too much hate, it’s really good. Granted, it’s a perfume I’ll come across at least once a week at the grocery stoee and that’s why it’s not in my collection anymore but I own 7-8 flankers of it. I just love this line whatever people say about it… Gris Charnel is a 10/10 perfume for me but I decluttered Crystal Noir… not them same at all to my nose! 😉
@julieg_quebec-julieslivres8641 ons est voisins, je suis a ottawa ,cest 5 minutes a pied de quebec..je suis d'accord avec toi. Le crystal noir ne sens pas comme gris charnel
I’ve had 3 for 3 misses of Middle Eastern frags and am terrified to waste money on them again also, and one even had a 4.3 rating on Fragrantica which is awesome -but it was a firm NO for me. Every single one of them has had something very off putting in their DNA, just yuck!

Yes. Not dupes exactly, but really close and worth comparing. Thanks for your input!

I have heard good things about Nebras. I have a grocery store near me that sells Lattafa so maybe I’ll stop by and test it.

La vie est Belle is the most "hated", yet the most popular perfume 😅 doesn't make sense...same thing with YSL Opium... I love my LVEB
@@FragranceJunkie agree. I also love Black Opium.

Liam grey by lattafa is a great dupe of gris charnel for about 30 canadian so 20 ish usd.
I'm a big fan of Liam Grey. The perfimenacr isn't great but for the price I'm OK with that.
Please continue to do the Shop Goodwill hauls!
You got it!
Lol, I like your Goodwill hauls
Thank you! 😊
