@@jamie.dop_ Lee Jeffries was the first famous photographer I knew that did this sort of work and it’s been something that I wanted to try for a long time, just there aren’t many openly homeless around in the city I live in as the police would chase them away off the streets. I hope to see more of your work in that arena, seeing those images really bring about something special from the inside of the viewer
What key characteristics do you like? I think it’s just too grainy for me and great for memories but not necessarily for artwork and commissions. Glad to hear there are those out there that like it. Maybe I need another go at it!
@dop_ I like the high contrast, given the right composition I think it’s moody or atmospheric ! I put up a short image reel on my channel of some shots using it. I’ve since bought some more, I’m hoping to get into Edinburgh one night soon and rip through a few spools!
Enjoyed the walk around. Mate. I’ve to check out some of your other videos. Over on mine I shoot ilford fp4 a lot. For portraits I love it. Thanks for sharing mate. Cheers
I haven’t shot enough portraits on that yet but I did love the results. Will be up in a future video. Appreciate you taking the time to give your thoughts. Great to hear other people’s favourite film stocks and where they use them. J
The true speed of this film is between 1200 and 1600. At 3200 you are already pushing it. I have seen some really effective portraits done with this film and a Holga. Some really good photography there.
@@jamie.dop_ usually I expose for 1600 and develop normally, gives better results. Also try Tmax P3200, personally, prefer it over Delta. Great stuff as always😎
Great video. Good honest reportage, but also one of the best arguments I've seen for digital B&W.
@@davidcampbell1963 thanks David. I really appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed it. J
love this and your portraiture work of the homeless ❤
@@bubbachua thank you. Kind words. That work means a lot to me and to have you say that makes me smile. Cheers, J

lovely stuff
I like to use Delta 3200 at night or dusk, empty train stations, places without people etc.
This sounds like a great area to use it! Tripod and slightly longer exposures?
I love this film stock, I have only used it in low light (ish) and night time.

@@jamie.dop_ looking forward to your future content. Cheers from across the Irish Sea.
Good video. Did you consider pulling it and shooting it at 1600?
No I didn’t think of doing that. Would you recommend it? What key differences would it make to the images?

Legend. Thanks for the info. Always appreciated and encourages me to try it again now! Cheers, J
Next time try rating the film between iso 1000-1600
Someone else mentioned that too. I’ll give it a try next time!

5:32 I think that one is good.
Interesting
Get rid of the nose-ring.
In a world where men can be women and women can be men I think my nose ring is just fine thank you
@@jamie.dop_ Cringe. Dont accept a cringe world like that
Cringe comment.
