@bastiat The issue is back then the animators got given a storyboard and changes to the storyboard meant delays; so there was an incentive to do things right and high quality every time. Now animation studios get pitted against one another to make it cheap, often expected to rush work to meet the old deadline when storyboard changes happen. Its less a matter of skill as much as a reduction in time available to make the animation(this is also why so much is in a very simple art style, less detail = quicker to make/redraw).
It's sobering to think that two voice actors in this clip are no longer alive (Ed Asner and David Warner), but the joy they gave us will be around forever.

Me too I’m convinced Tim Curry could play a blade of grass and he’d be the most entertaining blade of grass in history . Although I dunno if any of the cast recorded together especially because typically in animation actors record their lines with just the director due to either scheduling conflicts or other reasons. Some shows though do have the entire cast record together but I dunno if Freakazoid was one of them. But I bet ya the guys listening to Tim Curry in the recording booth couldn’t keep a straight face especially when he goes “they called me mad, insane, wendall!”
I love how over the top Tim Curry can be and yet still be good. Even when he goes up the wall and off the deep end it still works, no matter what role he’s playing.

To this day this scene picks random times to pop into my head, make me laugh maniacally out of nowhere, and I have to say "Sorry, I just though of something hilarious"
Probably my favorite episode of Freakazoid. Combine this with the villains tormenting Jonesy on the plane (especially Candle Jack) and the only real flaw I see is the show is only 30 minutes long with commercials.
For the life of me I couldn't find this clip after the first time watching it, but I'm glad I found it again!! I love when characters break the 4th wall!!
