I had Rare Breed in my top 10 under $50 video. Even though it's $53 around me, you can still find it for under 50 in most places I think. Awesome pour though! One of my favorites.
A good list of bottles, I'd put Nulu Reserve, Trails End 10 yr, Tumblin' Dice SBBP all really good. Blanton's SB is $70 here. I personally like 1910 over Woodford DO for being same price. I get Baker's 7 for $49 at Costco and love it. Knob 12 is on my next bottle list.
Appreciate the recommendations! I see Nulu from time to time but I don't think Trails End and Tumblin' Dice have distribution around here, will definitely keep an eye out. Thanks for watching!
Nice choices I’m not a double oak guy but I understand how some people enjoy it. I personally like bold spicy whiskey. Not into the wine finished or the Ambreana finished whiskey. Just to sweet and overpowering.
I love bold and spicy as well, although I also enjoy a good double oaked. Finishes could go either way for me, although amburana is def at the bottom of my list. Sagamore's finished ryes are some of the best examples of what's possible if done right. All of them are so good!
Carl T Hubert Starlight Whiskey is on Sale $11.00 off for 750ml. At New Hampshire State liquor stores plus you can get discounts for multiple bottles or amount spent! Right now $34.00
Jesus, that's the best price I've heard of by far! I'd buy them all for $34, they put out a ton of finishes and I haven't worked my way through them all yet, love the ones I've tried though!
@bethereagainproductions6534 cherry is the prominent note I get, but it's a darker cherry, almost like a burnt cherry pie. I'll try and post a short, 60 second review in the next day or so. Keep an eye out!
@@averagejoeswhiskey, I will keep an eye out for a 60 second review. Some bottles that don't get wide distribution, like some of Seelbach's products, are difficult to find reviews of.

@@averagejoeswhiskey, Sounds good! Probably would be especially helpful if a bottle is still in stock. (Heard about a Seelbach's pick that's good but, by the time I heard about, it was already sold out.) I do know of a channel that recently got some unsolicited media samples from Seelbach's after previously reviewing a Seelbach's store pick.
Nice list! No Stagg? Lol. I’m out on the double oaked stuff, smoke wagon and the Starlight. I grabbed one of their single barrels finished in maple syrup casks and it was a dumpster fire. That Remus sounds interesting!
I thought about putting Stagg on the list but figured I'd get murdered for it. 😆 I do like a good double oaked but I'm with you on the maple finishes. Thanks for watching!
Knob Creek 12 is weird, it's allocated in VA but I see it on the shelf almost everywhere in MD. One of those state by state bottles I guess. Thanks for watching!
Hey first time I catch one of your videos. I like it. Good list here. WIll have to go back and check out some of your other vids. New Sub for sure. cheers
I would choose your honorable mentions, over your weird labeled top ten, with the exception of the knob creek12, the knob creek 15 is very good as well, the two heaven hill bourbon are decent products 😊
I reach for a lot of the honorable mentions more often as well, but I tried to put the well aged stuff over the finished bottles. Not an exact science, it's really just a list of 14 good bottles of whiskey. Haven't tried the KC15 but I absolutely love the 18, I think it's much better than EC18. Thanks for watching!
Lots of bourbons are sour mash whiskies. Most actually. But whether Tennessee whiskies are bourbons or not I think is irrelevant, I could really argue both sides, but for comparison purposes, I think it definitely belongs on a list with the bourbons.
Did I miss Rare Breed? As good as there is for under 75 bucks.

Nothing punches up like rare breed.
One of my fav's. Great value. Like WT 101, too.
Love Knob Creek 12-year!! Also really like Knob Creek single barrel store picks.
Love MM 46 CS, KC 12, OF1920, KC BS 120 Proof, LBP, and ECBP. Also RRSB and OF 1910. Haven't had the others.
Good selection of bourbons👍🏻
something to keep in mind is that everybody has different taste buds. with that said, you did an excellent job.
100%. Even my own taste buds can change
Solid list. Ton of good bottles in this range.
Some of my favorite bottles in the world in this range

Trail’s End 10 is one of the best hidden gems on the market today.
I have a Makers 46. It’s only 94 proof but on sale it was $36! It is so tasty and actually blows the cask strength I bought with it out of the water.
46 is def an underrated bottle. Tastes like straight up angel food cake.

Is that Starlight Double Oaked from Seelbach's?
Indeed it is.

Damn good list Joe ! I wish a couple of those bottles like Knob Creek 12 would come to Michigan ! Thank You

@@averagejoeswhiskey It's all over MD. Finally picked up a bottle last summer for $55 and it is excellent.

Smoke wagon uses italian glass for their whiskeys.

Tennessee whiskey is mostly a sourmash whiskey, not considered a bourbon 🥴
