Never stop climbing. Every inch you gain is an inch you never give back. I watched Master Shi speak at a Ted Talk and that day I stopped drinking. I see myself climbing a mountain every day these days. When I think of my weaknesses, I see them as a restaurant at the bottom of the mountain I tragically zip back to when I succumb. So I dont succumb. I keep climbing. And clarity...is worth it.

      Master Shi :D
Shi is not his name, it´s the Buddhist name, all monks take on. It´s basically like "Monk Hengyi", so you call him "Master Monk". (Shi actually comes from Shijiamunei, the Chinese rendition of Buddha´s name Shakyamuni)

I would say less of a discomfort or fighting the ego and more of being at a level where he has no interest in compliments. This man truly embodies what he teaches and doesn't deter from them even the slightest. There is such stillness and stability in how he speaks, thinks and just is - no unnecessary movements or fidgeting nor unnecessary words.

I see it as it is not just the physical attainment of materials or people that you might lose in life. It is the physical feeling it creates to you when you have attained it. If you are attached so called addicted to this feeling, you will always 'lose' it shortly after the subjects has been attained. That is way he is saying 'you will lose it'. Be grateful of the things you create, but know that ultimately you are already perfectly created and are simply manifesting things in this world to experience.

I got hooked by your description of the last Question. The up and down in life, the similarity of that process which so often had a big impact on human life, because we always want to archive stability and Progress but most time it´s really hard to lose things or people you love and put a lot of effort in. Emotions can get overwhelming than and you lose control and hope that things will be good soon again. Life can stagnate for a very long time if it´s impossible to let things go although you know to hold on only hurts more. Often then we start to overdo things try harder and harder to fight for and mess up totally, ending up more exhausted and more desperate. How to change the view and see other opportunities when you caught in pain and desperation? The enormous clarity you have and how to explain all that conditions is so good to understand and straight to the point. I´m looking forward to seeing and hear more. It´s like you bring light in the dark. Your Knowledge is something so important to the world and humanity it has the power to change things for the better I´m convinced. Thank you so much for all that Wisdom you gave here.

Thank you. I am trying to bring my life back on track. I feel drained all the time. I have to transform my way of life to feel some of that energy. It helps to have someone one may regard as a role model. 🙏

The thought of quest for stability, about which Master Shi talks towards the end of the video, has come across my mind before. Master oneself by finding that stability. I am having a very good feeling my quest for a mentor is going to be successful now.

His answer to the last question should remind educated westerners of Plato's immortal soul. And that since the soul is eternal, and the body is not, care for the soul and not material gain should be the priority in life. Plato's philosophy was eastern in nature, but put in western context.

Such a beautiful man, Master Shi Heng Yi. I also enjoy his qi gong videos. He says a lot of what can be found in the Bible. I would be curious as to what Master Shi Heng Yi thinks of Jesus and his disciples.
I used to try to find teachers and masters to help me spiritually. I learned much from many who claimed to be masters, but I didn't feel peace until I met the one who created me. I wasn't able to find that peace spoken of from others until I became a Christian. Now I can go through anything in life and feel at peace knowing that Jesus will get me through it...and it's a WONDERFUL feeling! I've been through the deaths of my family, job losses, physical abuse as a child, divorce and poverty but I got through it all with Jesus to lean on.
I was a Native spiritualist before and a friend asked me if I wanted to study the Bible with her. I asked her if she would read what I believed, first (Native spirituality). She agreed. I gave her 40 pages of Native spirituality then explained what it meant. She listened intently and even asked many questions. Then I had to live up to my end of the bargain. I began studying the Bible. I went in thinking I would show her why the Bible wasn't true and "enlighten her" to the truth. Before we finished, I became a Christian and I was enlightened by the teachings of Jesus. Since then, I have yet to find a man who is any wiser.
Many miraculous things happened in my life that I could not explain. I went to see the movie, "Passion of the Christ" (which is written in Aramaic with subtitles). I found that by the middle of the movie, I could speak and understand Aramaic without reading the subtitles (I don't KNOW that language...I only know French, Cherokee and English... but somehow, I knew Aramaic then). I got down on my knees in the movie theater right then and asked my friend if I could be baptized. Now I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I am no longer looking for a master. He's it...and eternal life awaits me when I leave this earth, and an abundant one here on earth now. It's a great feeling. That feeling of peace in life no matter WHAT the circumstance does exist.
