Crazy how she ended up starting a whole transphobic movement that could turn into violence all because she's jealous and insecure of other women.
I'm a petite guy and was very feminine-looking in my teens and early 20s. A lot of strange people came at me claiming I was trans, and I didn't ease their tension because I just asked "so what if I was". It was kind of eye-opening for me. I'm glad this happened, it opened my eyes early in life to see who really was displaying the destructive behavior.

@@inactive120 Same here, I mean even in the most outlandish example of someone A) transitioning as an adult since otherwise the actual physical differences between natural and injected hormones are minimal, b) already being a skilled enough athlete to get into a top-tier team, and C) wanting for some reason to defeat the female team when often you can do so anyway in a regular match-up, there is no noticeable societal change to what you can/can't do.

So what if I look gay or like a woman, I don't fucking care. That's your problem to figure out not mine. Didn't really bug me since I wasn't, but gave me some early perspective on what the reality of living as a woman could be. Also hopefully taught the dude that SA'd me (he slapped my butt from behind while we were walking up a staircase in high school) a lesson, even if it was the wrong lesson, about not touching people without consent. He was very short and definitely seemed really shocked when I turned around and was a dude towering over him from higher on the staircase. His muttered excuse was that he "thought I was a girl," which while completely missing the point of why he shouldn't be touching random people's butts, hopefully at least made him think twice about it next time.
Same for me and I'm not feminine I just love to dance with my whole body so I was always "accused" of being gay. I used to ask them back "would it make it easier for you if I was?" The faces they would make were priceless 😂

Something similar-ish happened to me. Years ago, a mistake was made in ONE government system. Somehow the male version of my personal name was saved in it instead of the female version. Mostly resulted in laughs and giggles whenever I had to deal with people related to that government body. I actually tried to correct it back then but the gov software was too trash for that.
Well, it's been over a decade, I'm no longer even in that system, but somehow this mistake keeps replicating itself to other gov systems and gov-adjacent(. I fix it in one system, then it gets "corrected"/replicated over from somewhere else. At this point I've just accepted this as my life.

I think the single dumbest transvestigation I've seen was one on Twitter where someone was trying to prove that Chelsea Manning, a very, very, very famous transgender woman, was actually assigned female at birth and transitioned into a man, then transitioned into a woman. They didn't even try to argue that she, like, detransitioned or anything; they just thought it was, like, a double transition or something? Bizarre.

5'7" is not tall for a woman these days. My family of 5 girl siblings are all over 5'7" and have children, male and female all over 6'. I believe it has to do with one's ethnic background and the size of one's parents and excellent nutrition. A common and very funny element I notice in conspiracy theories is that because of their utter lack of curiosity, distrust of mainstream information, and overconfidence in their intelligence, they act like experts in everything, but have no actual knowledge of anything so their only tools in the toolbox are drawing on photos and making memes to get their points across.
Never ceases to amaze me at how some people can come so close to realizing something before going so far they're off the mark.

It’s really wild how close these people get to realizing that gender is altogether arbitrary.

I have the most distinct memory of me, when I was 16, being self conscious about MY SHOULDERS being "too broad" for a girl. It gets really toxic, really fast, for people, like self conscious teenagers, having issues with their self image, and can cause a lot of damage to "nOrMaL rEaL wOmEn", who these types of people are allegedly wanting to "protect" with this type of anti trans rhetoric.
I genuinely don't even know where those ideas came from, I can't recall a specific moment in my life where someone outright said to me "hey, it's bad for you to have shoulder blades", and that's honestly pretty scary, that it just crept into my mind through more subtle influences.
Now that I'm older and allegedly wiser, I've accepted the fact that it's okay to have bones. I've also accepted the fact that I don't usually dress feminine, have short hair, and my clothes aren't form fitting, so it's not super insulting when some random person addresses me as a man.
I'm fine with just ignoring a random stranger I'll only be talking to for a couple of minutes misgendering me, because I'm comfortable with myself as a woman, no matter what clothes I'm wearing or what haircut I have. And I'm also too socially awkward to outright correct them, so it's easier to let it slide and just be mildly annoyed.
But I'm starting to get concerned about the reaction of other people who might look at me and assume I must be trans, and therefore going to do a crime in the nearest public bathroom. If women much more feminine than me are being viewed as secretly trans men, then I probably will be too.
And that's just me as a cis woman being nervous about this sort of vigilante policing accidentally targeting me in these sweeping condemnations. It's got to be a lot more terrifying for someone who's actually trans having to deal with this stuff nonstop.

First time I'm hearing about this, so I did some peaking into these "transvestigators" and oh boy (sic!) what a trip. Scrolled under some of their "investigation" videos and found dozens of people writing a variation of a comment that I will now quote:
"I knew it too! It's been difficult and frustrating being surrounded by people who had no idea and didn't believe me!"
and it made me think. Just imagine working with someone like this. You come to work, say hi, do your job, and during coffe break or lunch that one girl or dude keeps talking about Clint Eastwood being secretly a chick and getting visibly upset when the whole office laughs its ass off at this insanity. I mean, I wouldn't know if I should fear such person or are they harmless irl.
I work construction, and you get all kinds. Never had a transvestigator, but I have run into sovereign citizens (I'm in Canada, apparently they exist here too), people who believe in the Illuminati, flat earth, etc.
Most of them learn not to bring it up because people make fun of them for it. Most are good people, but yeah, usually once they start they don't stop.

I've seen mulitple people who tell themselves "they can always tell" say a woman is hot even though she is actually trans.
Their reactions when they realize that they couldn't tell the difference is so hilarious.
The reality is most people can tell. The ones who perfectly blend are the exception, not the rule.
My favorite one was a post revealing how Ellen DeGeneres was actually born female and then inverted to male.
And you know what their best piece of evidence was? They edited a picture to give Ellen some long hair.

No. Not at all.
After hormonal therapy, very few could tell the birth sex of a transgender person.
There's some trans people that do not do HRT. Some whose genes still puts them at a distinct point in the physical spectrum. Those, are the exceptions.
When you go outside, you will see trans women, who went through an ardous journey to pass as a woman, and you will never be able to tell her apart from a cis woman. You will never know unless you talk to her and she tells you.
There is a phenomena of humans seeing the exception and making it the rule, while reality is quite the opposite. And the exception is people who do not blend in.

It's almost like masculine/feminine traits are more of a bimodal distribution and you can actually be a cis dude with a big juicy 🍑or a cis woman with broad shoulders and a square jaw. Not everyone looks like carbon copies of everyone else who shares the same birth sex. Whoda thunk it.
Getting a bit more meta but this is actually part of the reason why "bathroom bills" are such a terrible idea, unless you have mandatory genital inspections for everyone at the door how do you even know? Best to avoid going down that rabbit hole and spare actual trans people as well as cis people who don't look "stereotypically" cis (including intersex people, who are more common than you might think) the embarrassment.

Florida's "Fairness in women's sports" bill legalizes school sanctioned genital inspections for any student whose gender is "challenged" by anyone. In other words, if you think a student is trans you can submit a form to force them to get their genitals inspected by the school. Absolutely terrifying, disgusting, and hypocritical.

If bathroom bills are introduced into my state I would genuinely be worried for her safety. Like are they going to have chromosome detectors at the doors? My very unscientific hypothesis of how this got started was that people who started at "we can always tell" found out they actually could not and it was either this or admit they were wrong.
I think that’s pretty spot on. We’re all realizing life isn’t some predetermined presentation. These people have based their entire identities on trying to keep up with the status quo for their gender; only “big brutes and dainty females”
They just straight up hate all LGBTQ people because we automatically destabilize gender norms.
I think this is happening because transition methods have advanced so much more than it has in the last decade that a lot of trans people today are not just the old stereotypes they can find anymore to define a trans person who isnt passing to them (which is more likely the case when a person didnt get the hormone blockers to stop their pre-transition puberty traits and have to transition far later.)
The better transition gets for people to fully fulfill their desired appearances, the transphobes realize that they don't know how to handle this fact when they see a passing person they find attractive. Thus they get intimidated by it. Terfs also get insecure because they see them as a threat to their own perception of their own attractiveness and think their insecurity is being overwritten by transwomen they see as men, looking more feminine than they expected, in comparison to how they see themselves.
They are fighting their own biases and think they need to work harder now to "expose" them, only for them to now think every cis woman might be secretly trans, rather than accepting that their stereotypes for trans women are narrow-minded. Its why chasers exist.

The biggest problem of all conspiracy theories is the inability to give a satisfying answer to "why". It's a tiny three-letter question but so very important, and is often overlooked, even in non-conspiracy situations. It's a question conspiracy theorists _believe_ they are asking, but they all forget to pose that question to their own beliefs. "Why do I believe this?" and "Why is it that I have discovered this, but not many other people?" are not questions they ask. And the most important question of them all is "Why should it matter if everyone is trans?"
That isn't true of "all" conspiracy theories. Just a certain variety of them.

"JFK assassination theories"
All of these have conclusive WHYs, if a lack of evidence.
The only theories that lack reasons behind them usually have a lot of roots in evangelical reactionary culture. You don't need a reason if your culprit is supposedly "satan".

There's always been a certain distrust in medical advancements (and science in general, really) when people haven't caught up mentally with the technology presented. And it causes a paranoia that's never fully understood, especially when that paranoia seems justified by missteps of institutions like pharmacology, or biology, or psychology for that matter. Hell, I think that's why a lot of people these days are having trouble with the spotlight on trans identity as well. Some folk are still conflating gender and biological sex and calling it "unnatural" or a form of mental illness, even though they can't exactly explain how or why and even though there are studies by doctors and other professionals that prove otherwise. So whenever a story comes out about a bad person who happened to be trans, or when a vaccine is perceived to have given someone a heart attack, or the thought that 5G waves are giving a person migraines, it's further proof to them that progress is a problem.

Man, thank you for making this video. I tried telling my wife about this. I'm a 39 year old male, I've always been a male. Apparently my being decently gray in the hair, not balding, not over weight, Keanu Reeves style patchy facial hair, means I'm trans. I cant go to the airport, or on a cruise for vacation, or even out to eat some times without over hearing some group of idiots, usually entire families with the parents and children all involved having a debate or argument about whether or not I'm a trans man. I'm all about people being who they want to be, I dont have a problem with someone being trans, its really not much of my business, but I find being accused of being trans quite offensive. Mostly because its being meant as something offensive. I can only imagine how uncomfortable an ACTUAL trans person would be made if they were in my shoes during these situations. My wife tried to accuse me of being crazy, she's quite rude to me in that way sometimes. This has validated me sir, I'm going to show this to her also. I can alsos say I've gotten it from most all demographics and races. Poor, rich, uneducated, educated, this type of ignorance and delusion seems to not discriminate when gripping people.

There was a study in the US in which on average people thought 25% of the population is trans, when it's not even 1%, the study showed people in general would over estimate thr number of a minority group in the population i.e. number of millionaires in the USA and underestimate a majority i.e. percentage of people in the US who are Christians

You don't perceive the harm because you'd be glad if there were more of your kind, but these guys well, they find it harmful if they have to see more of your kind in ten years. Although obviously they're going way overboard.
All this to say: bad argument. It only works on simpletons. Society must always worry about what someone else is doing because we live near each other and people imitate what they see. Imagine if everyone around you became a Muslim. It would inevitably affect your laws and the people you interact with.
It could even apply to how people use the bathroom.
