You shouldn’t admire someone just because they are transgender. You should admire someone because of the great things they’ve done in life for other people.
They don’t admire them just because they are trans. They are admired because trans people have to deal with a bunch o bull on daily but to announce yourself publicly you have to deal with double that. So to stand up and represent other people like that really does help trans people who might be struggling and need somebody to look up to for courage. Trust me I know when I say Trans people don't only deal with the outside problems coming from other people but before any transition, they deal with a lot of self-destructive thoughts especially if their community doesn't accept them it's really hard to look in the mirror and just accept what you see when you feel that is not you. It's even harder to accept your own feelings when a bunch of people tells you that it's wrong to feel that way. I have a friend who I got the chance to experience their time going through all of that. Before transition, it was a really dark time for her she would come and tell me about how she felt and her problems and every time it was a pain in my chest to see how things made her so heartbroken I'm glad to see how much better she is doing after the transition. But I basically thought the same way as you which in a way isn't wrong but she told me that had she not seen Jazz Jennings or had the friends she had she would probably not be alive today because she would have never had the courage to tell her family and endure the hardships that came with it.

I am not transphobic in any way, I have friends who are trans - and we all think that transgender women should not be competing in womens sports… it doesn’t matter how much eostrogen is pumped into a body, the male biological form will still be able to out-perform a biological female. Trans-athletes should have their own category in sports competitions.

The reason I say this is because to begin with, there probably won’t be as many athletes around; But as time and interest and wider knowledge/coverage of the sports goes forward, and more athletes appear in the world, then things can grow from there. Both trans women and trans men against each other is a lot more fair than either going up against biological male / women. That’s also why you don’t really see trans-men athletes competing against biological men.

No transgender I’m aware of is actually claiming to biologically be that sex that they identify as.. gender and sex are two separate things. This isn’t even disputed- look up practically any source you want. Gender refers to the social construct and it’s the representation of ourselves and it can change and is fluid.. sex, refers to the actual hardware- what you were born with. Nobody is arguing that a transgender woman IS biologically a woman after transitioning (there might be a few people who do but it’s not the majority), they’re referring to their internal wiring which can totally NOT match up w the hardware. I am not transphobic in any way, I have friends who are trans - and we all think that transgender women should not be competing in womens sports… it doesn’t matter how much eostrogen is pumped into a body, the male biological form will still be able to out-perform a biological female.

However, at the beginning of this new era of sport, it could start with a trans team against another trans team - both trans men and trans women competing together/against each other.
The reason I say this is because to begin with, there probably won’t be as many athletes around; But as time and interest and wider knowledge/coverage of the sports goes forward, and more athletes appear in the world, then things can grow from there.
Both trans women and trans men against each other is a lot more fair than either going up against biological male / women. That’s also why you don’t really see trans-men athletes competing against biological men.

I watched the show for a while. Jazz's mother is responsible for him transitioning and HE is very unhappy. Males pay attention to him because he is an oddity, but, they don't want a relationship with him. He is a very sad young man. I imagine he will transition back some day, after his mother dies.
A lot of these "transgenders" are kids of a parent who wanted a girl instead of a boy or vice versa
The only one I don't admire is Jenner she's a bit of a hypocrite and a terrible role model

Questioning if someone born a male should be beating up on women in MMA is not transphobia. Just because someone is trans or gay, doesnt mean they are perfect human beings that can do no wrong, it doesnt mean they have perfect judgement. Fallon Fox lived as a man for 30 years, its not like she transitioned as a child. Male bodies are bigger, stronger and that advantage doesnt disappear when you take hormones. The world's sporting competitions still dont have a scientific standard for trans competitors because the science is not settled.

I've heard some people say that the biggest "war on women" is transgender equality in sports. They're already separated from males in competition because of a man's natural advantages, so what sense does it make to say women and transgenders are equal? No amount of hormones can change your biological makeup. It may make your voice deeper and make you grow hair, however it will not change chromosomes or bone structure. It may make you more feminine but again biology is biology that’s why we learn it in school.

Y’all need to update this.. What’s so terribly sad is Jazz is now a very depressed human, who has put on 100.. lbs, due to binge eating. His mother should’ve allowed him to express himself through clothing/accessories.. but never with manufactured hormones & ultimately butchering his body.. b/w his family and the “doctors” who not only led him on this path, but ultimately coerced him into it, should be put in jail. I pray all of those in the position Jazz was in, during early adolescence, use his story to at least hold back. And allow development to complete to decide such a monumental forever change. Right. Joe Rogan has talked about this at length. He went from middle of the pack male fighter, to a dominant female competitor. I personality think everyone has the right to do anything people talking hate on the issue are just losing their own time on earth. But I walk away with the perspective that this women is a slim ball for going into the octogon and never disclosing this pre fight and getting away with this huge loop hole of the ufc and medical laws. She does deserve scrutiny because I’m sure a few of the girls she malled in the ring would have had this knowledge preflight.
