First time working on a vehicle and I am trying to figure some things out and this video really helped me. I am rebuilding my dad's transmission so that I can have a form of transportation and I just want to say thank you for the assistance I tried just going by the book but this was way more helpful than it proved to be.

This is immensely helpful! I just picked up a '98 with a trashed trans. Have an ax15 waiting to go in, but gotta get this old girl out... Showing the full length with all the small struggles with fittings, etc is an amazing help to someone thats never done this before.

Also in the future get you a setof Flex head wrenches. For the starter removal use a 1/4 inch Ratchet or A flex head wrench.

I did a trans all by my self. I cut a piece of plywood the size of the bottom of the trans.Drilled a whole in the center of it. Remove the center bolt or screw from the floor jack. You will have to drill 4screw holes in it. to fit it on the Bottom of the plywood.then screw the plywood on to the jack.now put the jack under the trans. Before removing the trans brace with a ratchet strap.transmission will go no wear.

Next time disconnect all cables from the side of the transmission it makes removal of any bracket much easier. Trust me.
