Had it at the Chrysler/Jeep dealer this morning to finally get recall stuff taken care of and I kinda just crumbled into submission and had them look at the problem. Yup, solenoid pack. $850!!!! With your video I could have done it. True, the part is pricey but, not $850. I can only chaulk it up that NOW I'll know what to do NEXT TIME. sighhhhh. What's that you playin' in your picture???? Hi first off thank you for taking the time to record and post this. I'm working on this very issue with my 02 jeep started today but having issue getting valve body completely off transmission housing. I've got all the bolts out but it's hung up on shifting mechanism. What do I need to remove to get it completely off? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Make sure the plug going into the Trans is completely off, that could get it stuck. I don't see how it could get stuck on the shifter, maybe try it in a different position, neutral or reverse? Just remember which position its in so you can have the selector plate in the right spot when you reinstall. And double check your bolts.
When I would first drive away the transmission would go into limp mode (which I've now forgotten if thats 3rd or 2nd gear) and wouldn't shift past that. Once I got down the road a mile or so I could restart my car and it would shift fine. So I was able to drive for a while and get my research done before replacing it. I'm pretty sure it was my OD pressure switch on the solenoid pack that was stuck. It has a large magnet on it and was all gunked up.
@@jalandub Having similar symptoms today for the first time. Hard shift into limp mode on the way home. Will do some battery disconnects and driving around to see if that helps narrow it down. Your video is awesome - thanks for making this.
Great detail in your video! Very informative. My 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee will occasionally not start unless I shift into neutral, and even then will sometimes not start. When that happens, I have to occasionally shift into neutral to get it rolling very slowly, then quickly move the shifter from Neutral to Park. The vehicle stops rolling abruptly, but I will usually start when turning the key. I know that it's not good for the transmission, but sometimes I have no other option. I was going to replace the neutral safety switch and that is when I learned that my Jeep's transmission doesn't have an externally accessible neutral safety switch, but some sort of solenoid in the transmission that is not allowing the engine to start. Is the part you are replacing in this video the same part that will resolve my "solenoid module neutral safety switch" issue; or are my Jeep WJ problems unrelated to your Jeep issues? I'm trying to find the part number that I need to order to fix the problem.
Sounds like you have a different issue. The codes/problems that came up with my solenoid issue weren't related to starting issues, but made the transmission go into "limp mode". Good luck! There is a good jeep forum community out there
Hi Jeff... i did the same in a Dakota 2006 w/ 45rfe trans and fix the codes but i lost the reverse all run ok except the reverse don't work and before with the old solenoids it was working good .the problem was starting in 4th what do you think i don't do right ?
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The transmission stooped shifting two weeks ago. I replaced the two solenoids, wiring harness, tork converter and spring accumulator. However the transmission still is not shifting. Please advise.
From the manual: "Install the bolts (1) (Fig. 144) to hold the transmission solenoid/TRS assembly onto the valve body. (4) Tighten the solenoid assembly screws adjacent to the arrows cast into the bottom of the valve body first. Tighten the screws to 5.7 N·m (50 in.lbs.). (5) Tighten the remainder of the solenoid assembly screws to 5.7 N·m (50 in.lbs.)." Valve Body Bolt 11.8 N m, (8.7 in.lbs)
HI, Jeff. Can you tell me how to replace the accomulator pistons and seals in the body valve at 545RFE TRANS. 2003 dodge ram 1500 , 4.7 2WD ? Than you!
Sorry I have no idea how to do that. This video about shows the extent of my knowledge on my transmission, which I learned to do only because I had this specific problem.
Hmm, not sure, since everything this project works on isn't related to the starter. Make sure you plug your connector back into the Trans. Other than that check your battery I guess? Good luck, glad the video helped.
It was my ECM! Got a different one installed and it started right up. Unfortunately it won't go into gear, so I think I installed the detent plate incorrectly.
Ive got a P0750 error, I suspect it's the wiring because the error only occurs once every blue moon. If I'm goin in there should I just replace the whole damn solenoid or potentially save 300 bucks?
Did your new solenoid pack come coated/covered in ATF? Just received mine today and it was leaking out of the shipping box. Very good and helpful video BTW
Mine came soaked in ATF, but didn't seem to bother anything. I paid for a new one and was wondering if that's actually what I got... my jeeps running like a charm now. I appreciate the feedback and thanks again for the awesome video!
Mikey Murphy I just recently purchased my solenoid pack from the Dealer and it also came soaked in ATF,so I'm thinking that's a good thing. It was also sealed up in packaging.
Okay, good. I appreciate the feedback ajm12180. I feel better about it being a new part now. Mine was in a big heavy duty zip lock bag when I received it.
Mine goes into limp mode and throws that code if I don't let it warm up in the morning before I leave to go to work, but it usually drives normal once it's warmed up and the engine code goes off in a couple weeks
Thanks. New filter kit ans fluid and my shift solenoid has still been throwing the code and not shifting the trans until I reset and let the 07 Aspen sit with the engine off. I think i missed where you state which bolts are removed to drop the value body. Are they marked or easy to identify?
THX FOR VIDEO was looking at these for several days you are only one I could find the show connector on trans, how the latch works no looked at mine yet, but was trying to see if you can tell if solenoid side is white or black plug before I order part looks like I need to pop connector before I can tell color. working on moms 2002 dodge ram 1500 2wd 4 door 4.7L I have same but 2005 getting po750 code and it's intermittent, clear code and might drive ok for a week. I should have black connector in the 2002 and white in 2005 but if I just assume and order without checking, I might just be out of luck if I order wrong part, lol
You’re saying the problem (P1781) was all because of the filter seal? really bro? No. Its fine if it comes out with the filter. As I said in the video, it needs to be reseated before placing the new filter. That's based on all the research I did before replacing it. If you take the filter out and the seal stays put, good for you.
Thanks for the information. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to do this soon. Just turned on my vehicle and shifted to drive and it was stuck in 3rd gear. It also doesn't shift down at lower speeds unless you hit the gas significantly and there's some slop between gears.
Hi please help me my Jeep 2003 quadra drive grand cherokee only takes one gear, reverse even if you put it on drive it still reverse, what could be the problem?
I would say just save yourself the hassle and get the original with the black connector, but if you want to get the newer white one then you will have to find the adapter plate and I don't know where to find that. Jeep forums offer a lot of help
great video I got 01 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 its will not shift I can only go 20mph but I'm not getting any trouble code any idea if its the solenoid pack or governor pressure solenoid?
Your jeep has the 545RFE Trans in it, not sure if that changes things or if they're similar enough. Everything I know is in this video for this type of problem.
Hey Jeff Weeks, have you heard since your video and even during your research of a 99 JGC 4.0L going into limp mode only when the low fuel indicator comes on?
I need help please I have a 2002 Jeep Grand limited, I thought it needed a neutral safety switch sensor, because sometimes it doesn't start when its in 'park' but then take it out of park and put it back in, then it falls into place and starts, and the rear back up lights don't come on in reverse, talked to the mechanic today, and they tell me it's a completely different part inside the valve body, called? transmission range sensor? is this the same as a solenoid? called automatic transmission valve body solenoid?
That I don't know. You'll need to pull the codes and do more research on troubleshooting. I can't find anything on a standalone torque converter solenoid on the 45RFE or 545RFE transmissions. That might mean this solenoid pack includes the TCC solenoid.
Not sure, I didn't research that far. It's possible that the newer solenoid pack would be less prone to going out over time. My original lasted almost 15 years, so I was ok with just replacing it with the same component.
Jeff...I know the video is a year old...I'm hoping you get this question. My 2006 Commander seems to be in limp mode. I took apart the TCM and used electrical contact cleaner as a 1st step. Didn't solve it. My thoughts are the TCM is shot or the Solenoid pack needs to be replaced. How did you pinpoint the problem when you had it?
I remember researching and being told it could be the TCM. I recently had a bank 1 sensor problem and the dealership told me it's almost always the TCM or PCM. Another mec told me it almost never is (turns out it wasn't, just a sensor issue). It seems like a rare thing for problems to be related to the TCM. Based off of other forums describing the same symptoms as my Jeep and the solenoid replacement fixing it, I went with that before attempting to mess with my TCM and it worked.
Jeff Weeks For my Commander, the TCM is extremely simple. Between the drive to the store to get the cleaner, taking out the TCM, cleaning the contacts, and putting it back together...about an hour. The problem for me...it is the easier part to try to fix the problem, but the, more expensive. The solenoid is less expensive, but more complicated. If I get the error code, will that pinpoint one issue vs the other?
Very true, less expensive, bigger pain to fix. When I got the codes one was OD PRESSURE SWITCH OPEN which is a fault in the solenoid pack itself. You should be able to retrieve the main codes yourself by turning your ignition on and off 3 times (that method works for my Jeep anyway)
I would liketo know what is the differentson the no# on to different valve bodys on the tranny 4617003-3, 4617003-3 what the differents between the to or they the same
I have a 1999 Grand Cherokee 6 cylinder 2WD. Suddenly it will not shift into either first or second gear. After having the transmission serviced, the mechanic told me one of the solenoids needs replacement. He claims no codes showed. He then told me the solenoid is on the very top of the transmission. By looking at your video, is it the actual "plate" that you removed where all the solenoids are located or some of them? I am trying to salvage my transmission rather than swapping it and pay a lot of money which I don't find it necessary. I hope you can help me. Thank you.
If you don't have any codes I don't know how to help you further. I know about this solenoid pack located on the top side of the valve body I removed. I don't know if this trans has other solenoids. Your problem may be related though as this solenoid pack controls putting the trans into gear.
IF the selector plate is not aligned properly. could it cause this issue? I changed the solenoid pack, I test drove and it defaults to 1st gear when it says drive, wont shift or shift manually. The check light is on. Question 2: The middle bolt of three in front on the plate that holds the pack, I broke and left off, OPINION: will this cause a problem? I guess I will let you know once figure out its current problem. Thanks for the vid.
PolyV Try disconnecting the Negative cable on your battery, wait about a minute before reconnecting. Also while you are waiting, depress the brake pedal and turn ignition switch to start then back to off. This will take out any residual voltage left in the computer. Reconnect cable, then start and take for test drive, you should now be out of limp mode, and trans should be shifting ok.
CAUTION!!! Newer ones have a bolt holding the electrical connector that needs to be removed or the unit will be destroyed, also they are 8mm but 5/16 works
Jeff Weeks There are a few different colors depending on where you bought the and the year, real easy to check, real expensive to break, I REALLY appreciate your video as I have shared it multiple times, just didn't notice before you didn't mention a bolt because your year doesn't have it. You can actually add 55RFE to the description as well because it is the same transmission (I know it's crazy) just different drive ratios. Here is a list of the cars with the 45RFE/55RFE 1999-2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee (4.7L) 2002-early 2003 Jeep Liberty (3.7L) 2000-2002 Dodge Dakota (4.7L) 2000-2002 Dodge Durango (4.7L) 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 (3.7L and 4.7L) 545RFE 2001-2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee (4.7L, 4.7L H.O., 5.7L Hemi) 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty (Diesel applications) 2003-2011 Dodge Ram (3.7L, 4.7L, 5.7L Hemi) 2005-2011 Dodge Power Wagon 2003-2011 Dodge Dakota (4.7L, 4.7L H.O.) 2003-2011 Dodge Durango (4.7L, 5.7L) 2006-2010 Jeep Commander (4.7L, 5.7L Hemi) 2007-2010 Jeep Wrangler (2.8 L CRD) 2007-present LTI/London Taxi Company TX4 Thanks again, I'm sure you have saved people countless dollars
how did you reconnect the connector, I have a dodge Durango same trans, I cleaned mine using your video but I can get the connector back on...please help! is there a trick to it? there is little room or visibility and I'm afraid to force it on.
It should go easily on. If the connector in the solenoid pack is white instead of black then you installed the wrong part and will need to get an adapter.
Hi i did the same thing you just did but unfortunately its just not starting. I have power but it dont just turn on. What to do could it be it wasn't in park position?
Yes it was the connection plug to the solenoid that wasnt in all the way. Plus i had debris in side of it as well. Take a air in a can blow it out and plug it back in to the solenoid and make sure the white wire connector is locked in and it should turn on.
Update, just changed mine and it fixed all my issues, I had no reverse lights and it was stuck in 3rd gear limp mode! Thanks again, I had the black connector one, the new one was a white connector style, it is an upgraded version according to the paperwork.
For the repair? It doesn't really matter what gear it's in, as long as when you reinstall it the selector plate matches where the shifter is. So I just kept it in park. I would do park or neutral.
Thanks Jeff. I have disconnected the wires, removed the square bolts, and the valve body is not dropping down. It feels like it is stuck on something...Any ideas?
Nestor Espinoza you have to make sure the shifter is realigned with the selector plate of it won't let you put it in gear. If the jeep is not shifting it may be in limp mode. Check for engine codes.
My jeep has been messed up for a few months (99 Grand Cherokee I6) and this is what i am going to have to do. Has your refurbished part held up? i cannot afford a 200$ part myself.
After starting the car and putting it into drive it would accelerate partially through first gear and then go into "limp mode" which is 3rd gear all the time, leading to slow acceleration and higher RPMs at road speeds. After getting down the road a little ways and when the transmission was warmer I could turn my car off and then back on and it would not go into limp mode. So my symptoms were not very severe but characteristic of the code it was throwing.
Jeff Weeks Have an 01 Durango, with 45RFE transmission limp mode seems to be 1st & 2nd, but no 3rd & 4th. Your video and info have helped me to find the problem, there is so little info out there for these transmissions.
Jeff Weeks Your video is helpful. What sucks is the price of that Damn Solenoid pack is more than it costs to actually rebuild the rest of the Transmission,
No it didn't require any PCM work. I read in a forum about someone's trans shifting a little hard for the first drive but then it relearned on its own. Mine drove great after the repair.
Thanks for this, I just called my local shop for an estimate and waiting to hear back on it. If it's insanely priced I'll be doing a DIY on it as well.
+Jeff Weeks Looking at $500 with new parts and install. I think I'm just going to have the shop do it, if I had a lift I would definitely just do it myself.
Are you talking about the TSR adapter plate? If you replace the solenoid pack with another original one (black connector, not white) then you won't need any adapters
hi people if you have a code p0700 all you need to do its change the Solenoid pack and the problem it's done because I did it already and I am so happy now just buy a new solenoid pack simple good luck people
Kleber Wayne the p0700 code is just telling u, u have a transmission problem..does not say what the prob is tho..my jeep said thw same on dash..but code reader says p0740..
After replacing the solenoid pack on my 2000 Grand Cherokee, the Jeep has power - lights, gauges and accessories - but will not crank. Anyone else experience this issue ? The installation went very smoothly so I was surprised with the result.
@@emanuelrodriguez10 ..i changed the solenoid pack and cleared codes..code never returned but unfortunately the engine blew a few days after the fix.heh..so i really cant tell u if it was a complete fix .sorry
Denny Digital if your vehicle is going into limp mode, then works normally after running it for a few minutes and restarting, it's probably your solenoid pack.
Jeff Weeks I have P0700 and p0116 plus I need a new motor mounts so far I have seen all you gentlemen on RUclips do the same thing to fix the issue so now it's my turn! thanks Jeff! God bless!
All the P0700 code is the engine control module telling you there is a code in the transmission control module. It could be something as simple as a $30 speed sensor. Mine has a P0740 code in the TCM for an open LR solenoid. Going to replace the solenoid pack tomorrow. Thanks for the video!
You're right about the P0700 being a pretty general code. For me having that code with the P1781 and the limp mode symptom was what led me to the solenoid pack. Is your P0740 on a 99-2000 JGC? Doesn't that have to do with the torque converter clutch circuit? Is that part of the solenoid pack?
Mine is on an 05 Ram 1500 with a 545rfe transmission. The code is for the torque converter lockup solenoid (the torque converter is not locking when it should). Going to replace the solenoid pack, and if that doesn't fix it it's probably the torque converter going bad.
My transmission has no codes but it is hard to shift the engine revs high then shifts then at around 4o ish same thing when it goes to shift again then after 50 it will not shift again I can't go faster then 50 help what's wrong.there are no error code

Is the part you are replacing in this video the same part that will resolve my "solenoid module neutral safety switch" issue; or are my Jeep WJ problems unrelated to your Jeep issues?

what do you think i don't do right ?
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The transmission stooped shifting two weeks ago. I replaced the two solenoids, wiring harness, tork converter and spring accumulator. However the transmission still is not shifting. Please advise.
Hey Jeff weeks I have a 06 jeep commander same trans I recently changed my solenoid but it still goes into limp mode at random times any advice
From the manual:
"Install the bolts (1) (Fig. 144) to hold the transmission solenoid/TRS assembly onto the valve body.
(4) Tighten the solenoid assembly screws adjacent
to the arrows cast into the bottom of the valve body
first. Tighten the screws to 5.7 N·m (50 in.lbs.).
(5) Tighten the remainder of the solenoid assembly
screws to 5.7 N·m (50 in.lbs.)."

Thanks for the video, actually helped alot
Could you use a power tool to remove those bolts?
I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee it makes a obnoxious rattle when in reverse could that be that solenoid to
I have a 2007 jeep grand Cherokee. Is the solenoid shift the same thing as what he's talking bout in the video?
Great video, really helped. When I got done, my truck would not start. It has power, but will not crank. Any ideas?
Hmm, not sure, since everything this project works on isn't related to the starter. Make sure you plug your connector back into the Trans. Other than that check your battery I guess? Good luck, glad the video helped.
It was my ECM! Got a different one installed and it started right up. Unfortunately it won't go into gear, so I think I installed the detent plate incorrectly.
Aw crap! That was the most nervous part of the repair for me. Glad you got the starting problem fixed though, surprised it was the ECM.
Ive got a P0750 error, I suspect it's the wiring because the error only occurs once every blue moon. If I'm goin in there should I just replace the whole damn solenoid or potentially save 300 bucks?
How do I know what trans I got
What symptoms were happening
Hello, I have a 2012 jeep compass, error code P0700, it does not change the transmission, will changing the valve body work? Please help me?
Did your new solenoid pack come coated/covered in ATF? Just received mine today and it was leaking out of the shipping box. Very good and helpful video BTW
Mine was dry, actually would've preferred it had been soaked it ATF as the moving parts were stuck (like those spring pins on the end of the arm)

Any ideas what all i should change
Thank you for postings this video!!!
Are they marked or easy to identify?
my gears are nt shifting right on time and trans is leaking oil
THX FOR VIDEO
was looking at these for several days
you are only one I could find the show connector on trans, how the latch works
no looked at mine yet, but was trying to see if you can tell if solenoid side is white or black plug before I order part
looks like I need to pop connector before I can tell color.
working on moms 2002 dodge ram 1500 2wd 4 door 4.7L
I have same but 2005
getting po750 code and it's intermittent, clear code and might drive ok for a week.
I should have black connector in the 2002 and white in 2005
but if I just assume and order without checking, I might just be out of luck if I order wrong part, lol
yea should be able to see the color of the plug when you release the connector
I have durango 09... And I have error code p0714... What part need change??
Bro, the problem was right there on the filter! That seal SHOULD NOT COME OUT WITH FILTER... Change my mind!
Does this solenoid pack come with a transducer or do i have to buy it separately?
if you mean the tranny oil temp sensor, yes it is built into the pack...
Thanks for the information. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to do this soon.
Just turned on my vehicle and shifted to drive and it was stuck in 3rd gear. It also doesn't shift
down at lower speeds unless you hit the gas significantly and there's some slop between gears.
Hi please help me my Jeep 2003 quadra drive grand cherokee only takes one gear, reverse even if you put it on drive it still reverse, what could be the problem?
Yes we need that adapter but can't find it anywhere
I would say just save yourself the hassle and get the original with the black connector, but if you want to get the newer white one then you will have to find the adapter plate and I don't know where to find that. Jeep forums offer a lot of help
great video I got 01 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 its will not shift I can only go 20mph but I'm not getting any trouble code any idea if its the solenoid pack or governor pressure solenoid?
Your jeep has the 545RFE Trans in it, not sure if that changes things or if they're similar enough. Everything I know is in this video for this type of problem.
thank jeff
Hey Jeff Weeks, have you heard since your video and even during your research of a 99 JGC 4.0L going into limp mode only when the low fuel indicator comes on?
Jason Lehmann no I didn't do any research on 4.0's. It's weird that the 2 would be linked since one is transmision and the other is fuel.
No its not the same. Plus I think a lot changed with the 2002 model so you need to check if you even have the same transmission as mine.
Did you have to reflash your computer "pcm" and did it have to re-learn itself with the new solenoid pack?
p1775/p0700 are coming up on my 05 jeep LJ..any help
This replaces all the solenoids? My 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee torque converter lockup solenoid is faulting on the highway.
That I don't know. You'll need to pull the codes and do more research on troubleshooting. I can't find anything on a standalone torque converter solenoid on the 45RFE or 545RFE transmissions. That might mean this solenoid pack includes the TCC solenoid.
@@jalandub Alright thank you. Do you happen to know if the 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the white plug or black plug or needs the additional bracket?
@@johnsmith3735 I think the white plug is the newer of the 2 so likely what your car is using. You'll want to confirm visually.
Any benefits to going to the newer/upgraded white plug pack?
I would liketo know what is the differentson the no# on to different valve bodys on the tranny 4617003-3, 4617003-3 what the differents between the to or they the same
reading about changing the solonoid some say you need to program the solonoid they refer to learning, did you do anything like that to yours
Clive Gar nope I just put it in and took it for a drive. It seemed to figure things out after driving for a bit.
@@jalandub hello again. on the code search, do i turn on and off the ignition like three times to obtain a code? i will try that now. thanks.
Is this a fix for error code 760 ?
CAUTION!!! Newer ones have a bolt holding the electrical connector that needs to be removed or the unit will be destroyed, also they are 8mm but 5/16 works
Cool thanks for the added detail. Are you talking about the newer white connectors?
Jeff Weeks
There are a few different colors depending on where you bought the and the year, real easy to check, real expensive to break, I REALLY appreciate your video as I have shared it multiple times, just didn't notice before you didn't mention a bolt because your year doesn't have it. You can actually add 55RFE to the description as well because it is the same transmission (I know it's crazy) just different drive ratios. Here is a list of the cars with the 45RFE/55RFE
1999-2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee (4.7L)
2002-early 2003 Jeep Liberty (3.7L)

Thanks again, I'm sure you have saved people countless dollars
+stevenlee92833 what models have this screw you're talking about? I bought mine from cascade transmissions
how did you reconnect the connector, I have a dodge Durango same trans, I cleaned mine using your video but I can get the connector back on...please help! is there a trick to it? there is little room or visibility and I'm afraid to force it on.
It should go easily on. If the connector in the solenoid pack is white instead of black then you installed the wrong part and will need to get an adapter.
+Jeff Weeks I got it on, I had it in the upward position, needed to be on down position then flipped up. Thanks.
Hi i did the same thing you just did but unfortunately its just not starting. I have power but it dont just turn on. What to do could it be it wasn't in park position?
I have the same problem.
Did you find a solution?
Yes it was the connection plug to the solenoid that wasnt in all the way. Plus i had debris in side of it as well. Take a air in a can blow it out and plug it back in to the solenoid and make sure the white wire connector is locked in and it should turn on.
So does this fix a p0700 with a p1781 code? It says OD pressure switch failure I have the same trans but in a Dakota.
Yes this is what I did to fix those codes.
Update, just changed mine and it fixed all my issues, I had no reverse lights and it was stuck in 3rd gear limp mode! Thanks again, I had the black connector one, the new one was a white connector style, it is an upgraded version according to the paperwork.
if you have an automatic transmission. What gear does it need to be in? Also, do you need to put it in 4L or leave in 2H?
For the repair? It doesn't really matter what gear it's in, as long as when you reinstall it the selector plate matches where the shifter is. So I just kept it in park. I would do park or neutral.
Thanks Jeff. I have disconnected the wires, removed the square bolts, and the valve body is not dropping down. It feels like it is stuck on something...Any ideas?
+Jer Cummings not sure. Those bolts are the only thing holding it in place as far as I know. Might just take some wiggling.
Excelent my friend
Hi I do this to my Dodge Ram and is not doing any shifts you don’t know what is the problem
Yep it's been running fine ever since. The refurbished part is going to cost you around $200 unless you go rip one off a junker
+Jeff Weeks Thanks for the information and the video.
What were the Symptoms you were experiencing when it went into "Limp" mode?
What sucks is the price of that Damn Solenoid pack is more than it costs to actually rebuild the rest of the Transmission,
Evil Plman I got a refurbished solenoid pack for only $200 on Ebay
P0846 is the code I got.... fluid pressure sensor circuit b
+Jake “Zebular” F they wanted $800+ to do mine
+Jeff Weeks Looking at $500 with new parts and install. I think I'm just going to have the shop do it, if I had a lift I would definitely just do it myself.
Great job!
I replaced a Solenoid pack in a 2002 300m and all went perfect but......now the car rolls in park!!! what did I do wrong?
Norman Kittle could be that the selector plate wasn't properly aligned with the shifter when reinstalled? That's my only guess
Where did you find the adapter plate?
Are you talking about the TSR adapter plate? If you replace the solenoid pack with another original one (black connector, not white) then you won't need any adapters
*TRS adapter plate
hi people if you have a code p0700 all you need to do its change the Solenoid pack and the problem it's done because I did it already and I am so happy now just buy a new solenoid pack simple good luck people
Kleber Wayne the p0700 code is just telling u, u have a transmission problem..does not say what the prob is tho..my jeep said thw same on dash..but code reader says p0740..

hey man thanks alot.....
Thanks
so this fixed the p0700 code? all I need to do is replace the solenoid pack?
Sorry I have no idea I'm not a transmission expert. I just know how to fix this haha
oh well I have no codes on the computer it just stopped shifting.
+SuperJeremi10 you have a internal mechanical problem if there are no codes. sorry but that means trans rebuild or replace.
