    Don't forget the option in the BIOS for the automatic startup after an error with the power input.

      How common is that bios setting? I have never seen it on home grade level motherboards.

    Might I ask what software you are using for streaming the video? Like you have two monitors capturing your camera

    • @Techdox

      Hey, I am not sure what you are referring to exactly, but I use OBS to capture my video and I use my iPhone for capturing the video you see of me and of the laptops. Tiny Pilot captures the laptop video and OBS is capturing that

    Question on running the laptop as server, the battery charger should be plugged in at all times, correct?

    • @Techdox
      @Techdox  Год назад +1

      Yes, and make sure you have a static IP Address

    And from here what? If we want a Pi-Hole installed on it, or some storage for faster sharing withing the network and so on?

    • @Techdox

      Well, that’s where my other videos come in for those installs. I have covered how to install pi hole as well as open media vault. I suggest using docker for these services

    I am thinking of having my 1st home server, from your experience, is it better to have it on a new mini pc or a new laptop?

    • @Techdox
      @Techdox  11 месяцев назад

      If you have the choice, a mini PC will do just fine, also depending on the specs.
      Either or is perfectly fine for a first home server though

    How would you remote access / remote control this server? (like for example, uploading and downloading files from/to it)

      Could add a VPN and use that for connecting to your home network

      @@UsmanTheDev Hey, it depends how you want to access it. If you want to access services you can use Cloudflare - ruclips.net/video/gpWo94XXrhU/видео.html
      VPN you can use - ruclips.net/video/QLL5lT0SDoQ/видео.html
