How To Make A Kids Trike

- My daughter recently turned 1 and for her birthday I made her a wooden tricycle. It's made from 3 different types of hardwood and the uses basic joinery techniques. She really liked the trike for a few minutes then got distracted, haha, but I'm hoping one day she gets the hang of it!
My name is Robin Lewis, I'm a part time furniture maker in Townsville, Australia. I've been making videos of my projects for a number of years and with support from people like you I've been able to grow my business. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video, I hope you enjoyed it.

Could you please share some masuremenets? - I'm thinking the length of the body, the length of the front fork, the width of the rear axel and the size of the wheels?...thanks in advance :-)

Hola Robin Lewis tengo un favor que pedirte ¿no tienes las dimensiones en algun bosquejo o plano que puedas compartirme? Muy bonito el triciclo.
Who's playing that cover of Cher's "Believe" in the background? Dig it.
Awesome mate, what a special project. Great idea on the removable seat and I think for a kids project the mix of timbers was really appealing.
Awesome job Robin! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Awesome mate. Looks like the nimbus 2000 off Harry Potter
This one is probably my favourite of your many fine builds Robin! Sensational on many levels but most of all, it was clearly made with love for your little daughter = Awesome!

It's far too late for me to make a tricycle for my daughters, but one can hope that he has grandchildren at some point.
what a lovely gift Rob, one of my most prized possessions is a little rocking chair that my grandfather made for me, its in desperate need of some restoration at the moment and one day I will get around to it.
Such a fine project. Someday she will remember the lovely things her dad built for her when she was a little girl, and that will bring back a lot of priceless memories. Good job!
beautiful work, you don't have any plans available for this do you?
side note - great music choices in the background from what I could hear between clips.
Thanks! Unfortunately no plans

Hi Robin, i've been looking for a trike for my little daughter, and found your video! I must've watched it 4 or 5 times! Now i'm in the process of getting some hard wood and after many years of inactivity, i may start using my basic woodworking tools in order to make a trike of my own. Hope i'll make it! Your video and craftmanship is a source of inspiration, keep up the great work and thanks!! Wishing you and your family, a great New Year's Day and a great new year!
Thanks very much, and good luck with the build. Hope you daughter loves it!
