It should be, but I don't think it is. For multiple reasons 1) Many Americans don't know what fascism is. They know it's bad, but other than that it's unclear, so it's not a convincing way to turn people away from Trump. 2) Americans think such accusations are just part of the the typical exaggerations that come from US campaigns. After decades of always calling the other side "Hitler" and "Anti-Christ", and it never being true, why should anyone care about this? 3) Even if they think Trump does have fascistic leanings, many believe our democratic institutions will hold and not allow Trump to abuse power to that extent (most Republican politicians belong in this group). 4) Many just on principle alone don't believe fascism can ever come to America. That's only something for other countries. The countries we go to war against. No matter how true it is, the people we need to convince will not take that seriously. That's what I think anyway.
You said something that I think is really the key… You need to tie the behavior to a consequence. But go one step further and show how that consequence will hurt others. If voters are going to have $4000 less for this, or 30% less of that and have to, forgo medical insurance… Show them how his actions affect their lives personally

It should be, but I don't think it is. For multiple reasons
1)
Many Americans don't know what fascism is. They know it's bad, but other than that it's unclear, so it's not a convincing way to turn people away from Trump.
2)
Americans think such accusations are just part of the the typical exaggerations that come from US campaigns. After decades of always calling the other side "Hitler" and "Anti-Christ", and it never being true, why should anyone care about this?
3)
Even if they think Trump does have fascistic leanings, many believe our democratic institutions will hold and not allow Trump to abuse power to that extent (most Republican politicians belong in this group).
4)
Many just on principle alone don't believe fascism can ever come to America. That's only something for other countries. The countries we go to war against.
No matter how true it is, the people we need to convince will not take that seriously. That's what I think anyway.

You said something that I think is really the key… You need to tie the behavior to a consequence. But go one step further and show how that consequence will hurt others. If voters are going to have $4000 less for this, or 30% less of that and have to, forgo medical insurance… Show them how his actions affect their lives personally
