  • An overview of the TALON Oil Filter Tool. Your saving grace when stubbornly stuck oil filter won't come off. safejacks.com/...
Stubbornly stuck-on oil filters are a real common problem and while there’s many methods of removal, not all of them can get the job done. You may end up mangling the oil can or causing damage to nearby components. The TALON oil filter tool was designed to remove even the most impossibly stuck oil filters after all conventional methods have failed. This is the latest version of the TALON and it’s the strongest and most effective yet. Made of solid steel with Grade 8 bolts, the TALON works by interfacing directly with the holes at the top of the oil can even in spaces where you have limited room to work. After the oil can has been drained and opened, you insert a ⅜ inch drive extension and ratchet into the center and twist it off normally. It might take some elbow grease and it’s bound to be a little messy, but it gets the job done!

We don't recommend this product for oil filters than can be removed in the conventional way. By the time people need this product, the oil can is generally crushed and this is a last resort!
