- Ever wondered how they create those terrifying zombies in movies? 🧟🎬 Creating a convincing zombie isn't easy, as it requires a special expertise and CELL Technical Art Studios are the masters. Working on hugely-popular zombie films such as ‘Train to Busan’, Netflix’s ‘Kingdom’ and many more, the small team have mastered the art of making rotting flesh.
And they don’t just do gore - they made props for Bong Joon-ho’s acclaimed films ‘Parasite’ and ‘Okja’.
The founder and CEO, Hwang Hyo-Kyun lives and breathes SFX, and has been deceiving audiences for more than twenty years. This cottage industry might be under threat by CGI, but Hwang’s team of experts are still in high demand.

Well Great Big Story, jiggle my cheesecakes, surprise surprise! My favorite zombie-themed movie is called “Inside Korea’s Zombie Factory” by Great Big Story, the plot, storyline, etc, is such an amazing experience! I’d say I’ve watched it 11 TIMES this week!

Chinese Jiang-Shi (zombie)
REC is still my favorite zombie movie. Followed closely by Train To Busan.
At 4:01 the film the host came out in 2006 not 2016 which is a minor footnote error but at 4:24 you guys listed the wrong movie. Sympathy for Mr.vengeance is the first movie in the vengeance trilogy. He’s talking about lady vengeance which is the third movie in the trilogy.

Sometimes, practical effects feel like a dying art. It's great to see that it's in its prime still somewhere in the world

Worked with multiple vfx coordinator and practical effects is still used everyday in almost all movies. They used it to integrate it with cgi either as a base or reference. So i won't say they're dying, but the way we use them is different.

Train to Busan is a great horror movie. The masses of extras done up in zombie makeup, and done well, you know there was a great team of make up artists behind it. Great work! 👏🏻🫶🏻👏🏻
