I understand this car design isn't for everyone. But having it for myself. I love it! This is the exact color and model I have. It's beautiful! Love this review. It gives it a really good perspective and all of its neat features. Now it might be because I'm a young owner of this car. But the design is so cool. It looks sporty if you see it that way. And I think even though the back can feel claustrophobic to some. It is my favorite part of this car. I love to have the feeling of having kind of my own space and feel like I have really good privacy to just lay back and relax. Overall. Love this car and I would love to drive it around some more!

I rented a hybrid version of this on the Island of Crete in Greece. This car was a pleasant surprise. Was able to handle 3 pieces of luggage with 4 passengers. I think it got over 40 mpg.
Never knew this model existed! Was one of the more powerful rental cars on the island. Handled mountain driving without a problem. (with air conditioner on)

Out of 37 cars I have owned, I had my CHR for 6 years now and IS the best car I had ever had 44 mpg in summer and with 10 degree weather 29.6+ I wish I could have sunroof. I cannot think of one thing I would change.

I got mine a few months ago. I know this car was supposed to be a Scion (I think that’s how you spell it?) and meant to speak to younger buyers. I’m just beginning to be an adult. Seems like it still holds true to that label. Anyway, I love it. I can say that it’s not the most fast or best performing compared to other Toyota line ups. But what it does bring is the funky style and unique personality. Personally, I don’t mind not having a high performing car. I just wanted a reliable car that sorta stands out from others. CHR is just that! And speaking of the back seats and the doors especially. Maybe it’s just me but the part that sold me on this one is the door in the back. I’m an introvert and what do most introverts like to do? Be in their own space and just chill while listening to music or reading or just reflecting on life. Sometimes I go to the back seat just to sit back and listen to music while I do all that thinking and reflecting. It just makes me feel safe and cozy like I’m in a cool safe cave. Anyway, I won’t ramble on anymore. But the point I’m making is that this car is worth it if you only just need and or want something that it just going to get you from point A to point B in a very efficient way and that still gives you a smooth ride and gives you a good talking piece from its styling. 🍀

I own a CHR and the only thing that I do not like is the interior storage it’s adequate for a single person, but when you start getting more than one person in the vehicle there’s hardly even room for another person to have a large drink doesn’t fit in any of the cup holders. Do not recommend this vehicle for families or if you’re going to have a lot of other people in the vehicle on a regular basis. It drives and handles very nice and excellent mpg. The electric adjustable seats on the limited editions are very comfortable some of the best seats on any vehicle I’ve ever owned. For a 2L 4cyl it has plenty of pep, I don’t have any issue with lane merge or getting up to speed, but you won’t be burning rubber in this car so if that’s what your looking for go with something with more torque. He’s 💯 right it a cooler looking Corolla that handles a bit better than others cars in its class. If you’re thinking about one of these go rent one or test drive it thoroughly it’s definitely not a performance vehicle so you’ll be let down if that’s what you’re purchasing it for. I do not regret buying a CHR and the value has held I can sell it now for more than I paid in 2020.

Great review Brian, I’ve always liked these for it’s different and standout styling. The CHR is a niche vehicle that I personally think the style of it was too radical for the average Toyota buyer and yes this was originally slated as a Scion til the brand was phased out unfortunately. Due you know if there will be another generation or will the Corolla Cross ultimately replace this? Thankyou!

I have a 22 highlander limited and I am looking to buy a smaller vehicle as a better daily and I was looking at these. I think this would be a great small car for me to get around town w/o dragging the highlander out. However; although , you say that's not a lot of blue, but for me. thats A LOT of blue and according to the website, XLE is the lowest trim you can get.....so I dunno...Maybe I'll be able to overlook it. I really like the car though. Just waiting to test drive it now and get in there and see how I like it....
