Oh boy. It usually takes me several hours to finish even the most basic picture, so this would've taken me at least three weeks! And I do like your finished results.

Haha thank you! Yeah weirdly enough I didn’t think it was THAT hard of a challenge until I was in the thick of it 😅 but definitely was fun to exercise my creativity muscle! The bird one was cool because it tells such a story with no words. I appreciate your kind words! 💜💜

it is so cool that you finished the sketchbook in only one day! My sketchbooks take like 6 months till it is full and they have 100 pages-

Wow! That was A LOT, well done! Finishing a sketchbook is a feat, let alone getting it all done in one day AND on a day you have to work.
I really love the variety of the pieces, with the mix of loose watercolour and some with fine line work.
Admittedly, doing it on a day I worked was not the smartest haha, but once I get excited to try something I’m not all that patient. And thank you! So glad you liked it. Makes it a little bit more worth it 😂💕

Definitely. All of these paintings were lovingly thought out, drawn, and painted.
I'm kind of the same way every inktober (although not nearly as good or fast). I KNOW I should keep things simple and straightforward if I want to do a lot in very little time, but I'm just so bad at that.
Every time my mind starts racing with new ideas for new subjects (requiring new references) and new approaches (requiring new skills).
In the end, I've decided to embrace it. Some of us just need to let our minds roam. 😉

@debbiedrawsfunny Haha, yep. Same here, also ADHD. Diagnosed in my forties, still trying to figure myself out. Luckily there is so much more information available online now, and especially the neurodiversity communities are so helpful (now that I've found them). Where before we thought we were the odd one out, we're now discovering that fellow ADHDers understand us easily (the same is true for autistic people, by the way).
Many (of my) healthcare providers only know and talk about the diagnostic criteria. Which doesn't help much in daily life to be honest. Plus their approach is often still focused on letting us fit in instead of helping us getting to know ourselves.
But I'm now finding out there is so much more that so many of us experience or struggle with. And that we try to help each other with. Which is way more productive and comforting.
@@RadishTheFool Yesssss. I’m 47 and got diagnosed in my early 30s. Tried meds, helped me focus but did not do my anxiety any favors. So that got dropped fast! I agree that the kind of help folks like is really need is better knowing, understanding, and accepting ourselves for who we are and how our brains work. Different, not worse, just not the same as the “normies”😅Glad you’re finding your way with all the available help we have out there now!🙌

Yeah I gave up on the moleskine watercolour sketchbook pretty early on too. The paper is terrible, no idea why so many watercolour sketchers recommend it.

Was rough lol
19 watercolor paintings in 24 hours is really good. I painted for 24 hours with acrylics and only got 7 done. I have done the one-day sketchbook and my own challenge #4hrSketchbook twice but the drawings in those are just downright horrible lol
It was definitely hard but also they were decently small paintings at least! Not sure how big/detailed your paintings were but 7 is definitely a great accomplishment!!
