Lenovo ThinkBook 15 Review! How does it stack up against the ACER or Dell?

Today we review the Lenovo ThinkBook laptop to see how it stacks up against the ACER Aspire 5 or the Dell Inspiron 15.
Our review unit was equipped with:
-16GB DDR4 RAM
-11th-gen i5
-512GB NVMe (user upgradable)
Bang for your buck the ThinkBook is equipped very well with modern tech that handles every day tasks and then some with poise and grace.
LCD: The LCD is bright, colorful (100% SRGB Gamut), has good angles (it's an IPS display), is FHD (1080p), and while you can't touch it, it's solid for movies, as there is no noticeable backlight bleed.
Keyboard: Great tactile feel, responsible as hell, full size with a num pad in case you're doing a lot of data entry, and has a backlight for when you're typing in the dark.
Trackpad: Small, standard with nothing that stands out, and does ghost a little. They could have done with a better trackpad in this unit.
I/O: They included Thunderbolt 4. 'nuff said.
Features: Wifi 6, Bluetooth, a decent webcam with a built in privacy shutter, finger print scanner, TB4 and USB-C charging. For the price they gave you a some decent bang for your buck.
Speakers: They distort and are on the tinny side. Classic laptop speakers and they aren't anything to write home about.
*Mobility*: 6 hours of practical battery life, but its made of good plastics and clocks in at about 3.75 lbs so traveling with it should be no problem.
Who is it for? Businesses on a budget. It's a good quality machine with god serviceability. The Think Pad is a better computer (depending on what version you buy) but its also much more expensive.

Yes. I got one but not the 15, mine is 14 inches one and pretty good to do my daily tasks. One thing is that the laptop itself is pretty heavier than I expected and it makes me feel like carrying a rock in my backpack with the charger. But overall, no laptop can compare at this price.
I've found a listing for around $470 for the i7 version of this with 16GB RAM and 512SSD. Seems very solid but I'm most concerned about future proofing since my country isn't big on Lenovo repairs, Dell and HP parts are more accessible so yeah, kinda torn on it.
Great deal but after market support is something to consider.

I like this machine. I want to buy one. The Gen 4 models all come with a blue light filter on the 100% sRGB screens. Did your machine have a blue light filter? I hate those filters. Is there any way to remove the effect of the filters and return to normal colors? This filter is preventing me from buying the machine.

Ours didn't have it. A lot of laptops are coming with them. I dont think there is a way to remove it because its baked in the glass or plastic of the screen :\
I am not finding this laptop anywhere. The link provided doesn't return this model. I have even tried the Lenovo website and they don't have it. I would have to customize which involves a 5 MONTH wait! I'm in school now, I can't wait that long. Unfortunate because I really want to buy this! Great video.

Quick summary: The only good thing with the laptop is the battery life probably because of its size. The speakers are wack, and I mean wack! the screen also has this terrible reflection, you always have to adjust the angle anytime you change position

Aha. I am planning to buy it and use a Docking station to connect 2 23 inch monitors. I have been wishing the little screen was not there. Now I can floatten it and it will not obstract the screen that matter! Thanks, man,

I've had nothing but problems since I bought this crap, constant crashes to blue screen, freezes on standby, and poor performance. Support has been a complete mess and got the computer in a worse state than how I delivered it. After several attempts of repair (basically changing the hole motherboard twice), it's been returned for the third time now and they couldn't even manage to return the computer with it's charging cable. And this is just half of the story. Lenovo absolutely suck on so many levels that I will never bye any of their products ever again. Be warned!
I've spotted you sending this exact same comment on a thinkbook 15 gen 3 ACL (AMD) review. While having a slow laptop sucks, it at least shouldn't be as bad as you said since modern processors are quite good.
Anyways, the comment above doesn't make much sense to me as this is an intel system.
