Clever name Royal Oak. Something exclusive at the top of the pile = royal. Something strong that lasts a long time = oak. - Exclusive strength. Good name for a luxury sports watch.

All of these beautiful Switzerland watches designs (such as Rolex, Patek and AP) unfortunately ended in almost Ponzi schemes at the moment, where in order to buy such watches their buyer has to buy a “package deal”, meaning to buy other watches brands that their appointed watch seller sells, to buy say an AP model, you need to buy that store second rank brands such as hublot, zenith, Jaeger etc in order for you to buy the watch you wanted to buy.
Don’t bother to queue for it as the system is fake and no matter how long you are in the queue for, you will never ever get any without buying other watches brands that the store selling.
Good selling strategy but bad for your brands because sooner or later people will catch up with what you truly is doing!

I've always loved Omega and Breitling watches but I have to get an AP Royal Oak when I turn 50! It's something about owning an AP that is priceless.

As a brand you should be welcoming new clients instead of just catering to existing customers. I understand this builds up more hype and exclusivity, but in the long-term this is off putting.

The word is used too often but in this case it is so true “Iconic” the Royal Oak has become part of our culture and our society. Stunningly beautiful today as it was 50 years ago.

Great video to showcase the history of royal oak by the personnel involved in the project. I think the octagon shape case is the most beautiful shape case because it is balance in view but yet not too simple like a square or circle.

@@JamesAlexander14 Obviously, not the first flower itself but that was the defining moment then as a whole over 150 million years, today and no doubt in the future. Just look at the art and poetry on them to know its significance.
