• How I'm Going to Sell ... -~-
Audemars Piguet is one of the biggest trendsetters in the world of horology. Their existence dates back to 1875 and since that time, they've often both created and later challenged the status quo when it comes to watch dimensions, metals, materials and more. I'll be going over some their most well known collections, why they're my favorite watch brand and why I expect they always will be.
💎 Find your next watch @ bit.ly/2Izyvun
In 1972 Audemars Piguet released the first luxury stainless steel sports watch. Conceptualized by Gerald Genta, the Royal Oak was designed to resemble an old school diver's helmet and its creation ushered in a new era for the watch world and for AP. While the Royal Oak, and later the Royal Oak Offshore, which I like to refer to as "the remix," have become staples within the Audemars Piguet brand, there's more to AP than just the Royal Oak.
If you've seen my videos, then you know that I love AP and I don't think you've ever seen this many watches on my desk.. ever. You're tuned into Episode 86 of What's On My Desk (WOMD) and if you love AP as much as I do then clearly, we should be best friends. 💘

You changed my mind on AP I never really liked them but the history in this video and your passion for them changed my mind. Thank you
You’ve never had , owned, held or could afford an ap. Gtfo
Thx for the video, I considered AP before, I loved the 1159 line, but they didn't discount enough for me to get one. I really liked the Millenary you showed. As always love that you show watches we wouldn't see ordinarily.
Thanks Jack
Wow! Thank you for posting this Roman. Really great to see so many amazing Royal Oaks and Offshores together for comparison. Thanks for the succinct history lesson too. Great video my friend! ✊
I am drooling. So many amazing pieces.
found your channel through Producer Michael where you mentioned this video. had to check it out myself! AP is my favorite brand as well and im working toward owning one. you gained a subscriber!
You probably dont care at all but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?
I was stupid forgot the login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Bronson Francis Instablaster ;)
@Jayceon Judson Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Jayceon Judson It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my account :D
@Bronson Francis You are welcome xD
My favourite brand by a long shot . Great presentation
thanks!
Always admired the A.P and you speak passionate about them ,kudos to you , respect 🇬🇧
Not to mention Jean Claud’e Biever was an oversight to be sure. Although not my favorite brand they have my mad respect for all they’ve done. I think the dials are the most incredible of all.
Bro couldn’t be more hyped to do this video. Excitement level 10.
Very nice historic presentation, Roman.
Thanks for providing the history behind these stunning APs. One of my favorite brands.😊
Love AP, just an admirer currently. Would love you own one some day
This was a great survey of AP. Your enthusiasm about AP as a brand is contagious. While you respectfully never hit people over the head with “buy from Luxury Bazaar,” this demonstration of the depth of LB’s AP inventory impressed upon me that, if I ever wanted to buy an AP (or other luxury watch brands), LB would be a seller that I would want to contact. I live in Arizona and the closest retail source for AP is in Las Vegas at the Westime AP boutique or Venitzia or over in Los Angeles or La Jolla. Dealing with LB would likely be more competitive and more convenient as I could do business with LB from the comfort of my easy chair.
Howard thank you for the kind words!
Ap for life....thats the sickest collection of AP i've seen so far. Mad respect to you roman cheers and have a great year.
Great video Roman & sick collection of AP,,s i can only dream :)
thanks Carl
This is wonderful. I just took delivery of a rosegold 15400. Put it on a RubberB strap to dress it down a bit. When I look at it I seriously just fall in love like I’ve rarely done with any watch. It’s not about the price it’s the aura of the watch.
agreed!
Jealous is the only word .. I got for you ... wish I had one Audemars...maybe one day 10 years away .. good collection brother.. well deserved for your hard work ...
Informative and well done video. I get my first AP in a week. Can’t stop watching these videos I’m so excited. After all these years, it’s finally happening.
Thanks Xena and congrats, which AP?
Came here after seeing an incredible AP on Producer Michael's channel. Impressive knowledge.
Very cool collection and inventory ! I totally agree ! It’s a very exciting time to be an ap fan!
indeed!
Nice video Roman, your passion for this brands makes you light up like a child waiting for presents Christmas Eve 😊👌🏻
indeed!
One of the best of your videos...
AP should do a Roman Sharf edition of the royal Oak, you are probably the best ambassador for the brand. You can choose to wear anything you want and yet you still favours the brand.
AP is not my favourite brand but through your infectious passion for them I have come to really appreciate them.
Thanks Roman for another great video.
Thanks Kam!
I do appreciate the Herman Miller Aeron your sitting on, exquisite taste. 👍🏾
Great video.
I bought my first gold watch because of this channel.
A beautiful 18 Carat solid rolled gold Oris.
I love it and will never sell it.
The RO perpetuals in ceramic are mind bogglin!! As well as the one with the green dial, ltd. edition I think it is. Just amazing
Such a great educational page!!!
Great review Roman! I love AP and its my favorite brand as well. I have a Safari circa 2010 on leather hornback strap and recently picked up a ruthenium dial 15400. I think the bracelet on that watch is sublime. Love the highly polished facets and how the light reflects off them.
Entertaining and educational! AP is now my new favorite watch! For all of the same reasons you like them I do too!
thank you!
Royal oak is a grail for me really want to get a black dial with date hope to get one in the not to distance future love the channel keep up the great work!
glad you mentioned the quartz AP
My fav watch brand indeed is AP. Thanks roman for the knowledge sharing. For me to buy 1 AP will take years of grinding. As of now, im just proud of myself having to buy my 1st automatic watch from seiko which cost 800sgd. Save up and work overtime to get myself that watch. My next gold to achieve is 1pc of AP. Just a simple pc. Well.. i enjoy all your vids and keep up the good work. Lots of love from singapore.
Thank you for this...
I really like those videos in the "history" series. Very informative an pleasant to watch.
AP has caught my attention ….beautiful design
I’m obsessed with AP!
Great Video as usual. Great AP collection. AP is one my favorite brands and just exact your recommended video is the history of Seiko which is another favorite brand of mine for the more affordable watch range. :) Just went to Patek's Grand Exhibition here in Singapore and how I would love it if AP did the same thing here. :)
thank you!
Great video as usual, AP is great and it was awesome how you did the short history on the brand. I think it would be nice where you can do pick a brand and do this maybe once a month. I believe that the more info there is out on a brand, the more popular it becomes. Breguet is in my top 3, maybe you can do that brand next?
On a side note, don't really understand all the hype about the Lebron. Any input? Thanks as always.
noted will do I love Breguet, on the lebron its just a great looking watch
Roman love your channel, very interesting info, 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🤙🏼
He knows his stuff.
Loved this episode RS like I do all your VLOGS. I think 💭 after collecting for 23 years AP is a brand that I grew into as I matured, I think I have mentioned my story as I always would wear Rolex, Panerai & Hublot while my mates had AP’s, they would call my Hublot the poor mans AP. My first AP was the Panda 🐼 with two different bands (bracelet & F1) but I found it hard to adjust to the size after wearing larger sized watches. But as I matured, and my budget increased I moved into a different price category GP & AP became my favourite brands to this day. My two favourite watches that I have had for sometime now & are always in my rotation are my AP ‘Survivor’ which I would swim 🏊♂️ in the ocean 🌊 everyday with for about 5 years straight & the other is my GP Constant Escapement. All my AP’s in precious metals have been taken my the three women in my life - wife & two daughters, so as a family we are most definitely an AP household.
Discovered you through Producer Michael's channel, blown away by you and your knowledge.
Subscribed.
Love the episode Roman. Keep up the awesome content. Love AP but unfortunately don’t own one yet. Still trying to determine which reference to get.
Thank you Brian
Greetings Roman! An elaborate and thorough history of AP. Educational yet entertaining. Well executed!
As an AP fanboy with several timepieces in my collection, I've always had a question around case back serial numbers. I understand the Alpha##### (e.g., K31352) sequence, since the initial Alpha characterizes a "manufactured on" year range. However, a couple of my watches possess an AlphaAlpha####Alpha (e.g., WN3865R) and I struggle to understand 1) why different formats are utilized by AP and 2) how to interpret AlphaAlpha####Alpha serial numbers. Thanking you in advance for your insight & expertise!
Hey Suzuki, thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the History of AP Video. Please redirect this question to romansharf@luxurybazaar.com and I'll be glad to get back to you.
What up Roman. Always look forward to seeing your weekly new videos. Ap and pp all day! I buy what I like first and far most and so far my small collection have gone up in value. It’s a good feeling to buy something u love and it’s worth somethin more as time passes. With that being said, I recently picked up my first Rolex (Daytona 118506 yellow/green dial) for over msrp a couple months ago assuming it’ll go up more later on. A bit disappointed that the value have gone down on it some. Wanted to kno what future u think that particularly Daytona will have later on (I kno ya don’t have a glass ball or anything 😃). Roman and company, keep up the good work y’all!
116508******
Oh yea. I forgot to mention that 2 days after I got the Daytona, my local AD called me and said I’ll b next to get it 🤦🏻♂️. Are they releasing a lot at one time making the value go down on it some in the grey market?
I have to say that AP is close to if not my favourite brand, and the great thing is....I don't know why, I can't put my finger on it.
AP Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar
Was the big dawg when I got started wish I still had one that cheap
Love your videos
Thank you
I would love to see you do other watch brands history like you did this one. More specifically like IWC and Omega.
Royal Oak was put on the map, when the Shah of Iran ordered the first white gold version
Did not know that
My favourite brand too. I currently own a ceramic bezel ROO & I’m on the hunt for a regular ‘plain Jane’ RO 👌
Love thanks buddy
OMG YOUR MAKING ME WANT AN AP SO BAD AN YOU JUST MADE ME WANT ONE EVEN MORE. ONE DAY HOPEFULLY GOD WILLING ILL BE IN THE POSITION TO AFFORD ONE. THANKS ROMAN
Rolex got me into watches and you got me into AP, God bless you!! 😄😎
Hey Roman, Thank you for sharing with us again. I've gone through and now watched all your videos haha. On the topic of History of AP(which also is my favourite brand). I've slowly collected a few AP RO over the years and now have my eye on buying a Yves Klein dial RO. Not enough information online and would like to hear what you say on them OR if there are unique dial variations not very well known to the public!
Also which HK trade show will you be in next? Would love to meet and say hi to you! Thanks Yee
I love the dial, the only draw back its a 36mm, next time in HK for me will be in march
Roman Sharf thanks for getting back to me.
Nice video again Roman. Congratulations on your collection of original APs. This is just my opinion but I love the day-date ROs as well as the tourb Offshores you showed. The new ceramic skeleton perpetual is just stunning as well.
thanks Steve
26065is is my favorite keep it up
My current collection comprises of some high end luxury watches but for some reason Audemars Piguet just don’t sing to me. If I had to choose, my favourite was the blue dial, 39mm Dual Time.
as they say to each is own :-)
Hi Roman just got introduced to your channel from ProducerMichael. Cant stop watching the channel. Quick question is the 15500 blue dial really only boutique?
In Australia Melbourne we can't get AP services. They have to be sent offshore to Singapore. It's a nightmare.
15202st is the greatest wristwatch ever made! I don’t want to call it my grail watch as I already own it but if I were to just have one watch that would be the only one I keep!
Some day I hope to make enough money to be able to afford an audemars piguet watch!!!
Amazing video about Ap History, can you do another video with the whole limited edition Royale Oak offshore 🙏🏻
Thanks Sari and hey, that's not a bad idea! :) I'll add it to my video ideas list.
Good content
Thank you for this video
Please focus on AP 5072 VZSS classic ❤
Hey Roman, I know dress watches are not the best sellers nowadays but any chance you could do a “What’s on my desk” featuring haute horology dress watches? Thanks.
Sure thing Gary
Roman would you suggest an AP for someone's first ultra luxury watch? I am in the market for a new watch (new to me but I am obviously open to after market watches) and am considering either a two tone Rolex skydweller or a used AP offshore. My concern is that the AP may be less reliable (more delicate) and more difficult to service down the road. My budget is in the $13-18K range and since this will be my one and only luxury watch for the foreseeable future I would love your opinion on my narrowed down choice of 2 watches. I currently have a Breitling chronomat that I got 20+ years ago when I got my first real paycheck and I have worn it every day since. I realize Breitling is not what it used to be, back then this watch was considered pretty nice and the brand was respected obviously much more than now. Nevertheless, I think it's time for a new watch. Thanks again for your great RUclips channel and your expert advice and wisdom.
you know I am biased, so i am going to say AP, and dont worry about the serviece end of things AP will measure up just fine to Rolex in terms of durability
Roman Sharf what price should I be expecting to pay? Can you recommend a good option in year/color that’s a particularly good value? I have a good size wrist if that’s an issue, about 8 inches.
Roman Bro, I just realized you got your info from WIKIPEDIA. especially the Athletes that wore AP. Good, Atleast you did some homework. Cheers Bro. Love your channel
Great video, Roman! Enjoyed this on my favorite watch brand as always!
Do you happen to know if there are any 15400 Two Tones with a black / blue dial variant out there? If so, these seem to be rare birds?
This made me want an AP bad
You forgot to mention the Terminator series!
yes!
Great content. Your knowledge on the brand is impressive. Since your know so much, maybe you can help me out. I'm on the waiting list for the blue 15202 but currently have the chance to buy the blue 15300. I dunno how much longer i have to wait, should i just get the older piece?
how much is the 15300 ?
@@RomanSharf around usd25k, 2008 piece with box n papers
@@shaifulothman7442 thats the market on them now, but you are buying in a high market keep in mind
Roman I love your videos first of all I’ve been following you for years I’ve been wearing Rolex for 40 years and I am looking to purchase ap. For the first time very exciting on the hunt for my 39 mm chronograph Royal Oak wish me luck if you have one please let me know
Why do some have plastic wrap on them, to keep dust off?
You should do history of rolex
Sure
Nice history of Audemars Piguet, I like AP Royal Oak, Royal Oak Offshore, Jules Audemars and Millenary model. I like AP superstars line like Michael Schumacher, Carlos Montoya, Lebron James and Arnold Schwazenneger.
thanks Mena
Amazing inventory Roman, wondering how much $ on that table
stunning, but I would like to have one which I like, and I dont see it here I think
How many millions on that table
:-)
Why are the watches put on the crown doesn’t damage the watch in some way??!!
If buying a watch privately, how can you rest assured that the watch is real (for that matter, even buying from a non-AD).
👏🏼
Very impressed by your collection. Especially the original two Royal Oaks and the Offshore. I hope you get the chance to pick up the missing gold version to complete the set anytime soon.
Please never sell those original pieces. It would be a shame to break them up again. Keep them together and enjoy them for the rest of your life. It should be fun. ;-)
Yes thats always the plan until someone takes it off my wrist
Didnt Arnold Schwarzenegger make a Off Shore?
You know your pieces I bet u go to bed saying numbers in your sleep lol.Huge Congrats to the team tell Machine Gun Chris im bug fan i admire his work ethic n the move he made to gwt there!Im your guys biggest fan forget what they tellin ya lol. When you do your job right ,people will fall in luv w your personality and work n drive.!!!You inspire a ton of young men ,you inspire them to get out there n get whats theirs w no fear! LUV You Guys n Gals!!!🤟🤘❤😎😁🥇👌👍⌚👏🙏
AP's also my favorite brand. Surprised you didnt show the openworked perp calendar 39mm. That thing's gorgeous!
In relation to the brand, why does it seem like it has one of THE highest servicing costs among all brands (correct me if im wrong)?
EJ Trinidad how much can u get my the ap EJ mentioned?
not really most brands charge an arm and a leg!
Do people mind that they are scratched?
on the wall you have 500 USD worth painting. omg
The thing is... they only make one watch.
ive seen you double up watches at least 4 times Roman lol
It’s not criquet it’s cricket.... it’s a huge sport and you always mispronounce it! 🤣 think Jiminy! Love your vids Roman!👍
Vocal fry much?
So that’s how you pronounce that! (Go Eagles!)
me
😍🔥🔥🔥😍
your watches are in nylon? wtf??!
this collection is senceles since you can ware each watch for 7 days/year and it cists 30.000 euros. sad vay to spend money in life. very, very, very sad
If you had 1, 2, 3, even 4 OK but this is bullshit
i am sorry but this brand looks like cheap chinese watch!
Can we do something about the 2001 jelled spiked Mohawk ? 😂 only thing I can’t stand about this man
