With around $120k invested in Palantir stocks, any suggestions for additional stocks to diversify across various markets? Looking for a well-rounded portfolio that balances risk aversion with returns meeting yearly inflation concerns.
Absolutely crucial in the stock market: information, insight, and predictability. As an early investor in NVDA, AMD, ANSS, and LRCX, my advisor's guidance was invaluable.
People often underestimate financial advisors' importance. Over 50 years of data reveal that those who work with advisors typically earn more than those who go it alone. I've been fortunate to work with one for 13 years, resulting in a $1 million portfolio, largely from early investments in AI and other growth stocks.
I am also looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. What's your take on this approach? and How can i reach her, if you don't mind me asking?
Marco!! You’re spot on man with everything you said! I own aquanaut 5167A and paid over double retail for it as well as a few modern Cartiers. The Aquanaut is not worth the money although I love it. It’s just that I wanted a sports watch from Patek to add to the complication and grand complications that I have as well as a Calatrava and an Ellipse and couldn’t justify the price of a Nautilus. I love rubber straps and use after market ones for all my Rolex watches cuz it makes the wearing experience much nicer, therefore I bought that Aquanaut. I never got into the rabbit hole of vintage Cartier for the exact reason you mentioned, which is the quality of their movements and water resistance that makes the watch unwearable. I got into ordering those pieces from the new catalog that is not available for most people. I find the crash a hype watch and probably one of the least appealing designs from Cartier. RM prices are not justifiable and I don’t think it’s just the RM11, it’s just all not justifiable and I’m mind boggled about why these watches cost so much regardless of the innovation and material. Growing up in the Middle East and living for over a decade in Dubai, I still never understood why these Omani Khanjar stamped on a dial or engraved on the case back should make any difference at all in the price. Well I think the same concept applies to Tiffany or Gueblin stamps too. It’s just an excuse and a hype created by grey market dealers to maximise their profit. Roger Smith is overpriced and is not worth the money. I appreciate his art but I believe he is charging too much for it. Great content! I’m a big fan. Good luck.
But didn't Patek come out recently declaring their water-resistance to be *actual* water resistance, and not the pressurized equivalent? Meaning that their 30m means you can actually dive to 30m with it ...
Completely agree with the 5167, coming from someone that owned it. A 3rd generation Overseas or an AP15300 is much more watch for the money. One in particular to me that I can't comprehend the secondary value is the Daytona LeMans. I've never handled one, but this piece goes for about triple retail. Great vid Marco.
The regular Daytona has the lowest supply out of the Rolex pro range, so the LM which is the rarest of Daytonas with a very limited production (the white gold 126529 was discontinued after less than a year, and the current yellow gold 126528 has only been around for less than 6 months and appears to be even more scarce), it's no surprise. And the celebration story, open caseback and revised 4132 movement all add to the hype. Completely agree with the 5167. I've tried one on and although it wears well and has amazing finishing on the movement and case as you'd expect from Patek, it still feels very underwhelming. I find it expensive for MSRP (basically the price of a pre-owned 126500...), let alone for twice MSRP. But with that said I don't think "value" is ever a valid point when it comes to luxury goods. They aren't necessities, you buy what you love at the price you can stomach. You will always find a watch with a better value proposition, all the way down to a Casio F91W.
Thank you for the continued support brother! The Lemans is nice but definitely don't understand triple retail lol. But I guess it doesn't matter as I will never be able to afford one lol. Appreciate you 🙏

Marco, I couldn't agree more as a watch collector. Regarding the 5167A I never owned one but i have a 5168G in blue and i almost never wear it because it just doesn't do anything for me. Thankfully, i got it retail from my AD though.
Obviously you are very safe having bought it from your AD. 5168 is a great watch but I just don't see it being worth $70k+ on the secondary market. Just not my thing personally. Glad you enjoyed this 🙏
@MarcoFerranteWatches fyi, I had purchased a few nice VCs from Burdeens including an overseas perpetual skeleton in rose with blue dial (or whatever dial is left)
Thank you for sharing your bold, honest and courageous opinion. I am so glad to hear that there is at least one more person who has similar opinion as mine:)
Interesting choices. Totally agree on the Aquanaut. Valuations getting a free ride off of the Nautilus unavailability. It is a nicely molded rubber strap though 🤣
Hey Marco, Great video. Tiffany stamped watches, especially Patek? Future secondary prices on the Cubitus? Not the same hype as Nautilus secondary prices in a year or so? Keep up the good work.
Tiffany Stamp, Gubelin stamp and others are objectively rare and not done often so I understand the premium even if I wouldn't pay it. Hard to know future of Cubitus. Thank you for the continued support 🙏
Have to agree re: Cartier. Like there’s nothing wrong with them, but they’re so trendy it would hard for them not to be overrated. And, yeah, I don’t understand the Aquanaut secondary market prices. But I also don’t understand why grey market Daytona’s trade at roughly the same prices as VC Overseas Chronographs.
I think the key takeaway would be to stick with the icons and classics within the brand. Cartier would be the Tank and Santos. Patek would be the Nautilus in a complication and any perpetual calendar chronograph or minute repeater. Rolex has quite a few icons but the best would be Daytona and Submariner. I could go on and on.
Totally agree with you. I'd take an Overseas over an aquanaut any day of the week and it comes with a bracelet, rubber and leather strap lol. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Another way of looking at the aquanaut and the Nautilus is comparing it to the sub vs gmt. The gmt is pretty much the same watch as the sub just different bezel and gmt hand yet sells almost double retail grey market with the Pepsi and batman. I look at the aquanaut like an alternative to the nautilus for folks who don't want an integrated bracelet but still want Patek prominence that's wearable everyday. That clearly comes with a cost. It's a great addition and alternative to all the dress watch only ethos that Patek have.
I do feel this comparison is apt although I'd say the Sub is more iconic than the GMT while the Aquanaut is not more iconic than the Nautilus. But your point is not lost on me and I don't disagree. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Could not agree more! 5170P I believe is now around the same price as a 5711 blue dial and that should flat out be a crime against humanity as I think the 5170P is one of the most beautiful Pateks ever made. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
The only think I can add regarding RM, when you are wearing other beautiful watches, people look at the watch, when you wear an RM, people look at the man. That’s the value. Personally I prefer my watches underrated and would rather that no one knows what I’m wearing, except for Cartier. Can’t help but love their designs. The Santos and the Tank are perfection.
Absolutely love the Odysseus! This may be surprising but my favorite is actually the white gold version on rubber. Cheaper and better than an Aquanaut!! Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Under rated and value priced pieces would include: 36mm Rolex Day-Date double quickset ref. 18238, 36mm DateJust pieces from mid-eighties to late nineties in steel or 18k/steel, 90’s-early 2000’s Omega Speedmasters and those years in Patek annual calendars ☝🏻😉
I wonder if anyone here has ever seen an RM in person/ tried one on etc. Marco is astute enough to recognize the innovation they’ve brought to the industry. Only commenting on a small segment of their offerings negatively.
some controversial choices. But this was a good video. You have good reasoning behind all your opinions. Even if a lot of these models collectors are very fond of.
Another great video. I wholeheartedly agree with your analysis. The time only nautilus is insanely overpriced even at it's retail price. I basically dislike all Richard Mille watches, I think they are ugly as can be but do have some interesting technology but the 11 is really bad when a basic movement is used. I was a little shocked to hear that Roger Smith watches had reached that level of price. I am a huge fan of Roger Smith watches, the quality is as good as it gets but the last time I looked at prices, which was a couple years ago, the 3 hand watch with a date was in they $175k range. Now they are $400k+, that seems a little outrageous and also the last time I heard, they were making 12 watches a year, is it really 12 a month now? Anyway, another spot on video.
I think my numbers were inaccurate in terms of production of Roger Smith. I know he expanded his workforce and is able to make more than 1 watch per month but supposedly it is no more than 3 watches per month. I think that solidifies my point even further despite me getting the figures incorrect in the video. And totally agree the price is simply outrageous now. Thank you for the support on the video 🙏
Excerpt from a watch magazine- a bit of a pushback on the anti outsourced movement view: “the aesthetics and materials of the RMCA4 are vastly different from its base - with largely skeletonised components, the usage of titanium for the bridges, and a plethora of custom components such as its variable geometry winding rotor. Nonetheless, the VMF 6710 is its foundation. So both the base and how Richard Mille ran with it, deserve huge props and offer a perfect example of how purely in-house can be overrated and how a manufacture can make a sourced design very much their own.”
Regardless, the base movement - no matter how modified - is still a Parmigiani movement. I have no trouble using an off the shelf movement. I do have a problem paying $150k for such a watch. Just my opinion. Personally I do not care for the "In-House" movement craze. I think it is ridiculous. Hope my point is not lost on you and hope you enjoyed this video 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatches I gotcha but isn’t a heavily reworked version of a high quality movement a high quality product? Just bought a current release of the RM 010 with the Vaucher movement. Feel like you do that the in house thing is overrated which I why I’m ok with this type of collaboration.
Richard Mille look like watches off Temu, with thousands of Chinese me too examples. It does not ooze class. It’s intersting, I’m not as convinced by secondary prices. A friend of mine struggled to find a shop that was willing to buy his.
Haha fair enough. I totally disagree but respect your opinion. Richard Mille is still quite liquid on the secondary market, it just depends on pricepoints. There is a big range in terms of what most dealers feel comfortable stocking these watches at. Hope you enjoyed this video 🙏
Dont care for skeleton watches at all, exposed back case fine it is not even a watch at this pt. The hands are almost invisible. The Aquanaut is simple & gorgeous but not above 30k. My opinion
I don’t understand why you think that the rarity of Roger W. Smith watches is somehow in tension with their prices climbing into the stratosphere. I would think those two facts are directly correlated.
@@MarcoFerranteWatchesdon’t get me wrong, the GMT function definitely has a one up on the sub, but the monochrome look of the sub allows it to be worn with anything. The colourful bezel of the GMT does restrict it just a little.
I’ve owned a Cartier Tank Chronograph and Rolex Daytona for over 15 years and had never owned or tried on any other higher end brands until about 6 months ago. I was in a high end grey market dealer KK in Mayfair and I got to try on a Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph in Rose gold with the brown dial and strap and was extremely impressed. I then went into AP in Harrods a couple of months ago and got to try on 2 Different Royal Oaks and got to register my interest in them (they may never arrive 😂) I have to say that the service that I received in the AP boutique there was 2nd to none.
That's surprising regarding AP and I'm glad to hear it! The Aquanaut chronos are really nice. I've handled all of them except for the rose gold model and was always impressed. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Keep up the great work, Marco. Agree with your thoughts on the Patek pieces. I'd go with proper complications when getting this brand but not time only pieces.
Rolex rides on its history and marketing more than on their products. The only Rolex I like are some Datejust models. I just dont understand what people see in those Submariners, OP, Airkings, etc... And I have seen some in real life, either on the wrist of someone or in a Boutique.
RW Smith makes 10-12 watches per year - and his order book is full for the remainder of his life. The prices kind of make sense when demand is that high...
That simply isn't the case. He produces multiple watches per month as he's expanded his atelier and his order book is open again as many customers have cancelled their order due to the price increases.
I see a better case for RM011 than 11-03. Classic ti RM011 is such a cleaner design and has much stronger ties to the original design ethos than the 03. But then again those watches were $50k at one point while 5712's were also $20k-30k at the time. I don't think it's fair to criticize RM pricing and then praise the 5712 at it's current price since both have benefited from the same type of price action over the same period.
That Aquanaut doesnt even changes date instantaneous which is not acceptable by the brand which has a history of nearly 200 years and been the most prestigious watch brand
Talking "worth it/not worth it" on luxury watches is useless. The production cost of a luxury watch is only around 10-15% of the retail price. Looking at the fact all are "not worth it" and "overrated". What really determine the value is not the complications, material, design, etc but the "story" that people believe about the watch for whatever reasons.
Why do you apologise in the first place? Are you affraid of someone? You seem to have first hand experience with them, thats more than most of us here can claim.
i think all luxury watches are overrated and overpriced. we are talking about "watches" that should at least serve the purpose of accurately telling the time consistently; 99% of the mechanical watches have no chance of winning that competition against even the most basic quartz watch like a f91w or a swatch. ergo i would say these luxury watches only serve the purpose of social status display or, to be more frank, to fill our ego. i myself love these overpriced garbages, and bought one santos retail early this year (not stupidly expensive, but are still, imo, waste of money), but my point is that it's hard to argue one luxury watch is overpriced and one isn't, as they all are, in an objective sense. we should just buy whatever we like as long as they are well within our budget.
The most over-rated watch brand is Rolex for the price regardless of the model. There are tons of videos on RUclips comparing the built quality to $200 chinese watches, and Rolex loses the competition. If a steel Rolex was $3000 watch, then it was a great purchase.
Dude, you have to stop apologizing. You undermine your own credibility when you keep saying "just my opinion," "for me personally," "you may see it differently," etc etc etc. We get it: it's YOUR opinion. Give it a rest...
How about underpriced and underrated... That's more where I'm shopping at 😂

Vintage Cartier is crazy over hyped, agreed.
Still love the content around that market though. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
@MarcoFerranteWatches Absolutely! I think it's great you tackle all sides of the trade
Agreed about the khanjar and how certain dealers pump those up
Luxury bazaar bought up and pushing these.
Thank you, hope you enjoyed this video 🙏
RM's claim to fame seems to be that they are really really expensive.
It has definitely become an F U money watch for sure. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Agreed 100% finally someone speaks logically
Thank you! 🙏
THIS IS A VIDEO WHICH HAS GOOD INFO
SURE - WILL AVOID THESE WATCHES
KEEP UP THESE GOOD VIDS
Thank you! 🙏
Dont care for skeleton watches at all, exposed back case fine it is not even a watch at this pt. The hands are almost invisible. The Aquanaut is simple & gorgeous but not above 30k. My opinion
Very fair assessment. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Good video, you should give an alternative choice.
Thank you brother! Underrated brands and models video is coming up!! Please stay tuned 🙏
Great video, way to take a stand on these overrated pieces. I can add 5 more. Keep it up!
Thank you for the support! 🙏
Why don’t you work for LB anymore?
Daytona is overrated as hell; an unusable chronograph with screw-down button, obnoxious look, overall 2 out 10 from me.
Totally fair, I personally would disagree but I respect your opinion. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatchesWhy do you disagree with him?
IMO, I don't like the over-polishing either.
Great video
*do an underrated watches one*
I don’t understand why you think that the rarity of Roger W. Smith watches is somehow in tension with their prices climbing into the stratosphere. I would think those two facts are directly correlated.
He talking about retail price, not market value. There’s no way you can justify $400,000 selling a Roger Smith considering the lackluster finishing.
@@Doggo-frencton You are correct, not talking market but rather current retail which is frankly absurd for a time only watch in my opinion
The best value for money watch you can buy is the standard Rolex Sub Date. Hands down the greatest do it all watch ever made.
Couldn’t have said it any better.
It is hard for me to disagree although I would personally choose the GMT. I am just very biased towards it. Regardless I hope you enjoyed this video 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatchesdon’t get me wrong, the GMT function definitely has a one up on the sub, but the monochrome look of the sub allows it to be worn with anything. The colourful bezel of the GMT does restrict it just a little.
One of the most boring watches Rolex has to offer? So much money for an unelegant divewatch. Datejust beats the Sub in all aspects.
@@bertholdbach4959You have no idea what you’re talking about. Sit back down and let the adults talk.
Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
5167, time only? 🤔
The date is mostly immaterial in the argument presented in this video..
Is the same tiffany letters i don't understan kanjar stamp and tiffany you have too pay a lot of money for the same watch😮
The Tiffany stamp I can understand more given the historical relationship, rarity and given it is stamped on the dial. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Keep up the great work, Marco. Agree with your thoughts on the Patek pieces. I'd go with proper complications when getting this brand but not time only pieces.
Definitely agree regarding Patek complications. Thank you for the continued support! 🙏
I own a 5167A and although I love it, I dont disagree with you. Its alot of money for a stainless watch with a rubber strap.
My list of watches I would like to buy, is long, but it's not one Patek on it, they are simply NOT good looking.
Totally fair, I think they make some beautiful timepieces that are definitely worth your attention. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Every single Rolex is grossly overrated
Great watch but certain brands just become bigger than their product. At retail I'm all in..
I personally disagree but I respect your opinion. Hope you enjoyed this video 🙏
@richardmorris6365 yeah, so much bigger that the brand itself outshines the milk toast watches they're cranking out & charging a mint for =/
Rolex rides on its history and marketing more than on their products.
The only Rolex I like are some Datejust models. I just dont understand what people see in those Submariners, OP, Airkings, etc...
And I have seen some in real life, either on the wrist of someone or in a Boutique.
@@bertholdbach4959 it's a fake history lol, subs were never used by navy seals, daytonas were never used by race car drivers; etc.
Man taking shots at roman with the khanjar
Say it, say it again, say it again, and keep saying it.
This video is a master class in how not to make a point.
What would you suggest to improve?
I’ll take a 5205 over an Aquanaut any day.
5205, 5396, 5235, 5130, 5230 and the list goes on and on of what I'd take over an Aquanaut. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
May I have a Campari on the rocks please.
Haha sure thing!
Richard Mille.... So ugly.... My Blancpain swatch is so much better.
cannot agree with you more
Thank you! 🙏
@ fair points! I didn't realise this. I stand corrected!
The Patek 5167 isn’t just time , it also includes a date . 😊
It's like the Daytona for me ,gorgeous but I'm not overpaying
I see a better case for RM011 than 11-03. Classic ti RM011 is such a cleaner design and has much stronger ties to the original design ethos than the 03. But then again those watches were $50k at one point while 5712's were also $20k-30k at the time. I don't think it's fair to criticize RM pricing and then praise the 5712 at it's current price since both have benefited from the same type of price action over the same period.
That Aquanaut doesnt even changes date instantaneous which is not acceptable by the brand which has a history of nearly 200 years and been the most prestigious watch brand
Roman likes this video 😂
Talking "worth it/not worth it" on luxury watches is useless. The production cost of a luxury watch is only around 10-15% of the retail price. Looking at the fact all are "not worth it" and "overrated". What really determine the value is not the complications, material, design, etc but the "story" that people believe about the watch for whatever reasons.
Ha ha ha ha I LOVE IT THIS IS SO TRUE I AM WITH YOU ON THAT FANTASTIC VIDEO THANKS
Thank you! 🙏
the watch price always determined by the conception of the market
Very true! Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Isnt this the dude from grey mkt
There are no watches offering value if they are sold above retail . I would even say that a lot of watches are not worth their retail price
We all have different thresholds of what we are willing to pay so totally fair. Hope you enjoyed this video 🙏
Why do you apologise in the first place? Are you affraid of someone?
You seem to have first hand experience with them, thats more than most of us here can claim.
The Watch Market Is Dead!
Thank you for helping me with the youtube algorithm 🙏
Have a few PP and Aquanut is just not interesting...
i think all luxury watches are overrated and overpriced. we are talking about "watches" that should at least serve the purpose of accurately telling the time consistently; 99% of the mechanical watches have no chance of winning that competition against even the most basic quartz watch like a f91w or a swatch. ergo i would say these luxury watches only serve the purpose of social status display or, to be more frank, to fill our ego. i myself love these overpriced garbages, and bought one santos retail early this year (not stupidly expensive, but are still, imo, waste of money), but my point is that it's hard to argue one luxury watch is overpriced and one isn't, as they all are, in an objective sense. we should just buy whatever we like as long as they are well within our budget.
The most over-rated watch brand is Rolex for the price regardless of the model.
There are tons of videos on RUclips comparing the built quality to $200 chinese watches, and Rolex loses the competition.
If a steel Rolex was $3000 watch, then it was a great purchase.
Amen
Thank you! 🙏
Dude, you have to stop apologizing. You undermine your own credibility when you keep saying "just my opinion," "for me personally," "you may see it differently," etc etc etc. We get it: it's YOUR opinion. Give it a rest...
You clearly have no idea about Roger Smith watches. They are expensive but he only produces 1 hand-made watch per month.
There is no “W” in the word no.
There's no w in pedant either.
That solidifies my point even further, thank you.
