WATCH PART 1 HERE ruclips.net/video/zGuNgBmxDvo/видео.html
I saw part 1 first but didn’t comment. I’ll go back and do that to show support. I haven’t purchased my Tesla yet. Just in the research stage and your videos are helpful. May I ask do you have tips for cold weather climates on RUclips?
10:24 You should NOT jump start your tesla battery to other cars. It is not supported and can damage your battery and electronics once the petrol engine is running and the alternator is running. This can damage your electronics and then the warranty is lost !!!
Kudos to you, brother! In July, my 2020 Model 3 was broadsided by a Nissan Titan. My dashcam, which was set to Auto, didn't record the event. But because of this video, I learned how to access those recordings from Tesla, and I got them today. So awesome. Thanks so much!
You're welcome in happy this helped!
Just bought a 22 Model S but I found some useful things in this video. Plus I love that you took the "too many 'guys'!" comments from the last video to heart for this one! LOL
i felt same
Glad it was helpful!
This is beyond excellent! Top notch information and presentation! It is so annoying when creators seem to try out for a comedy special, didn’t pre-pro their equipment or try to be too cutsie. This just the facts approach is welcome and appreciated.
Thank you
I always learn something from his videos!
👍🏾
I quickly discovered the changing gears while still moving, and never thought twice about it. That's probably because until I got my M3, I never drove automatic transmissions. For well over 40 years, I was used to stepping on the clutch and going from reverse to 1st, or vice versa, and often the car would still be moving when I released the clutch pedal to go in the new direction. I'm proud of the fact that I've only ever made a stab for the clutch twice, since purchasing the car over a year ago.
Nicee
Thanks for the vid. Now Siri can tell me my battery level. Fantastic!
Glad to help!
Learned a few tricks today. Thanks Mike!
Happy to help!
Current Model Y doesn't have a 12V lead-acid battery, it has a 16V Li Ion battery.
Thank you for this update!
…and it has very low capacity. Basically enough to get the high voltage battery activated. That’s the “thunk thunk” we hear, the HV contacts closing
Yes, and it should NOT be used for jump-starting other cars.
Mike, you are incredible…..I have had a Tesla two years and didn’t know these things
Happy to have helped you discover them! Make sure to check the other video as well!
Ok Mike thank you for the Siri tip! The head rest! The navigation on the Tesla app! So cool! Love your videos!
Thanks for watching!
You weren’t kidding. I didn’t know almost any of these. Thanks Mike, I owe you a beer!
🍻
Great video. Both Part One and Part Two were very helpful.
Thanks I’m happy they were helpful!
Like you thought, I thought I knew everything. But I did learn about the hidden headdress, and the scroll wheel customization. And I did like to review of all the other functions. Thank you.
awesome, if you have t already check the first video as well with 20 more
yeah, I never knew about the head rest either!
Just got a model 3 , so still working thru how to do everything. Can’t figure out how to check my stereo speakers or adjust the bass, fader etc. van you help? Thanks.
There’s a volume icon on the bottom right of the screen there’s a speaker icon. If you tap on it a slider will open. On the left side of that slider you’ll see a EQ button. Tap on it and you’ll get the menu you’re looking for. Congrats on the Model 3!
You are very good at providing valuable information! I am a new Y owner and learned some great stuff here!
Welcome aboard!
Great stuff! My favorite feature I stumbled across is songs on demand. If you active voice control and tell the car to play a specific song, it will do so-it doesn’t have every single song, but it has a lot! I’ve curated a playlist on trips before just by calling them up one after another while driving.
That's a great idea!
Check out even more cool voice commands here ruclips.net/video/UmWHcR1wpLQ/видео.html
Mike these are great. New owner this week. Commented on your last video didn’t know any of this either. The Tesla videos bored me I don’t need all the extra fluff. Live how you just say how to do it. Also the video is edited very well with the demos. Great stuff and thank you very much for this.
Thank you!
Never knew about most of these - thanks! The Siri integration is superb
You're welcome! Did you watch part one?
@@MikeSeuss I did indeed- thank you .
How would you view recorded footage when sentry mode was on
You can click the sentry icon in the app menu on the bottom of your Teslas screen
Good stuff Mike! I like the door unlatch feature and service mode. The 12v battery is a big Achilles heel for the tesla. Hopefully someday they will just use high V to low V converter and get rid of the 12v battery altogether.
Agreed!
The A1 Tesla reviewer has a rear door release upgrade and a stern talk with the kiddos to only pull them in an emergency.
You are lucky I’m not your neighbor, I would be bugging you constantly for help! Thanks for even more tips!
Haha you’re welcome
4:02 Great video, I was about to add a quick 5th control, but I think you meant to show the front B pillar camera instead of the side camera that we can access via the dashcam.
👍🏾
Hey man, do you have a link to that steering wheel cover in your video?
It looks awesome!!!
Thank you.
Hey it isn't a cover it's an entire steering wheel replacement you can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/HaOgoPoh8X8/видео.htmlsi=YX6-30cvuhtBEqA8
That was a good video. Helps a lot… Thxs
Glad it helped
Amazing stuff here. I’m about to buy a model Y and this stuff is way cool.
Thanks, and you’re going to love it!
The hidden 12V battery caught me off guard. Nice!
👍🏾
Just got my M3 about 2 months ago. Several of these were new discoveries, thanks!!
Welcome!
Thanks man! There were two of those hidden features I didnt know about. Thanks!
Awesome happy to have showed you!
The charging animation showing the full car is gone, did the software update remove it... can u cover it
Hmm its still there
Def saved. This is a every tesla owner must watch video, thanks Mike
No prob, check out pt 2
Hi Mike, when i get incoming phone calls in my Model 3, the ring volume is TOO LOUD. Is there a way to set/adjust ringtone lower? I tried lowering the volume on left scroll of steering wheel, but there must be a way to set it lower. Thoughts?
Hey Mike. I actually knew one of these hacks. Figured it out by accident when I lost my music bar. Finally noticed the musical note and voila, got my music bar back. Love your tips. I'd be lost without them. I have a Model 3 in Toronto, Canada. Thank you for all your tips. I'll forgo the car camping tho. I'm a motorcycle rider and have a tent that can cover my Harley!! Take care.
Thank you!
Geez. Just taught me 10-15 more! Thanks. Awesome & well done.
Thanks!
Thank you. I’ve learned so much from watching your videos.
😊
Thanks Mike. Do you search for the hidden features or do you piece meal from others. Good job.
It’s a combination of those two and figuring things out myself and also digging through the manual for things most people tend to look over
Excellent, thanks
Welcome! Check out part two!
Enjoyed the videos Mike but I have one question. When backing up, I use the three backup cameras but, if cross traffic approaches from behind me while backing, is there not a chime that should go off to warn me? My Lexus had that and it’s hard to believe Tesla would not have something similar.
Unfortunately there is no chime
Hopefully one gets added in the future
3:05 I wish Google would add this to Android phones. That's cool.
Hopefully soon
Great stuff ! Thank you for the advice ( keep up the good work ! ) Greetings from Dutch speaking Belgium Tesla freek .. (y)
Thank you!
Amazing! What great information. Like the one about auto-parking, it never worked for me until you.. Thanks.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the knowledge!
Any time!
Great video , when Highland gets released I'm getting the performance variant 👍🏻 so I've been watching tons of RUclips content ( yes im a Tesla fan boy 😂) so I knew all these features you mentioned 😊 but again thank you for the content , subscriber
Thank you!
Hi guys how can I change my odometer from Kms to Miles?
Change the setting in the menu under display
@@MikeSeuss thank you found it. Much appreciated
Great info as always
Thanks again!
Nice video.
Thanks make sure to watch part two!
I have a three-month Full self-driving, but there is Summon button, do you know why?
Are you saying you don't have the summon button?
yeah that's correct@@MikeSeuss
Excellent video, Sir! BTW your steering wheel is 🔥!
Thanks!
Question: I have a 2019 Model S. My app does not have live sentry mode. I saw you demonstrating on a short video, where you honk the horn, flash the lights, and talk through the exterior speaker. Is this a function on particular models? (3, Y, X) or on later models newer than 2019?
Unfortunately, You’ll need a refresh model with the included exterior speaker
So, your videos are only for model 3 and Y owners. I guess I'll unsubscribe. Thanks!
What are you talking about? I said you need a refresh model, that means the new model S. My videos are for ALL Teslas. But if you want to be childish and unsubscribe then please do because I would hate to have people like you on my channel.
@MikeSeuss I'm not being childish sir, but if none of the things work with my Model S, you're suggesting I buy a refreshed Model S? Thanks for your response.
Was just rear ended… so data report was amazing!👍👍👍
Glad this helped!
New Y owner here, so much to learn and your info is great! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Great job, Mike. I learned a lot from this one. Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
Awesome video brother! THANKS MUCH for all the great tips and info. This cuts the learning curve way down and gives people real world functionality, safety, and fun features. You're the man!
Very welcome! Make sure to check out part one!
Great video! I’ve had a MY for over a year and saw quite a few here I didn’t know about.
Nice make sure to check out the previous video as well!
@@MikeSeuss already did!
Hi! When giving someone remote access will they have access to all your info? Is there a way to restrict a driver from having access? Thx.
Giving someone remote access, you can build a profile for that person that is separate from yours. They wont be able to access any of your info, just the ability to drive the car.
@@MikeSeuss Thank you for your reply!
I didn’t know most of these features.😳
😉
Great video and content!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the tip to turn on parking assist! My FSD trial ends tomorrow, I’ll have to go try it.
HOW DO YOU PRECINDITION THE BATTERY FOR DRIVING ON A Model Y??? NOT for charging, but actually before driving??
The manual says to precindition the battery before driving, but not how. It also says to use the heated seats and the heated steering wheel instead of cabin heat if possible to save battery life. (usually seat heater keeps me warm enough, so not an issue)
And yet, the only pre-drive preconditioning I’ve seen listed is starting the climate before going out to leave - I’m encouraged not to run the heater when I’m in the car but I’m going to run it while the car is empty???
Oh, did they remove the option to add a 5th shortcut to the shortcut bar in the tesla phone app. never been able to make that work.
make sure to inform the people to check the odometer my paperwork said 15 miles actual odometer reading was 954. Can I go back and track that history?
Yikes!
5:13 that feature is needed when you have to rock the vehicle to get it unstuck
True!
Great video, thanks Mike!
You are welcome!
siri doesn't give me an answer. It tells me "You'll need to continue in Tesla."
Hmm I haven’t encountered this issue, all commands are working without having to use the app. I will definitely look into it though!
Nice! Appreciate the info
No problem!
Thanks!
Thank you so much
Hi! How can I find the CREEP-ROLL-HOLD mode on 2024 Model Y?
Can yu do a 5th quick control on a 2020 MX?
I believe so!
@@MikeSeuss How? My app looks nothing like yours though. I don't see icons, I see menus likes controls, climate, location, summon
@Pure3nrg is your app updated to the latest version?
@@MikeSeuss Yes, in the Apple App store it shows a MS app screen and that is what I see for my 2019 MX LR. I guess M3/MY are different. I see no way to do this. If I click controls for example it opens a new screen and I don't have the quick icon anymore.
Mike! Holy crap bro! I’ve honestly never seen such a massive improvement from a part 1 to part 2 video as far as your scripting is concerned!! 🔥 I don’t think you said “guys” even a single time! Great video awesome job! You taught me about the trunk hook and moving the blind spot screen view in this one thank you! Just a heads up a pre existing customer needs to order from within their own app, they won’t get the referral perks you mentioned by ordering from someone else’s referral code if they already own a Tesla.
Thank you 🙏🏾
Didn’t know most of these! Just tried Siri, brilliant!
😊
Enjoying your Tesla videos I recently have a problem with my driver seat settings that I hope you can help me resolve. My daughter has added her driver seat settings and now her settings have become the default. can you help me change back to my settings? when i get in the car i can barely get in the seat so i can go to the screen and press my name so the settings change to my preferences. THANKS
Thank you so much for watching and reaching out! It sounds like quite a pesky situation you’ve found yourself in with the driver seat settings. 😅 Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you sort this issue:
Set Your Profile as Primary (if possible):
On the main screen, tap your profile name (which might currently be your daughter’s).
Then, tap your profile name, and under the options, there should be one to “Set as Default Driver” or a similar option depending on the software version.
If for any reason you can’t set yours as the primary profile, here’s an alternative method to consider:
Adjust and Save Your Profile:
Adjust the seat (and steering wheel/mirror if necessary) to your preferred position.
Go to the ‘Profiles’ section on the screen and tap your name.
Tap 'Save’ and confirm any changes.
Easy Entry Setting:
Additionally, consider setting up an "Easy Entry" profile which moves the seat (and steering wheel) to a position that makes it easier to get in and out of the vehicle when it's parked.
To set up an 'Easy Entry' profile, adjust the seat and steering wheel to a comfortable position for getting in and out of the vehicle, then save those settings to a new driver profile named "Easy Entry" through the same menu.
Use of Key Fobs/Phone App:
If you're using key fobs, make sure to link your key fob to your driver profile by going to Controls > Locks, then assigning the key fob to your profile. Each driver can have their fob, which automatically adjusts settings when unlocked.
If you use the Tesla app, ensuring that the phone key is also linked to the correct profile is essential to avoid mix-ups.
Remember: Whenever there's a software update, it’s good practice to check if all the settings remain as you prefer, since updates can sometimes reset or alter personalized settings.
If you’ve tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, it might be a good idea to reach out directly to Tesla Support or your nearest service center for further assistance.
Hey, I am trying to figure out how to have heat go to my feet/legs instead of just blowing on my face. Is this a design flaw? thanks
2023 Model Y here but cannot find the auto park or summon features anywhere, hidden or otherwise. I do have FSD (beta) on 3 month trial. Great channel Mike!
Some 2023/24 models come with new hardware and at the moment those two features are inactive until a future update.
@@MikeSeuss thought that’s the case, thanks Mike!
…and here are 20 more “thank you’s” 😊
😁
you showed how the multimedia interface right above the climate control temperature spot can be shrunk down and becomes the music note on the icon bar, but when it’s open, did you know you can swipe right to left and the next screen over has your odometer, miles since last charge and miles for the current trip. easiest way to show your odometer without hiding the whole navigation screen if you go into control to get to the odometer display.
I don’t understand why there’s not an odometer always up on the top bar somewhere - ideally one with tenths of a mile - as there doesn’t seem to be any odometer with tenths of a mile in it.
Thanks a lot 😊
Most welcome 😊
How do change language of display
Go to Menu > Display > Language
3 questions. Are those seat covers? Where do you get them? Where you get the steering wheel?
All of these questions can be answered here ruclips.net/video/HaOgoPoh8X8/видео.htmlsi=GNXWr_36T5H8HbGg
I wish the scroll wheel could control the headlights to switch between Parking and Auto.
Maybe in the future!
Wow, these are new. Thanks.
Glad you like them! Make sure to watch pt.2!
Mike, Thanks for the great info. Ed
No problem!
I got the model y Tesla Feb 2023, I got the enhance autopilot but my car still has no auto park or summon. Should I be worried?
Yes you should be concerned, you are paying for something you haven’t received
Thank you!
Welcome!
Enabled Siri connectivity. Thanks.
Nice!
Good Stuff.. thanks
Glad you enjoyed it, hope you checked out the first one!
Wow thank you.
You're welcome
Nice tips
Glad you liked it, check out part two for 20 more!
Awesome , take care.
Thanks, you too!
From the Tesla website:
“CAUTION
Model 3 cannot be used to jump start another vehicle. Doing so can result in damage.” 11:06
Thanks
Wow Great Info
Glad it was helpful! Make sure to watch part two!
Where can I buy red seats like yours?
Check them out here ruclips.net/video/HaOgoPoh8X8/видео.html
Im a rookie here, but doesnt the Y also have air bags on the side of the seats and won't covering them interfere with their deployment?
I don't even have a Tesla, but RUclips recommended me this video so I watched it. Great to know, for if ever someday I'm not absolutely broke lol.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the hidden headrest tip. My Y does not have a 12 volt battery.
Thank you for this information
Do you mean you have a newer MY so it has the Li-ion battery that is a bit over 12v? Like 15 v or so?
Excellent video, we took notes. What is your accent? My Boston raised wife said it's a New York accent.
Yup that’s correct! 🗽
@@MikeSeuss She is in California now. She used to travel to New York back in the good old days to party. I will tell her she was correct. Thanks for the informative Tesla videos. She loves her 2021 Model 3.
I don't have the auto park feature on my 2023 M3 LR. I do have FSD but i guess it has to do with the new hardware
Hmm it’s a possibility
It’s not recommended to jump start another vehicle using the 12 volt battery. This is because the high voltage battery may be (or will start) charging the 12 volt battery and can damage the system. 😁
=\
About jumping someone with the Tesla 12 volt battery - I heard in another video that it is not advisable to use the Tesla 12 volt battery to jump someone's vehicle. So I will not do this hidden suggestion.
Thanks for the other hidden features, some of them I knew from other videos.
Hmm
FSD is currently not available for HW4 vehicles
Should be soon! They’re built for it!
Excellent video!! Lots of goodies to try. I ran out to my 2-day-old model X to try to find the manual release strap for the charger. I had asked the rep at delivery where the emergency manual release was for the charger port and he didn't know!! On the X the opening is at the top of the cubby. BUUUUT, of course, there was no strap hanging down. I put my fingers in there and felt a soft item which could be a strap OR an electrical connector for lights!! I didn't have the courage to try pulling it down even gently. Unfortunately at 127 miles the mobile service guy is coming as the door motor went nuts and pushed the window up past the top of the guides....oh yes I had sentry mode on and of course the car shut the door and the window made a dent in the molding before it bent horzontally and fractured! : ( Glass dust on the inside.....Will I ever fall back in love with this car? Is this car going to be the automotive Money Pit?
Yikes sorry to hear about these issues, I've had mines since 21 and no problems at all
The Tesla repair man came to the house and he was fantastic. While he worked he said to ask any questions. He didn't have to say that twice. I was prepared to have him say Id have to tKe it in for the glass, but after he took the door apart and installed a new motor he went to his Model S repair car and gets the glass out! I was impressed. He was in no hurry to leave. I asked about the charge doir release and he found it . The round squishy thing, but it didn't work. He had said Id have to take it into the shop for the trim and the release on the charger. Less than a minute later he game me a time and date that I wanted. He cleaned up everywhere he touched, loaded his tools and left. I was impressed! He said he bought a new model 3 and I commented about a discount. He said employees didn't get discounts on the cars but did get all the advanced features for free. Sweet deal actually.
In Sweden is it not possible to connect Siri whith the Tesla app. 😢
Oh wow im sorry
Parking future not available. Even not available to customize. 😢
=\
Warning: Never Tesla's have a 16 Volt battery NOT 12 Volt!
Thanks for providing this information!
correct, The new battery is not a lead-acid battery, and has a smaller connector, unsuitable for jump-starting other cars. The Tesla owners manual also indicates that it is not possible to jump start other cars with this new battery type: ruclips.net/video/8-MNFgashpQ/видео.html The new battery should have a much longer lifespan that a lead-acid battery, which should help with serenity mode. I don't now if Tesla is currently using the new battery in all models and factories.
