I read an article just last year (2021), where it mentioned that Corden actually went out of his way to call a meeting with those who help produce his TV show in the US and his main intention was to CUT the WAGES of the staff - the everyday men and women with families to feed, and take care of and mortgages to pay.
Add to that he goes out of his way to try and offend people but really can't handle anyone doing the same back to him.
To go back to the fergie thing. Fergie was known for knowing every one at every level of the club and having the time of day for them all. Corden treats anyone below him like shit

the 'sketches' he did for the england football team, or the national charity events....were ultimately about corden jumping on a national event to kiss as much celeb backside as possible and make himself 'liked'. it was precisely the fact that he he displayed no originality or artistic ability in just jumping on the bandwagon, kissing backside, where celebs all like him because he makes them feel better about themselves. He then took that to america where it's even worse.
peter kay did 'this is the way to armarillo' but didnt use that to make himself famous, he did it when he was already fully established with a solid body of work on his resume. He didn't make it about himself but did it for the army and the nation.
Furthermore, the whole carpool karaoke thing was also really just a stolen idea from peter kay's Max & Paddy eg when they were in the van singing. corden just took it and as usual made it about kissing upto celebs.

It’s not jealousy - who would want to be James Corden? The man’s a mess. I think what annoys people is he puts across a clearly fake over the top persona which only the gullible fall for. He isn’t genuine. As for successful, yes he’s made money but every film he’s ever been in, as an actor, has faired badly. He isn’t a leading man and I doubt he will be remembered in 30 years time.

Gavin and Stacey, the history boys,and the weight watchers things brilliant but he sold his soul when he got the American show he's a bell according to scores of people but he is a very good comic actor just his ego is far to big now to accommodate the dirt of thing he would thrive in
In rob brydens book he writes about a conversation with corden while they were on set about his diva attitude. He apparently just shrugged it off and said it's hard being him

There is a lot of allegedly followed by statements of fact..."he's a dick, he's a twat, he's this, he's that". Truth is, we are all human beings, complicated and flawed. We can be wankers one day and save someone's life the next. I can see why James might irritate people but I cannot understand the amount of vitriol towards him.
James Corden hasn't done anything good and certainly not saved anyone's life. He's got rather a lot of 'flaws' hasn't he?
