Paul was more secure than I ever could've been. Not only was Danny wildly adorable but he was living in one of the gayest cities in America -- and about to become famous.
Actually, Gen X changed everything, as they were the ones that had to deal with that mess. Gen Z just gets to live in the world we made for them. Bless.

I wonder why Danny didn't talk about his HIV positive status on the RW New Orleans reunion in 2022. It's not a secret and he does activist and outreach work for HIV awareness.
He did talk about it, but the producers chose not to air any of that footage. Instead, they chose to focus on Julie acting like a dumbass so they could get ratings. Danny did quite a few interviews where he discussed this.
He enjoyed the game and noteriety. No one forced him to pose for the Advocate cover and other photo shoots, he could have been more incognito, but he didn't. I hope Paul doesn't regret ending the career he loved
Paul and Danny were such a great couple; only reason I watched that season of Real World! Too bad they broke up later due to Danny cheating on Paul (if I remember reading about that, correctly...sigh/groan) and to make things even worse, Danny was later diagnosed with HIV☹️☹️☹️
Omggg I loved them on thee BEST season of the real world when I was a kid! That season inspired a lot in me and seeing Danny’s story helped me out as well! Soo sad to hear about Danny 😞

A time where hollywood was not shoving mixed raced families down peoples throats, 2 dads, or 2 moms. Or constant talk of racism when its not prevalent in a situation. The netflix show clickbait is a perfect example.
I served during “don’t ask don’t tell,” and the paranoia and anxiety was so extreme. I was always looking over my shoulder and rumors surrounded the base and I would have so many people asking me questions. I denied them as well. I honorably separated after one term. Thankful that the regulations have changed and you can now openly serve. 🫶🏽
