- The plaintiff says she rented a room from the defendant, but she claims she got kicked out so her housemate’s friend could move in. She claims the defendant tried to stab her, threw dishes at her door, and damaged her property, so she’s suing. The defendant denies damaging anything and says the defendant is only suing because she’s desperate for money.

The defendant quickly muttered "temporary"; a TRO is usually granted immediately because law enforcement does not know the situation yet..then the case is investigated and taken to court. There is no way an ACTUAL restraining order was granted as a result of this nonsense!

And I know the specific printer shes referencing! But! Pictures and receipts go a lonnngggg way. It's her burden to provide the judge with adequate proof. Especially if shes ignorant to the facts. I think she should've gotten something.
Well that's why you need to bring proof to the judge, they won't know every field on earth, its your job to explain and prove.
the amount she was claiming for art supplies for the paintings that were destroyed was more than what she was saying the paintings were worth. She highlights this and that is why she dismissed that and she had no evidence to support the cost. If she had a receipt for art supplies or something, it would be different but like everything else, there was no evidence and she was just making stuff up to pad her claim. Then there is also the matter of the artwork being illegal. Copyright is when you use more than 10% of the original, and Bart Simpson was definitely more than 10%, so to come to court and expect compensation the doctrine of clean hands comes into it.

Living with people who do not want you around is perhaps the worst thing that anyone can do. Do not force it. So, if you are not welcomed at a particular location, find another before the situation worsens.
I totally understand what you mean. Some people work hard to show it to you, which will increase interaction. Giving someone the cold shoulder is better in my opinion.

Notice the judge said "therapy dog" not "service dog". It's an emotional support animal that nit recognized as a service animal. An alleged friend of the plaintiff said that the poor dog can't take being away from its owner for "more than 2 sec". Doesn't sound like any trained service animal to me

Therapy dogs are for everyone (visit schools, hospitals, help in therapy sessions) but don't have public access rights, Service dogs are trained to help one person, and CAN GO EVERYWHERE, and ESAs are just pets. Every pet is an ESA, and by law they CANNOT go everywhere.

Some advice for when you go to court... If you want your seemingly bizarre claims to be taken seriously, don’t come in looking like you’re bonkers. Leave your lime green therapy dog at home. Put on glasses that fit in your face. And rehearse your argument so it makes sense. Oh, and don’t try to sue for trademark violation artwork you’re not even legally allowed to sell yourself.

The plaintiff was doing her artwork to earn the money to pay her rent. If the defendant was tearing up her artwork, then how was the plaintiff going to pay the defendant for her rent? And as an artist who used to paint for a living, I can attest to the fact that oilpaint does cost a lot of money and everyone of those paintings that the defendant was tearing up, was probably costing the plaintiff a fortune in the cost of paint

Also, the paint was used in the artwork so she's trying to charge twice. Paint might not be cheap, but it isn't as expensive as she claimed. Also, for those pictures she probably went the cheap route. I mean if you are painting on printer paper are you using high quality paint?

Yes, I agree, the tilting of the head seemed arrogant to me, with her chin tilted upward. She said her dog was a therapy animal. Emotional Support Animals do not have to be trained because they are approved by a therapist who deems them necessary to their owner. ESA/ therapy animals are completely different from service dogs.
I never cooked a day in my 42 years and i don't think it's embarrassing.

@@francevenezia some how thats not what I got.. I kinda think what happened was.. pink jacket was over using her space, over stepping her boundaries. A 3rd party person suggested that she charge her more. Pink jacket overheard this and jumped into ( save me mode) and started calling the people( landlord) pink Jacket caused the actual rift.. the other roommates would've been likely evicted as the defendant wasn't allowed to have them renting anyway. I think the defendant didn't have alot of options when it came done to the plaintiff. ( yes evict her.. but then they all could've been evicted) The plaintiff seems to have a silent since of entitlement. (I wanted to turn the kitchen into a gym) as if it was her kitchen to change into anything. She's artsy fartsy and these beautiful artsy folk usually don't last long in living environments with so many people.
