well to be fair to the defendant , i researched level 1 sex offender and according to what i found , level 1 is the least serious and it means the person is not likely to be a repeat offender and it mostly includes non violent offenses that are usually not felonies . so in other words a woman can simply make a claim against a man that he touched her inappropriately and if the man fails to get a good lawyer then he can now be listed as a level 1 sex offender because a woman he knew didnt like him - yes this happens .

Honestly, it's stuff like this that makes me think offenders can't ever be rehabilitated. Despite being caught, despite being on the registry, he lies about his name, invites a young and naive girl to rent a room, and immediately *before she even moves in* starts testing her defenses to see how far she'll let him go. Then when she's already there, the first time he sees weakness (she was tipsy) he actually tries to have an interaction with her. This man is a predator and a creep, just waiting for the opportunity to strike again and that is so often the case with sexual predators. If the situation arises, they'll take advantage of it without a second thought.

Must? No...Maybe should...If the landlord wants to change the locks they have to put that in the lease. You cannot decide you want to change the locks and then decide to make them pay for it. I know the last place I was in, I was kicked out because the management place said the owner wanted to move back in. I was only there for a year and I would have never moved in if I knew it was for a year. Anyway, I moved to a place that was a half mile away and I had to drive past the old place. One day I see 2 guys walking around the place so I called the management place to let them know because I thought I was being nice. The management place didn't want to give me my deposit back and when we went to court they added in all these charges including changing the locks. They were all thrown out and the judge told them they cannot charge me for changing the locks since I gave them all the keys back. They said they did it because I had moved so close. The judge said so if he moved 20 minutes away instead of 2 minutes you would keep the locks? That's stupid.

I have seen worse but yet all can be avoided with around a $20.00 fee to find out who you are really going to be living with. Shame on the mother for not looking out for her 20 y/o daughter getting her first place. I know kids do not like to hear resistance, but that is what being a parent is about sometimes. Safety first, hurt feelings can mend but a situation with probable assault is just being very shortsighted and reckless.

I think Judge Milian should have came down MUCH harder on this guy and given her money for both months back; but still a good judgement and she still hammered him. I think maybe she only gave her 1 month back as a possible punishment to hopefully teach her not to get into a potentially dangerous living arrangement like this ever again. Or maybe that's all she could do under the law, I'm for sure no expert so I'm speculating. :P
I know she has her reasons for the ruling though, she has studied psychology heavily and I can tell she is trying to be genuinely helpful in both her words and rulings towards the good people that appear on her show.

I would sleep in my car before I’d be alone with that guy!

I could totally see the defendant on To Catch a Predator and trying to give Chris Hansen the runaround.

He didn't even know the bf was there till he knocked. He sounds betrayed and pissed by it and can't let it go even in the interview.
The mom has no parental instincts, plaintiff should not depend on her to be the voice of caution.

18:33 He left out the part that he’s creepy, and obviously made the tenant feel uncomfortable. He should’ve disclosed that he was a registered sex offender before she moved in, or gave him any money! Notice the father didn’t say a word?

Both of them relied on their parents way too much. All that whispering the parents did on what to say and what to do was distracting! BOTH parents were guilty!

She’s still young and still learning.
I think she deserves a pass on that.
He’s a creep and still depends on dad

@Marilyn Willett That was my point! I said "Holding my head in shame" because I didn't wear the style well... at all! Here she is 30 years later, rocking it like she's back in the 80's/90's and it suits her, no one else could pull it off

Predator! They are charming, accommodating and somehow still pushy leading you to their lair! That's why he is upset when someone he's grooming has the AUDACITY to see what he's up to... So he gaslight them and makes them question themselves and believe they are being too sensitive... Then BHAM one day he's in your bed with you and you're frozen coz you don't know how it happened! Smh 🤦‍♀️

So grateful I have the ability to support myself. Just me and my dog. Bliss. That defendant was way inappropriate. I like the plaintiff. For her age she seems mature.

First of all.she shouldn't have replied to his first text.
Young girls always get hit on when they live on.their own.
    He was too intrusive.
    So they shared a room.
Why on earth would a 20 year old move in with a man she doesn't know.
    Her mother approved this arrangement.
