- This is a VERY special video as the whole family got in on it. We traveled to MO for Thanksgiving and the family was excited to "Midlife" the property. My brother and sister in law live on 150 acres and it's very easy for parts to get run down. We tacked maybe the biggest piece of land I've done - but the end result is EPIC!

That was definitely one of those "I know what needs to be done but I don't even know where to start" type of jobs. Had it not been for the small army of help, that would have taken your brother in law months to do.

Why do farmers always throw their junk everywhere instead of organizing things. So much easier on themselves if they try to keep organized.

I dont know where or what the other kids were doing, but that little guy worked his heart out helping you. Bet your brother-in-law was glad you showed up. You did a lot of work. Happy Thanksgiving. I can remember going to the ranch belonging to my father's family for Thanksgiving almost every year and working. Something always needed done, and things were always falling apart. When I was 14 dad and I rebuilt the front porch, when I was 19 we built a bathroom and leach lines; finally had indoor plumbing. Don't miss it.
I thought the same thing, but they sure did show up for lunch.😂 Great job as always. We all need a little fellow like that home, he's going to grow up to be a hard worker. Safe travels 🙏
They were out riding the dangerous machines (four wheelers, power bikes, etc.)
Farm kids have lots of chores, and maybe they didn't want to be on camera much.
Plus, don't forget it was Thanksgiving. Perhaps some were drafted into the kitchen.
It gives me joy to see a farm restored to clean, clear space and function. Every old farm has a boneyard, it's good to recycle the metal, burn off the thorns and reclaim the space.

That young man was really going at it with that weed eater, bless his heart! Wow. Just wow. Looks much like the farm my father bought when I was a kid. It was a wreck with old farm equipment all over the place. But dad set about cleaning it up, gornthat old Minnie Moe tractor working, set up fences. Rebuilt the barn and the house, and we raised our own beef, and had some horses. I REALLY relate to this one. A job well done.
That’s the coolest little kid. No whining just helping get it done.

The women WERE helping, just no so much on camera. Plus, don't forget they prepared the Thanksgiving feast, in addition to the fact that every farm has chores to do with the animals. I know in our family, everyone has chores. The animals never wait.

those stones arent cheap at landscaping places, unless you can did them up. All the wood is good for wintering small shelters for animals.

I'm amazed by this young man, I gotta say! Not only is he actually really helping out, he seems to be doing it with his own mind! He's not waiting around for somebody to tell him what to pick up or what to do with it, or how to best do whatever he's trying to do. He just does what he can to accomplish the goal as he sees fit. Bravo to this kid's parents for raising an actual man who seems like he'll be confident in all he endeavors to do!!

If you're working in stickers, you're going to need leather gloves! Also, a brush cutting trimmer would help. And a pitchfork for moving the piles. A farm raises crops and a ranch raises animals plus crops. There's always a learning curve, you do great work! ❤
Being from Michigan, there are no ranches, all properties are called farms and hence all who work land or animals are called farmers. Only in the west do we think of ranches and cowboys. Like someone said, it is a learning curve. Thanks for sharing!
Yep, they are all farms where I come from ....or , if they are big enough ,they are stations..( cattle station or sheep station) ,,New Zealand 🇳🇿 here😊
Well, here in the West, naturally Ranches are what I was taught. We are ridiculed for calling a Ranch a farm. Honestly I was trying to be helpful.
