On several fortunate occasions, I met Derek Bell at a variety of motor shows in the UK. The mighty winner of Le Mans was congenial, polite and humble all at once. We shared our mutual admiration for the high performance and racing versions of the 924, 944 and 968 - the most under-rated of all Porsches.
