If you asked where the differences are between the nx models and the essential - here's the answer.
Since i watched Plini playing a Strandberg i was interested in this Company @StrandbergguitarsOfficial .
Later, when Owane got his Classic-Model, i decided to buy the other color option. Some years later i own 4 Strandbergs, when the Company do a really clever step:
INTRODUCING THE BODEN ESSENTIAL
It has the same Shape, same good Strandberg custom OEM Pickups, same Endurneck, same Weight. There are only 4 differences to the other models:
1. Normal frets instead of fanned frets. So "usual Guitar"-Players can dive into the headless world.
2. The Price. The Essential costs 999$ / 1199€ . There are not many Strandbergs under 2000$/€
3. New Hardware (round knobs as potis, new Bridge Hardware)
4. The essential gigbag (looks like standard gigbag, but with less pads inside
when i grabbed it i only thought "damn, it doesn't look cheaper than my other guitars". When i started playing it directly felt familiar. I like the endurneck. I like the body shape, so you can play in different positions. And i like normal frets same as fanned frets.
So if you are interested in buying a lovely guitar with good quality and innovative futuristic features - dont wait. THIS ONE is a NOBRAINER.

Great backing track.I'm getting 1 from Sweetwater.Will be Plek-ed before I receive it.Had a Limited Run Trem equipped Strandberg-I wish I wouldn't have let go of.I asked for Normal frets for the TT guitars a few years ago. Glad to see I can get straight frets now.Maybe down the line,they'll do a straight fret Tempered Tuning guitar.
thx! 😍 Track is by me, will be released anywhen in the future. but does it work? I Thought True Tempered frets cant be straight. all in all pretty nice they made a strandberg with usual frets. but i have to be honest, i miss the fanned frets - just a bit 😅

How différent is the neck finish/smooth feeling ?
imo its made of two pieces like the other models. cuz the fingerboard is much darker than the rest. the feeling of the neck is very similar, but i guess it is not that sticky. idk why

@@patledoc got it.. So the difference is: The Neck is made of one piece, without quartersawn and carbon fiber. to be honest i didnt feel the difference during playing
How does the fretwork compare? Some people are claiming that essential has significantly worse frets
In my case the frets didn’t get worse , but idk maybe it’s unusual good build quality. I also heard other people talking about bad frets
I would like to know if the electronics are the same (blade switch, pots, etc)

@@MikePane NX standard models have very good stuff, CTS pots, switch and so on, i'm wondering if they have lowered the quality to keep the cost affordable.
@@simoneromano2512 maybe they have. i didnt recognize any quality issues. all in all the essential has a very good price-performance ratio comparing to the other models.
How do they compare in weight?
Strandberg website says 4,7 lbs /2,15kg on essential vs 5lbs / 2,3kg on original and standard . But I haven’t proofed on my own
So Boden essential is not Multiscale?
i will finally get one, its actually a feature i dont want and it comes in a cheaper package!!!!
@@tamask7749 congratulations mate. My problem is that the price in Europe is 1200 euro so I would rather put a little bit more money and get a different strandberg

@tamask7749 I guess it worths the price . I don’t feel like it’s a cheaper Strandberg. Sure it doesn’t have multiscsle , but the difference isn’t big. The essential is a good option
