So much great information!!! Thank you very much, from a noob perspective, it's so hard to troubleshoot with the sea of information online and many of the things you said make a lot of sense.
Got a brandnew anycubic 5s pro...13 misprints in a row. Only bottom layer stick to the fep , nothing more. Im close to giving up. Printed a year with an elegoo 4 without much issues
Testing. I believe mine is 5-6 layers at 30seconds each And my prints only ever fail when I don’t support correctly. You won’t find a definitive result because you’re trying to work with so many parameters. Resin, temperature, lift speed, build plate adhesion…. You will find a sweet spot with testing I promise.
very well explained. I have M7 Pro and I do see a bit of light flashing through the middle of the build plate. It is a bit concave. So you are saying that is normal? It doesn't need to be completely flat?
I have the non-pro M7 for a couple of days now and i'm having adhesion issues on the front center of the plate while printing. Also check the flatness with a ruler and it is indeed not 100% flat. But, having that said; could this also be a leveling issue of z-offset problem? I havent leveled the plate manually though since it should be factory leveled, so i will test this soon. Any tips are welcome!
I have a problem that i haven't seen anywhere i looked. First, the printer prints out a perfect rectangular "base" around hte base layer from one odge of the build plate to the other (parallel to hte shorter edge). Not much of aproblem, it just wastes a little more resin. But now it started printing this lump of resin, with more or less smoothe edges. I had this problem on my Photon Mono 2 and now on my Mars 4 pro. I don't know what i'm doing wrong or what i can do to fix it. edit: jsut the edges on the sides is smooth, the top and bottom edges are lumpy, as if there are supports in them but the resin has curred arround them. I've also noticed the last time that sheet of curred resin that is left in the vat when you perform the cleaning was also thinner than usual.
Can you point me in a right direction? I have Anycubic photon mono 4, just out of the box, i've leveled the plate, i've set recomended parameters for the resin, but the rafts on my prints are not sticking well to the front middle part of the plate. I've checked with the light method and didn't see any noticable gaps. What can cause such problem?
en una saturn 4 ultra con autonivelacion como solucionas ese problema de nivelacion ? por que claramente no esta funcionando su autonivelacion yo tengo esos proeblemas
Hey guys, since the last lychee update I've been getting failed prints and watching this video makes me think it might be this. Any way to send Derek a picture of my last print for his advice?
That's a very interesting video. I would have a question for you but first i have to tell what happened. I got myself a Saturn 4 Ultra and the auto-leveling thing, i can warn you, is complete bullsh*t. Plus, no lifting speed parameters as it's a tilting vat technology so you can't even save your prints if the problem is the peeling is too fast. I never, NEVER got a complete successful print. Half of the build plate is lost in every process. I met several problems listed in the video, and decided to check on a manual way to level the build plate. I did it, and of course everytime you have a serious problem, everything seems to be fine and so there is no plausible explaination to what's happening to you ! Then i tried to see if my build plate is concave and...it is. It seems there is something like a fraction of a millimeter, i can barely pass a paper sheet under but the light clearly passes under. My question is...What can I do to arrange it ? I tried so many things to at least achieve one single print, and nothing worked. I'm seriously considering sending everything back to Elegoo cause I have no time to deal with a supposed "print out of the box" machine that i nead to look for a hundred reasons of why it fails everytime.
Derek is the best! You guys are lucky he is on your team! Thank you!
Thank you! ❤

Great video and so informative! Thank you.
Great stuff!!!
Thanks!
Great video! Thank you. I'm going to have to figure out how to get that tool printed.
Great video. Thank you 🙏
How do I find the the right amount of transition layers and bottom layers?

Awesome thank you, does that also cause the splitting mid print??
Do you have a link to the 5 leveling print files and the device that applies even pressure to the build plate?
Link is in the description :)
Where can we get the tool shown at 1:29?

What would cause a plate to become unlevel once levelled?

5:02 where is this other video ? I am in this exact case 😂
It's coming! We have so many things to talk about :D
sometimes i print something and it looks great but then the side with the supports is glossy.. why is this?
Did you clean well without the supports?
Lol, we own the same adjustable speed square.
We know a good tool when we see one
In summary LEVEL your build plate for every print, you muppets.
If it's done right the first time, you have some prints before needing to do it again, but you're right, to be sure you can :D
