@joeyboscarino Hello, thanks for commenting. If you are talking about all the way open position the hinge kit comes with a cable that hooks on to the clam and then attaches it to one of the structural points of the car. So when it is all the way open, it is pulled tight. With the strut installed it does try to force it open. So at the mid point there is a point where it will try to balance itself. I tried to show this in the video. If there are any more questions please let me know!

How did you get your trunklid to stay up without holding it?
