Doing the install for the clam hinge as we speak. I honestly thought it'd be a pretty easy job. Boy was I wrong. I am mainly doing it solo and I'm around 10 hours in or so. Finally rerouted the battery lines and such. Much bigger of a project than I could've ever anticipated.
@DAaaMan64 i have taken some footage but didn't like how it turned out so been delaying. Thanks for watching and commenting. I will put a priority to making that video. Give me a couple days.
Hey thanks again for the video. I love the thoughtful explanation of the mods you've done to the process. I had another question. I was planning to skip battery relocation and I've already completed the rear panel replacement. Not including time to remove clam, how long would you say it would take an amateur? Sorry.
@DAaaMan64 thanks for watching and I'm glad it was helpful. If I had to sit take a day off and just get through this all in one go i bet I can do it in 8 hours (with help removing clam on and off). Maybe take an hour off for removing the clam. I ended up taking a couple weeks doing an hour or 2 a night and waiting on parts and taking my time. Good luck on your install!
Thanks for commenting. I did see a number written with a wax pen on them shims. I kept them all together. I ended up taking thickness measurements and had made some to replace them!
Excellent content, keep up the good work.
