So the Okinawan Sensei developed the “bone blocking” techniques when he was teaching larger people overseas. I like it when people can adapt their techniques to make themselves more effective. I’ve tried to do that also over the years.

I want see traditional Okinawan karate a bit modified and incorporated to MMA techniques, for example. I can see a lot more potential in traditional karate's techniques rather than in Muay Thai or kickboxing, or even taekwondo (which is not the same as karate at all!).
Also want too see application of it for real life self-defense. It bring hidden treasures in it and we don't know all of them. Videos with old japanese Senseis uncover those brilliant, simple and effective techniques

@@jackhammer5683 Karate was not developed for competition, but for self defense. It started changing in the late 19th and early 20th century, when it was introduced into the school system in Okinawa. It changed again when it was introduced to the universities in Japan. Much, if not most, of Karate now is taught with a sport Karate mind.

@@jackhammer5683 Okinawan karate cannot be made into sport. It is more like killing people or avoiding conflict all together. Sport is frowned upon because it is seen as "amatuerish".
That being said there are people who do sports. Everything thay can be made into sport in Japan has. Everything in Japan is a competitive sport.
If you learn Okinawan karate do it for yourself (self defense) not for others (impress crowds/show off/ego).

None of you got my point right. Never mind guys. Also you believe in deadly techniques that can kill person in one punch etc. So naive. You need to be more realistic. I just told that some technique are really authentic and can be applied in real situation.

Downward elbow to brain stem, stomp on neck on downed opponent, stomp on throat of downed opponent, various throat strikes while opponent is standing, kick to temple wearing footwear.

This works in combat sports too btw it's just really hard to do lol (also, can't be done in boxing gloves, but in mma or karate combat type gloves it's pretty doable)

Respects to all, no matter race, wealth, region, in this world we must help each other, we only have each other. Stand strong for rightus ways of Truth.

A block is a strike and a throw. A knee is a kick and a step. From my white belt through my black belt. This is the way that I was taught Kenpo.

There is hard blocking and soft blocking. All hard blocking should have some element of damage to the attacker. This blocking hurts.
It is easier to catch a punch with a soft block than a hard block. Hard blocks knock punch or kick away before you can catch it. Soft blocks accept the attack and have better musubi. Better musubi makes sweeping the leg with gedan barai or intercepting then catching the punch with shuto uke kake easier.
