He had 3 drill instructors, to include the Chief Drill Instructor just ripping him a new one. First they tried to get him to relax and slow his breathing but he wasnt having it. So our kill hat went up to him literally ripped his mask off his face and threw it across the room and told him to "go get it!" So he goes on all fours, crying, coughing, snot going all over the place, trying desperately to find his mask. All this while im just there breathing, dawning and clearing, and was like "wow this shit works!"

According to my drill instructors I'm of the last "breed" stock because I went through boot camp in 2007. Platoon 2106 lead series Gulf company Paris Island SC [Sept 04 2007 - November 2007]. That was my time in boot camp. I served honorably 2007-2011.
I was last class to graduate p.i. after 9/11 with jungle flavor non digi utilities. They finda way to celebrate. Every meal a banquet every formation a parade. Heh
The Drill Instructors at receiving are not going to be your actual training drill instructors. Their job is to walk you through inprocessing before handing you off to your actual drill instructors. You won't see them again unless you get put into a holding company which is also run by them.
The Marine Corps also has a "Receiving Company" where new recruits go and until "Black Friday" they will be there. Black Friday is the day you get picked up by your actual training company, and you will be put in your actual platoon with the drill instructors you will graduate with if all goes well.
I was talking about the female DI and I’m a girl. That’s DI Penado No Co 4027. I was there in 2018. Late April to early August. And I know there’s no DI’s in the Army, they’re called Drill Sergeants. Smh

I'm kind of torn in favor of having female Army drill sergeants wear the campaign hat or not. Nothing to do with the fact they are women per se, but I think it's a special symbol that they can call their own. Although I think if there's going to be a change, the way to do it is to take a vote of female drill sergeants, maybe current and recent past, on the matter. Speaking of headgear, it's really past time the Marine Corps adopted a beret in Marine green. If you've ever seen a British royal Marine in one, they are very similar, it looks really bad ass or cool or however you want to put it.
