100% RESPECT, from an Olé School Marine,,, Train hard Marines, when your training measure, out weighs the force you have to apply, your stressor levels will not, over take you. From an olé 2/7 0351 ‘77-‘80, back when we lived on Camp Pendleton, for shits and giggles, google the M40 106mmRR and the M242A5 mule, I was a gunner, behind the breech was a blast!!!

Now that I’ve been in law enforcement and military, I’ve discovered the military no matter what level doesn’t have the monopoly in marksmanship. I’ve met great shooters and teachers in civilian life and military. The military’s bragging rights comes in equipments and combat experiences (generation dependent)

Temps are reach 111 temp next week . The world could see apocalypse xxx .my head gasket on my cat engine blew. Got to tow tomorrow to yard to replace head gasket . I'm staying in A/C next few weeks . im sure power plants ate going have failures . Power lines and grids are going to go down.

Every recent conflict we’ve been in has been won in less then a yr. then politics and officers take over... and it is specifically because the average grunt that we do win in such short time periods. Force recon is way to small to win a war they are operators. Didn’t see any special gear different other than the helmet either. As far as training, those are very basic drills and I run those drills better than any of them did...not impressive. There was only one guy I saw that I would want to go to war with... he was taller and had his butt stock sucked in real tight. He was the only one I saw with any talent.
The Corps don't got that kind of money and it will always be like that in the Middle East. It has been like that before Christ walked the earth, there will never be peace down there. That's why Trump wants out and calls it an endless war but I get your point

@@afcgeo882 force recon is staying 1911 until they get the m18 the only marines getting the glocks are marsoc operators.
FR, and MARSOC units mainly use M45A1 while a select few units use the Glock. None SF will utilize M18s

I think these guys get a little bit more choice in their loadout. Some were rocking eotechs on their m4 and some had aimpoints. Some might want a MICH/ACH style helmet for the extra protection while others trade that for some comfort.
Technically, they do not get a choice. MARADMINS, MARCORSYSTCOM and PM-ICE mandate what they can wear. Recon pushes the limits on this. They get different body armor and helmets from the infantry. Which does not make sense as the infantry are the ones that are supposed to get in the fight. However, much of this is personally purchased. Young PLT commanders that let them get away with it. However, if something were to happen, heads would roll. Also, once these guys start getting shot at for real, the plates that fit will come back out.
@@adamrecon you have no idea what you are talking about. force recon has a bigger budget and get better gear. simple as that. force recon can do so much more than normal infantry and it shows. “heads would roll” lol people have been slaying bodies with these style helmets and body armor for the past 15 years

Why do they scan left and right after each drill?
"Look left, look right, can't the weapon to observe the bolt, place the weapon on safe, point the weapon down." Is taught to Marines in Combat training. The looking around after firing is to make sure the Marine isn't missing any information about his surroundings. There could be other bad guys out there!

It’s the plate carrier. Most of the time it’s hard to get a good sight picture. Especially for the ones issued to grunts.

michael wilson I worked in both theaters of operations during multiple deployments, these guys were exemplary to work with, no hype, fanfare, BS, just sheer execution. Professionals in every regard. I worked with a broad number of specialized units, though these guys were always my favorite.

What is purpose of looking left and right after firing?
To clear your surroundings in battle and to make sure there is no danger to your right or left. They practice muscle memory because the bad guys dont always stay in front of you in a fight.

Force should be part of SOCOM as primary deep / special recon unit. MAGTF would still have battalion recon to use
No, SOCOM, to the best of my knowledge, absorbed a Battalion of Recon guys to stand up a MARSOC Battalion. They would construct a pipeline and pave the way for future MARSOC operators.
MARSOC are essentially Marine Reconnaissance but for the SOC community and Marine Recon is still owned by the MAGTF.
Michael Redden MARSOC originally got its members from 1st and 2nd Force Recon companies and their direct action platoons not a recon battalion

F.R.O.G. flame resistant organizational gear. The body is cotton while the sleeves are ny/co ripstop I think. The cotton body will burn instead of melt to the wearer and is generally more comfortable under armor. We had a problem with certain fabrics melting during IED attacks on vehicles. These newer uniforms have been around for quite a few years now. The regular MARPAT cammies are still used for garrison wear, back yard field ops, etc.

Why did the Corps choose single-stack 1911A1 pistols when Glock 21 pistols could have been purchased for less money than the "tricked out" 1911A1?
I practice every day in call of duty with same weapon and attachment, and if I'm feeling frisky I go down and practice in tarkov hideout range, id destroy any one of these marines for sure

Glad these guys are on our side; little known fact is that these guys teach delta a lot of tips and tricks since they have different specialties. Delta is good but generally not as experienced as FORECON because FORECON draws from the best of the best of the Marine Corps, whereas delta mostly pulls from the army
Delta pulls from the Spec. Forces and Ranger assessment. As well invites hardened current Spec Ops. Force Recon are some bad Mofos, but Delta is Top Tier Special Forces group along with MARSOC

I’m well aware of what Recon and Force Recon are. But you’re talking about SOCOM guys, you see these guys in Country, you know these are elite. Shit, just to put in perspective Recon guys head over and Lat move to Try our for Navy Seals(SOCOM) most accomplish many do not. There is a difference. Again, I have many SF buddies as Well Recon Marines. Just 2 different ends of Spectrums

For example a lot of these guys I see have black MCMAP (marine corps martial arts program) belts, in addition to the fact that they’re all rifleman. Idk man the entire marine corps is riflemen and mcmaps so not only badass shooting like some of these delta guys are but also badass with their bare hands. Like I said delta is great but I just think marines bring a different level with their training!

This is just primary and secondary weapon range training. All Seabees, like myself, did this in ECS after A-school. Nothing special.

I think that's a M45A1. A gun that's similar to the 1911 but, a more modern & Improved version of it. The M45 is used by Green Berets as well.
