I got my XA1 in1983 when I passed first grade to second grade from my father who was a photographer, my mother had the XA2, I have both of them now, I remember going out that evening and finishing the film in that one evening, I still have those photos.
Late to the party, but never mind. I've had my XA2 since I bought it inew in 1984. I got it because without the flash attached it would slip inside a cigarette pack. Really handy when you want to have the camera around, but really don't want it noticed. Well I was in the Royal Air Force at the time. Not that I wanted to take it anywhere that was classified, but just having one around the accommodation was sometimes frowned upon when on detachments. Still have it, but don't use it nearly enough. The A11 flash works well enough too, when shooting indoors at close range.

The flash is good! I used it to shoot Provia 100f @200 at night -Halloween party- and got awesome results!
