Always happy to see another one of your videos pop up on my feed. You have to be one of my favourite low key, laid back - chill, you-tubers of all time. I don't understand why more people haven't caught on to your channel. As always, this video was informative without the trippy-hipster angel. Keep it up, I hope to see another one of your videos soon. Cheers from Canada.
Your problem with the inconsistent shutter button is due to your clamshell slide. It has an interlock to prevent the shutter from firing when the clamshell is not fully open. Take it off and clean the tracks and a little Vaseline on the detent spring and ball. Easy fix, look up the exploded view and fix it!
..i’ve got XA, XA3 and XA4. Love them, one of them always in my pocket when going outside, you never know when a picture shows up. Take care of THE XA2 and it will reward you!😎
Btw, would love to see that video you mentioned of you taking more night photos with the XA2. The night photos in this video are some of your best, IMO.❤️👍
Also my fave camera, so pocketable yet good results. FYI you could use self timer at the bottom if you're going to shoot at night with tripod, just in case lol
Right! It's great. Yes I've used the self timer, but the sound is pretty annoying and so far my "light touch" shots have provided sharp enough results haha.
This video is great! I am looking for a original XA but your laidback chill vibe makes me question myself what it is that I need. I also just want to take photos on film, and the XA2 can do that perfectly. Thanks, here is a balloon 🎈 you can have it
Great video, I just purchased an XA2 off of eBay. It'll be arriving in less than a week - I hope my shots turn out as great as yours in this video. It'll be my first film camera, hoping I made the right choice! Looking forward to your film walk at night with this, because I'm really interested in doing photo walks & starting to learn some street photography with this pocket sized point and shoot
I am what I would call an enthusiastic amateur photographer. In my years of what I’d call “serious” photography, the 1970’s, especially the years 1973 - ‘79, I took what I considered my best pictures. These were pictures taken at rock concerts. FOR MYSELF ONLY! I MADE NO MONEY FROM THESE IMAGES.
Actually, the reviews from the bed is a super funny and nice concept. Definitely want to see this again
Will do! best place to blog lol
First video of yours I’ve seen. Love your style my guy. Especially the last scene in bed in combination of your mellow voice! Please make more 😊

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah I was going for ultra chill on this one, maybe the next one will be in my sleep lol.

Great info! Thanks for the tip!
For the night shots on a tripod you can use the timer shooting option on the Botton of the camera. So it won't move. ;)
Really nice shots no matter what you use. You’ve got a good eye.❤️

I just got the original XA, I’ve been looking for it for AGES. It is a great camera and yes the first one is a rangefinder camera.
Pictures are super sharp! And looking good!
Thanks!
I’ve had mine for almost 20 years and never knew what the green light was for! Thanks

Thank you! I gotta get to it!

Congratulations! Thanks for reminding me! I gotta get out and shoot some more night shoots with it.
Hello I am interested in buying XA2 without a flash, may I know if this fares well with low light? Is a flash really necessary?
Not the best low light unless its on a tripod. And even then I believe it's maximum low slow shutter speed is 2seconds.
Lol i like your reviewing style. Cheers
Thanks!
Agree with the inconsistent shutter button. Sometimes I think it mocks me or judges my shots. Little bastard.
Maybe it's calling you to take a breath.
How did I only just see this video now? Anyways, I'm thinking your XA 2 vs my mju i, could be an interesting duel...🤠
Lets do it some time!
Using a tripod with this camera just fully defeats the point of a point and shoot haha

This video made me tired. You remind me of Fred Armisen if he was really sleepy.
