Why can't we have a GM like the Texans? I wouldn't sit back and just let division rivals stack up players. I'd be meddling at least or even making them have to give up more knowing we are interested too. We could've gave up a 2nd rounder especially with Ridley departing and our WR's isn't much outside of Kirk.

Baalke sucks. Yes he’s made some decent moves but overall he sucks. When you see what the Texans have done it really shows how bad Baalke really is
It's how good Nick is. What's happening now starts with him successfully navigating the trading of Watson. What he's done since has been remarkable. Look at the wide angle of the Diggs trade. Texans reached out to the Vikings to trade out of the first. Get the 2nd round pick from 2025 in the process. They turn that pick into Diggs and get an extra 5th this year and a 7th rounder next year. He then takes Diggs contract, voids out the final three years and put Diggs into position to be a FA after the year ends.
A motivated Diggs could have a great season. Both sides will be able to make a decision when the year ends. If he wants to leave, cool. Possible comp pick coming back somewhere between the 3rd and 5th. Slid back about twenty spots in the draft, turned it into a one year rental for a top WR and at least two more picks and maybe a 3rd. Next level ish compared to just about anyone.

i think we need to get either aiyuk or JJ. and maybe we can get someone puka in the late round and some how get what we lost from calvin back. there is no guaranteed that if we do get one of these WR in the first round that they will work out but obviously that is hindsight. i also dont think that kirk is #3 on the WR chart. hes 1 rn imo. i think we really do undervalue how much kirk has been for the success of this team. we saw how we were when he wasnt on the field. our D is pretty good but theres always room for improvement on the back end. i do think it is as simple as offering a 1st this year and a 2nd next with the possibility of a 1st next for either JJ, Aiyuk, or t higgins. now we trade up to get marvin thou im not mad either i just dont think we need to get rid of a player for the trade like how 9ers wanted zones. overall i agree.

While I am mad about the diggs trade I think we should keep calm as the season hasn’t started yet so diggs could be bad or good we will just have to wait but I do think the jags should get a wr1
Every time a trade is made or a person is a free agent you guys cry when we don't sign them. You can't sign Every one.
They almost certainly will take a corner in round 1 but I think they should gamble and take a shot on a young WR. The WR room right now is as about as Mid as you can get. That is not going to help a qb who struggled a bit last year.
I feel like the Jags organization should be doing all they can to put T Law in a position to succeed. But running back pretty much the same tired Oline and Wrs don't paint a pretty picture.

So this is what we should do going on. Get Brandon Ayuik or tee Higgins. I prefer tee Higgins because Trevor and him were in college together but whatever. But if you don’t get any wide receivers in free agency, then try to get a Brian Thomas jr or any good wide receiver in the draft. After getting a wide receiver do just defense. Get cb and some more defensive line players.
Adding my two cents on this, this made the Texans better on paper. On the other spectrum, am seeing similarities on how the media and us are reacting to this trade with the media and the rest of the AFC south when we made a trade for Calvin Ridley.
Though Diggs is more of a proven commodity than Ridley. I am not a supporter of our GM but am not with giving up a first for Autumn. If you want a WR, get that with the first two rounds or trade for Aiyuk for a second.
Hopefully this trade brings the asking price of Aiyuk down. Again, long term picture and if our GM has a brain, get us a WR in the first 2 rounds in the draft.

That sucks. It took the jaguars decades to find their franchise qb finally. T law is the only good and decent qb the jags had ever had. They can’t find him wr1 is painful. Decades for searching for the right qb and can’t even get him the weapons he need.

This won’t change a thing. There’s no guarantee that Stroud will pick up where he left off. Jags are still taking this division. Games aren’t played on paper. Diggs is a locker room cancer.

By voiding the final three years of his contract, the Texans have ensured that Diggs will have every incentive to perform...on and off the field. As an unrestricted free agent, he'd be able to command a pretty penny; but, if he has another episode like the one's he had at Minnesota and Buffalo, he's done! No other teams will touch him at 32 or 33 y/o, even if he has 200 catches and 20 TD's.
