      Dan, you are starting to sound like a chatty Patty on the issue. Talk football not gossip. So much to talk about the prospects of Shakir, Samuel's and Kincaid. Do we trade up for a big 3 WR. Diggs is gone, who cares about arguments from years past.

      Diggs seemed to me and most others to have addressed Josh to his face. On numerous occasions. I'm there were many off camera in private. Nothing cowardly on Diggs part. Nor his brother part. His brother expressed his own feelings for all to see. Nothing cowardly about that. He stood up for his big brother behalf. Again Nothing cowardly. He put his name on it. No anonymous weak cowardly stuff like so called former executives do when talking about Lamar the Great.

    Diggs body language with Josh changed after the first matchup lost to Dolphins in ‘22. When Josh Allen couldn’t complete a 1 yard pass for TD Diggs was furious because he had got open and Allen under thrown to Isiah Makenzie at the goal line turning the ball over on downs.

      As much as Id like to blame Diggs for that too, Dorsey did plenty to get himself canned, like never running the ball and always trying to push the ball downfield. This crap goes further back. Diggs made up his mind when Hamlin went down. Everyone was standing in shock on the field worried about their teamate, and Diggs was trying to get them motivated to play. Other players were looking at him like he was crazy. After that game you could see the disconnect, and i think at that point he decided he wanted out.

    Really pretty good information here. Very plausible. Thanks.
    I'd add this even though the video wasn't focused on this topic. I believe the Diggs and McD relationship was very broken. 13 seconds disaster really had a profound negative effect of Diggs. At that point, I think he pretty much lost Diggs.
    Add in the Bengals thrashing and the KC home divisional playoff loss.
    That's 3 straight playoff divisional losses two of which were home games.
    That was enough for Diggs to want out. He didn't believe in the McD rhetoric. He lost his trust in McD. Add in the fractured Josh relationship.
    You were about to see Minn. 2.0 in Buffalo if Diggs was in a Buffalo uniform. He had to be traded and it was best for both sides to move forward
    Are the Bills better without Diggs? Probably not. Can he be replaced and can the Bills win without him. Yes absolutely.
    This year the Bills really need to Allen to play smart. More specifically, limit the turnovers. The younger you and coming guys like Cook, Kincaid, and Shakir have to be productive.
    Another point of emphasis is OC Brady. Can he improve and keep defenses off balance. I thought he was very good the first few games. The play calling was excellent. However, with more film I felt like opposing defenses learned his tendencies. We will find out if he's up to the task.
    Lastly, I like to talk about head coach McD. Great guy, great team builder, a Buffalo type mold for sure. Hard to not like the man.
    However, is he the guy to lead this team past KC, Cinci, etc come playoff time? I have my serious doubts. I myself would have preferred a coaching change. I think his rhetoric is getting old and stale. Seems like groundhog day to me.
    Thanks for listening. Sorry for the rant.

    If he was really invested in the team, he would have figured out a way to make things work. The tweets and his brother getting into it, didn't help at all. Initially, IMO I took his excitement on the sidelines as rallying the rest of the players. But now that he's traded, it really doesn't matter. Personally, I'm excited for Shakir who should be coming into his own now that he is not in the shadow of Diggs. One last comment, Beane has a plan. he always does and he was probably working on it long before this. I'm waiting for what comes next. our GM will not disappoint us. The Celtics jersey is up to you. Maybe some people don't realize that is Basketball. Too bad the Braves got sold and moved out in the middle of the night. but that's a different story for a different day. Go Bills

    • @brandoncukrow4033
      @brandoncukrow4033 2 месяца назад +1

      Nah fuck the Celtics tho

    • @michaell5026
      @michaell5026 2 месяца назад

      A few comments here. Shakir really can't replace what Diggs did. Shakir looked good at the latter part of the season. I remain hopeful but he's still relatively unproven. Additionally, he was facing lesser quality CBs due to Diggs being guarded by teams CB1. The Bills still need a #1 WR. It remains to be seen how effective Shakir will be. Hopeful is my best word to describe it.
      Secondly, I believe the Diggs incident was pretty unexpected. Why? There is no way Beane wanted to eat 30M in cap space. To sugar coat this is pretty ridiculous. To put it in context, it's the biggest cap hit ever for a WR and non QB. Diggs had a lot of the leverage here and he forced his way out. Beane made a horrific decision to extend Diggs. He should have never done this especially with the Diggs' prior history. This part of the story doesn't seem to make news. While you have faith in Beane, this mistake isn't a small one. Neither was the Von acquisition. I like Beane and think he's very smart. However, the above moves and others have really put the team in a serve Cap restriction. He has a limited hand to play with.
      The Bills brass really have failed to take advantage of the rookie contract of Allen. Failed opportunities there for sure. That's when they had much more cap space and should have addressed oline and WR needs more effectively. Blown playoff games after another. Three straight divisional playoff losses. Not even a sniff at a SB appearance. By all accounts it looks bleak that this team can get over the hump and beat KC or Cinci in the playoffs.
      Beane's plans haven't panned out. McD choked away 13 seconds, the Cinci home game was embarrassing, and the Bills just lost a home playoff game vs a vulnerable Chiefs team.
      I get the new year and new season and new hope. It's what we do as fans. However, this fan thinks the Bills chances under Beane and McD are slowly fading away. The McD rhetoric is getting old, other teams look better than Buffalo.
      The Bills still have Allen and that is what keeps our hopes alive. Thus far, his Superman cape is pretty dusty. He's no Mahomes, McD is no Reid, and Beane is no Veach.
      What I'm advocating is change. At the very least, coaching changes. This Bills team needs a new attitude, a new look, a different massage, a different scheme. Running it back and expecting the same results is not prudent.
      Go Bills!

    • @peterwilson4865
      @peterwilson4865 2 месяца назад

      @@michaell5026 they've been absolutely devastated by injuries the past two years leading into the playoffs. They lost by 3 to a "vulnerable" KC team that won the SB because of their very healthy and very dominant defense. If Buffalo had the same defense they fielded at the beginning of the Pittsburgh game, they win that game by a couple scores. Even just having Gabe Davis instead of Sherfield at WR2 would've been a game changer. There's not really any gap between Buffalo and KC the last 3 years in the playoffs, just dumb luck and players not making plays in crunch time. I think a youth movement will make a huge difference in the health category come playoff time. But they're basically out from under Von and Diggs's contracts come next year after Von did the pay cut. They'll be in good shape going forward. They just got unlucky with Von getting the ACL injury because he looked every bit the part leading up to it.

    • @michaell5026
      @michaell5026 2 месяца назад

      @@peterwilson4865 I hear what you are saying. Injuries did play a role in a negative way. However, that's really only part of the equation. All teams had injuries. Let me remind you. Cinci had 3 offensive lineman out, Mahomes was playing on one leg, etc...The Bills frankly just can't get it done up to this point. In all those games the Bills had a healthy Allen. 13 seconds was devastating to the team and organization. I don't think they recovered from that. Three straight divisional playoff losses and two of them were home games. Injuries aside the Bills were still home favorites according to Vegas.
      Bottom line is McD and the Bills coaching staff hasn't gotten it done. 13 seconds is a glaring example of incompetence, the Cinci game plan and preparation was horrific, and the Bills finally got a home playoff game vs KC. Waited years for this opportunity. Besides Davis the whole offense was very healthy. They could get it done! Another disappointing loss. How many more before you see the obvious?
      The injury excuse is getting old. The McD rhetoric is getting old. IMHO, Diggs firmly believed that McD can't beat KC, Cinci, etc come playoff time. It has been blow opportunities year after year. This team hasn't even come close to sniffing the super bowl.
      Now it's another season and we fans are drinking the cool aid again. The similar cool aid the Beane and McD have made. The other cool aid wasn't as good because Frazier's defense could stop anyone when it counted. Daboll and his offense was slowing down. Couldn't get it done. Now it's a change to McD and Brady.
      Frankly, the Reid and Mahomes combination is one the Bills can't touch. Their drink is a proven winner over and over and over. It's not as close as you think.

    Diggs isn't a #1, not anymore. He's going to play all 3 spots this coming season, but I suspect 45-50% will be in the slot. I've tried to tell ppl that the ultimate hope with Diggs was that by yr 5, we did extend him, was that maybe we could fill the Beasley role that we've been missing the past 2 seasons. I see Diggs getting 100 targets at best if they have all 3 receivers healthy, and 80 receptions for 1000 yards, 5 TD. The Bills got better this off-season. In a perfect world we would get more for Diggs. That's what brings me to my next topic.
    Love Aiyuk, had him on my fantasy team this past yr, and if the Bills traded for him, I would keep him. (2 man keeper league) because we know he'll thrive. What I don't like about that trade.... it's how we got Diggs in the first place. We traded a #1 for Diggs. Jefferson is obviously phenomenal! I want to draft a guy this yr and next yr, and the yr after that if need be to find the right fit on first time deals! I don't want to draft a 26 yr old receiver, I want 2-3 22 yr old receivers over the next 2-3 seasons that become the next greatest show on turf. I would actually this yr like to see them trade back and go after 2 WR's first and second pick in the 2nd round, meaning if they ended up with a 2 and a 4 in return for the 1, we spend both of our picks on WR. I'll eventually except whatever they do, but to me...the draft capital is worth more than a player that's been in the league for a few yrs. At least at the skilled positions, I prefer youth and raw ability now that we have a seasoned QB.

How'd you feel if you were told the team doesn't need you to win? Yea, that'd leave a sour taste in anyone's mouth. But Brady proved it. We dont need gim to win. And actually, i think its better for Josh because although he didnt have the stats, we won a lot. And if our defense was even half healthy, wed have neatn KC and potentially the SB....
