For a true Prince fan like me i have 2 say...this is the BEST COVER OF PURPLE RAIN PERIOD. I've heard of L.A. GUNS but never heard any of their music before, but I will be checking them out. If they still tour I'll check out for sure. They sounded REALLY GOOD and I appreciate their musicianship. People think musicians like these are just super talented...and maybe they are at making their performances look effortless . But what they are actually talented at is the discipline to practice EVERYDAY which is what a musician must do to hone his skill until it's second nature. Playing music is a skill, not a gift, though some people may be blessed with certain attributes that can help them, without the discipline to practice everyday, it's waisted. Guys like L.A. Guns and hell even Prince put in a lot of fucking work to jam for us the way they do, and I just wanted them and everyone now I REALLY APPRECIATE AND ADMIRE ALL THE WORK THEY HAVE TO DO TO ENTERTAIN A DRUNK ASSHOLE LIKE ME !!! cheers
The one singing is Michael Grant. He has since been replaced in the lineup. I would still suggest L.A. Guns if you are into the 80s bands like Motley Crue and Guns n Roses. They put on a great show and are a nice throwback to those times. And they still put out new music unlike a lot if other big nostalgia bands. I went to this show just for fun. I had heard of them but never really listened. Now i am a fan. I went to two more of their shows since and have a 4th this year.

But MG and Phil were having problems, so Phil let him go. I guess there was some heat between them. Tracii tried to keep MG in the band.

Anyone who plays for LA Guns knows it's only temporary. There have been close to 50 people coming and going from that band. What does that tell you? Oh yeah, Michael's replacement Johnny Monaco lasted about two weeks before he was shit canned.
