Hello, I don't know if you'll read this but my upcoming situation is the complete opposite. My parents are the ones sending me to the Navy and me and my boyfriend have been together for 6 months and we plan to have a future. What makes me scared is not being able to see him as much. As of now of covid, it has been a struggle as it is to see him. But we are connected and believe to be soulmates that's how close. So all I am saying is I don't know how this rollercoaster is going to affect me emotionally and for him. He loves me so much he says he will wait for me and we'll be in this together. So during Bootcamp, it lasts for several weeks correct, and that also means you don't have contact with the person? And afterward, they have to go to a school depending on their job right? Sorry it's so many questions I don't know who else to turn to because I don't know anyone else that has this scenario where the girl goes to the Navy and the boyfriend stays. I was thinking about getting married so I can get some benefits so see him. I don't know though, so now that covid is slowing down could he still possibly visit me? I am not worried about face timing him I want to be able to see him during Christmas and thanksgiving etc. I want to be able to get leave time, so are you saying after a couple of weeks being in school there's no leave time or something? And I heard depending on your rank you get to live off base and I want to have that privilege so I don't know if your boyfriend has that yet but I just want to know I'll be okay and will be able to see him. So on weekends mostly could I leave base ( if the base was near home where my boyfriend is)? I know that over time I could get privileges and possibly leave base with certain curfews but how soon do all these circumstances apply, do I have to wait weeks or months (which I am ok doing) but years do I have to wait to get privileges like seeing him as often as I like. So all I am saying at what ranking could the type of privileges could I possibly get where I get to see my boyfriend or hear from him? And how quickly could I get more privileges or moving ranks? I know everyone is different depending on jobs I just want to have the personal freedom to see my boyfriend or family. Sorry if it's a lot I don't know if you know most of the answers to my questions. If you have any advice that would be great!
hi i’m sorry i barely saw ur message!! i did a video on bootcamp which kind of explains some questions u have. also i think if you guys have a stable relationship and believe and trust each other u will be fine!! the military is a little different for everybody and for me i couldn’t really see my boyfriend when he was in a school only bc of Covid but if not it would of been a normal sort of school schedule. also my bf is deployed over seas so i cannot see him at all until he gets leave days and where he is at even if he didn’t live on base u can’t live with him bc u have to be married. i think things will get easier as u go through them! just communicate with your partner A LOT from what’s happening, to your goals, to what bothers you! i hope this helped and i’m sorry for answering so late!

❤️❤️❤️
